It's only been about two weeks and I miss the Industrious space terribly. My team and I keep talking about how much we miss them. The spaces they have are nice, other tenants are cool, and the Industrious staff is the best part about the community here. Keizha and Ryan are super friendly and committed to making sure you and your team are comfortable. (Plus there's a wellness room if you need to just step away and decompress.) I loved all the snacks and the events they hosted. The office is extremely dog-friendly! Despite being allergic to all kinds of dogs, dogs around the office didn't bother me one bit.

I luckily live walking distance so it's easy for me to get to. They charge $5 an hour for Wifi (or $25 a day), which I think is totally reasonable since there is unlimited coffee included, and I'd probably pay that or more at a coffee shop anyway. They have tons of outlets, and even offer chargers, mouse, keyboard, monitors if needed. If you are here during lunch time, there is a ton of great restaurants nearby to eat at or pick up food to eat while you work. I have a dog, and it's nice that they are super dog friendly! They even have an outdoor space in the back, but I typically sit inside with my dog. I am so happy that a place like Neon exists!!

After some Googling, I came across NEON and decided to call. Teddy answered and immediately scheduled a time to help me out. Even though I wasn't able to make it on the originally scheduled day, Teddy went above and beyond and came in on a day when the space was already booked for an event and very busy. He helped me get everything done quickly and efficiently. This was also around the holidays, so I'm especially grateful for the extra effort. NEON is a co-working space, but it has such a friendly, down-to-earth vibe. I really appreciate their flexible pricing model. You can pay for a day pass ($25) or by the hour ($5), which makes it affordable without feeling locked into a subscription you have to constantly justify. I'll definitely be coming back to do work here more often, meet people, and enjoy the amenities. There's even an outdoor space, which is a great bonus. Huge shoutout to Teddy and the NEON team for creating such a vibrant, cozy, and inviting space. Everyone is genuine, thoughtful, and happy to help with anything you might need. Highly recommend. Definitely check it out!

He then started to shove me from the residence. When he put his hands on me I said "don't fucking touch me get your hands off me". He continued and then stopped, then poked me three times saying "touch" each time. I have witnessed other gross misconduct by him before. At a party a girl was doing a keg stand and J Lo slapped her ass. She came down and her friend and her both said "No, you cannot do that" to which he stared at them with confused deer in headlight eyes. He did not apologize. Another time in a group chat while I was staying at the house he took a picture of a dish I left in the sink and shared it with he caption " this is disgusting i don't know who would eat this". To finish my story, the police came and put it straight to J Lo that it was clear that he had to allow me to retrieve my belongings. A police report has also been filed.

Since I no longer have any friends who can afford to live in SF (lol), I have been booking WeWork…read moredesks when I'm working virtually on days where I have something I want to go to in the evening (e.g. Awesome Orchestra performances/reading sessions, concerts...). That way, I can BART my way in and avoid the hassle of driving to SF and finding/paying for parking + potentially getting Cordelia's (my car) windows smashed. This location is super convenient--less than a 10 minute walk from the Montgomery BART station and right by Chinatown (less than 0.5 miles from a couple superrrr affordable dim sum places). The staff is friendly and very helpful. When my app was being dumb and not letting me online, they helped me to troubleshoot/fixed stuff up for me. The workspaces are very pleasant and clutter-free. There are phone rooms available that are actual rooms (vs a tinybooth as with another location) if you need to make calls/talk. There are a variety of free teas (mint, chai, earl grey, Jasmine green, roasted matcha, breakfast...) and a couple different types of coffee available (diff milks available in the fridge). I happened to be here on a day where they had a "brown paper bag nostalgia" event where you could pack a little bag with snacks (Oreos, chips ahoy, fruit snacks, microwave popcorn, lollipops, caprisun) and a "Teacher's Pet" drink (ginger ale, apple cider, and a little spiced rum with fresh lime). (For the record, I typically don't drink any alcohol since I can always taste the alcohol and hate the taste, but this was super tasty!! He went light on the alcohol though so several people went to the front desk to get an extra shot of alcohol added to theirs.) P.S. Floor to ceiling bathrooms should be a thing everywhere (they are here!).
