Meaning when she was taken by ambulance, he was the surgeon on call so we couldn't check references or ask for another surgeon. He was extremely cold and rude not only to her but, to me. He told her, in front of me that she was probably going to die and "it served her right". To this day, we have no clue what he meant because she has a progressive disease that causes her organs to prolapse and perforate. Not exactly anything that she has control over. She was in critical care and received very sub-standard care. She fell out of bed and ripped her stitches. They came in, picked her up, said nothing, put her back in bed and walked out. I came in later that night and found her in her hospital gown covered in dried blood, crying. After discharge, he was unfortunately the follow up surgeon. He cut her open in his office with no anesthesia. For no reason. She had to gaping wounds in her abdomen. He did this six separate times. He refused to transfer her care to another surgeon. She finally refused to go back so her stomach could heal. Because of what he did, he caused nine abdominal hernias that she had to have operated on. And she had to have her abdominal wall reconstructed. When he cut her open in the office, he put his hand in the wound and ripped her stomach muscles. To this day, she has problems and also has PTSD from the trauma he put her through.

They always explained "why" a procedure was being recommended or a medicine prescribed. I felt listened to and my opinion was considered before action was taken. Dr. Bailey and her team have been particularly caring, polite, an efficient in all of our interactions over the past several years. Scheduling and communications with staff have been exceptional. One nurse told me after waiting an hour and a half for surgery that the laser machine was broken and they had to fix it. This made me so nervous. I was going in for cataract surgery. That same nurse yelled out my name and added 'Come on down!' Very loudly as if she was on a game show. Very unprofessional. My second surgery the anesthesiologist was not at my surgery, but gave the job to a young nurse. The first cut hurt and I said "ow" and she said she'd give me more medicine. I should've never remembered anything from the surgery room. I asked my doctor about it and I said where was the anesthesiologist? He said he was in the building. Not good enough. My medical driver said they were so rude to her she will never drive another patient there again. This tells you everything you need to know to not use this facility.
