This is a review for Carrs, Palmer Pharmacy. I went to pick up a prescription and asked if they could check one of the discount prescription cards that they usually have right there or that you know I have in my wallet. The young man at the register was polite and did so. When it turned out cost more to use a discount discount card, I went original price. However, in the course of a couple of the price that came up on my prescription was now significantly higher. I asked why that was the case and he didn't know. pharmacist who came over and told me price changes that's the new price that was his . So I declined to fill the prescription indicated that I was going to transfer it to another . When I tried to get the name of the prescription, the gentleman at the window told me I had to go get back in line. So I just point in time. I cannot tell you how many times I've had other problems at . I do not recommend it at all. read more

Where is the kombucha?!? If I could have found the kombucha, five stars. Wasn't by the juice or the area with all the other individual drinks. The cafe section and Starbucks at this Carr's/Safeway is top notch. The Starbucks actually feels like a coffee shop or with its own little side area, fireplace, and plenty of seating. The cafe has tons of portions including a sandwich section, hot and cold deli section, sushi section, and a salad bar. Everything was clean and organized even though it was very busy when I went in. I used the self checkout. It was smooth and easy. I even forgot to grab my cash back and they made an announcement over the loud speaker before I was out of the store. read more

Love this Carr's location! Plenty of variety and lots of room to shop. Lines are never long and there are plenty of lanes for self check-out. I can go in and quickly grab anything I need with no hassle. read more

The new Carrs store in Palmer opened late last week. It's nearly twice the size of the old store. Nicely lit, and yet it still seems a bit dark in places. The bakery and deli counters especially. The pharmacy is right in the center of the back wall of the store, causing lines to block the main aisle, and when I walked through there were only about 5 people in line. No specific natural foods section as in other stores. The natural food brands and organic brands are mixed in with their regular counterparts. Probably more efficient for comparison shopping but will be a transition for people who normally just hit the natural foods section and call it good. The floral and veggie departments are right inside the door. Nice large floral area and lots of vases etc to choose from. In keeping with the Palmer theme there is a cool old rusty tractor on your way to the veggies. Expanded produce department and well organized. Starbucks in the opposite corner with a fireplace. Do we really need a Starbucks in both grocery stores in Palmer?! "Sushi counter" seemed to be a grab and go case of pre-made sushi (not unlike Fred's, but I didn't see anyone making them, watching is part of the fun isn't it?!) A couple of lanes for self checkout (thank you!) and several regular lanes with plenty of cashiers. As I was walking out the man in front of me with a very full cart pointed out the sidewalks into the parking lot weren't cart friendly except right at the designated entrances. Awkward for people parking on the side. Overall, a pretty store. Great place to go and bump into several people you know. read more

This review is specifically for the floral department at this Carr's location. My father-in-law passed away in December. I wanted an arrangement for a service we had for him. The staff was so incredibly helpful and compassionate, especially Barb. The floral arrangement they produced was stunning. I will continue to use them again and again for my floral needs. read more

Cashiers can be sloooooow. Too busy talking to customers. It took 20 seconds or more to get to the next item to scan. Mean while, 2 people behind us go to different lines. My wife makes me go wait in the car when she checks out because she can't stand how impatient I get. read more

I like this Carr's. I agree that it is kinda dark though. They've got a nice selection and I like the overall layout of the store. They've got a great prepared foods section: take-n-heat, hot foods, and salad bar. Great selection of grab n go items. Bakery choices are also very decent. read more

This store is always clean and well stocked. The produce selection is so much better than other local grocery stores. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. This Specific location even has a Starbucks inside for all of those addicts out there! The alcohol selection is great as well. Seems to me there is something for everyone here! I have been using the Palmer Carrs pharmacy for a long time, and the service is pretty good. Palmer Carrs meat prices are usually a bit lower than Fred Meyers across the street, and most other stuff a bit higher. It's a nice-looking store though. I usually go there for the meat dept or the pharmacy, then finish up buying some other stuff even though I know it would probably be cheaper at FM, because I can't be bothered going there. read more

Carrs Palmer is kind of OK, but Fred Meyers right across the street has them beat on most prices and services, and product range.

Nicest location I've seen so far. Nice ambiance and the staff at the pharmacy are always helpful and rarely is there a line if you don't go at peak hours. Never have had a problem with the store....few minor problems with the pharmacy, but nothing that would demote the store a star. They are a well earned 5 star yelp! d:-) read more

If you want to spend forever looking around and chatting with passerbys this is the store for you. For the rest of us, who want to get in, buy our groceries and go live our lives this isn't the place. It's also dark and dreary. The video rental area is horrible and crowded with hardly any movies. I miss the old Carrs :( Positive note is the people who work here are still super nice and an MVFCU that has late hours. read more

Ive lived in the area near Carrs for about 8 years now and what ive found is that Carrs for the most part is a lot more expensive to shop. most of their products are marked up higher on average.. I only shop there sometimes because its a lot closer.. one nice thing about Carrs is the salad bar. The Chinese food isn't very good.. Fred Meyer sends you a check reimbursement every once in a while which is a big motivator to shop there read more
