AVOID AVOID AVOID…read more Do not trust this place with your phone repairs. I brought my iPhone 16 Pro in for a screen replacement, which cost €250. A few weeks later, the screen shattered from a fall of less than a meter - onto a wooden floor - with a protective case on. I returned and was charged another €200 for a second replacement. This time, they added a screen protector - something they should have done in the first place. Not long after, a blue inky patch appeared on the top left of the screen and gradually spread, making the phone completely unusable. Crucially, the phone had not been dropped, hit, or damaged in any way after the second repair. When I went back, they made me wait over an hour while the phone was supposedly being "assessed" (it just sat untouched on a desk). Eventually, I was told I'd need another new screen--and that it wasn't their fault after spending EU550 with them on two screens. Ended up getting it fixed properly by another provider for €150. Bottom line: Terrible customer service, poor-quality parts, and you'll find better prices and reliability elsewhere. Avoid ExpressTech at all costs.

At first, they told me they were waiting for a replacement screen but since then radio silence. They stopped answering phone calls, emails go ignored, and their support has been completely useless. I've basically handed over my laptop and gotten zero updates or resolution. It feels like they've either lost my device or just can't be bothered anymore. Absolutely unprofessional and irresponsible. If you value your time, money, or your device -- go somewhere else.

So, having been introduced to the aural delights of very high definition sound by a colleague (damn…read morehim for sending me on this very expensive trail of sound perfection!!), I scoured the country looking for a retail store where I could buy quality HiFi product at not unreasonable prices in comparison to shipping in from the UK. I had been in the UK the week before and was quite ticked off with the constant *can we help you?* annoyance of the chains that side of the water. I was quite pleased therefore to find these happy chappies residing in a little out of the way location in South Dub. Anyway, went in with the intention of buying one particular unit which I had researched the begoonies out of on the web, listened to it and was instantly disappointed. Told the chap what I was looking for and was treated to what I can only describe as the total opposite of a sales pitch - instead, he pattered on as if talking to a long lost friend about the wonders of a long lost goldmine he'd recently discovered in a subterranean cave .... such was his passion for his sound! He wasn't interested in selling me the most my wallet would stretch to, instead he truly wanted me to understand the wide variety of ranges, be that a lowly all in one unit or a crazily priced and very blingy wow! machine. I decided on one particular unit, took happy possession of a fresh brown cardboard box and toddled on my way. Two hours later, arriving home, I find the damn thing is DOA! When I contacted Sevenoaks, there was no question of anything but an immediate refund or replacement - whichever I wished. I really did like the unit so opted for another go .... Uh-huh! .. wrong answer Wilbur! ... just my luck, the SECOND unit was DOA ... jeez.... Again, absolutely no problem, refund or swap-out, and this time they would put the unit on test in the store for an hour or two before I arrived to ensure it worked perfectly. Finally... to cut a long story short, TWO DOA units later I returned with the honest intention of swapping out one more time with fingers crossed, and then, got talking in-depth to subterranean cave guy ... and we talked, and talked, and eventually I went home with a completely different unit that while it cost me a few quid more, was a supremely better purchase all around and has performed flawlessly since installation. Third time lucky, a good deal done, and knowing where I will be returning to when I need to link the next room in the house up to my new sound mesh system. Strongly recommended.

Instead, all feedback and criticism were thrown back in our faces and indirectly told it was our fault. Thus, creating a high rate of staff turnover and constantly hearing how 'there is never enough people' or 'we had to get people from other stores'. Favouritism is rampant. They're also clearly not ashamed about whether it be amongst themselves or have favourites with sales staff. How can a sales advisor with over two years of seniority be provided less than 15 hours a week when a new sales advisor makes about 25? Let's not even get started on the number of passive-aggressive and downright unnecessarily rude comments I would receive. "Sure, I'm sick too; look at everything I've gotten done." or "And do you expect me to pull some jackets out of my pocket if there's none left in the stockroom?" When working with New Look, you never get a 'thank you' after being told to do a task. Instead, you're never really acknowledged or checked up on - unless it's a week before the annual poll. I complained once about how the new sales advisors aren't appropriately trained, and I was told they were fine. It's a blatant lie because they're too lazy to teach them. I have always found it interesting how the manager delegates the majority of her workload to her supervisors. Often, they pass on many tasks to the sales advisors, so they can only have a few things and then drag them out for the whole day. But, on the other hand, there have also been plenty of times when two or three supervisors would gather around a section of the store for an extended time and talk - not even about work. All the while, everyone else runs around and tries to pick up after them. Not only that, when it comes to closes they. They would spend quite a lot of time in the office counting cash, or even during the day, and they would spend a lot of their time doing "admin work". Overall, my experience at New look was very overwhelmingly negative from the onset and throughout. So whatever you do, save yourself from working at this place. It is not worth it in any way.
