No one answered the buzzer when we (me and the ambulance drivers) rang. Finally one of the ambulance drivers forced the sliding doors open and we came in. No alarms rang, no one came to check and no one wondered how we got in with two ambulance EMTs, myself and my dad on a stretcher. I have called for three days and left messages for a return call and no one has responded. Finally today, after no response, I started going down the list of extensions until I got someone who answered. Ms JT at extension 1018 was no help and very rude. When I asked for her supervisor she said he was unavailable and when I asked for the nursing director, she said she was unable to give out that information. I think there are better facilities available elsewhere.

Our experience has been a solid 10 with every aspect of the community, and we wouldn't necessarily qualify as easy to please. The grounds and buildings are immaculate, staff in all areas are friendly and accommodating, and the food in all dining venues is consistently restaurant quality with incredible variety. Residents are genuinely enjoying their retirement here and there is a relaxed, friendly culture. There is an impressive range of activities, classes, interest groups and entertainment. Having spent a 40-yr career in healthcare, I asked to tour the assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing units. All reflected high quality care in immaculately clean, homelike surroundings. As long term care goes, this is as good as it gets (as a former nursing home administrator and director of nursing service, I'm in a position to assess this accurately). The other place didn't even remind her to go eat and left her in the same clothes day after day but Legacy makes sure she eats nutritious meals and snacks, they help her shower and change clothes, have activities that she loves and the staff is caring and seem to enjoy their jobs. The nurse Rebecca and the administrative staff greet you by name and always ask if there's anything you are concerned about. My mom's room is always clean and she is encouraged to join in on whatever is being done. She enjoys bingo, exercise, food, and when they go on outings to eat at local restaurants. Legacy Long Meadow is above and beyond anything you can expect. I have been an RN for 30+ years and have been to most of the facilities in Katy, Richmond, Sugarland, and West Houston but Legacy Long Meadow is the best. I saw Dr. Jacobs at the first visit where he applied a special solution and subsequent pad to the bottom of my foot, saw him two weeks later for an additional treatment and then two weeks later for a check up. Doctor Bridges show me the injury on the X-rays and explained clearly my treatment options. We made an appointment for surgery between Christmas and New Year at Memorial Herman Surgery Center on Kingsland. Amanda, her surgery coordinator even found me an appointment in an urgent care facility to get a surgery clearance since my doctor office was closed for the holidays and many medical facilities overbooked with people seeking Covid testing for holiday travel. Doctor Bridges operated on me on December 28th. She came to see me before surgery to explain everything and gave me reinsurance. She is so sweet and comforting. Few days after surgery I had some nerve pain. She had given me her cellular phone number so I was able to contact her easily. She send quickly a prescription to my pharmacy. During the follow up visits to change the dressing, the nurses were friendly, caring and gentle. They took X-rays at every visit to assess the healing process. The doctor explained thoroughly what to expect, gave a time frame on expected progress and answered all my questions. I am now waddling in my walking boot and mending well. This doctor is going above and beyond for her patients. I am very thankful for her outstanding care! My tip: Do not go anywhere else!
