Would have been nice to actually get it inside the shopping center but the West End spot suits it well. It's a very nicely laid out space with plenty of room. This is great due to the variety of stock they have on hand. Any major sport you think of, Nike will have something for it. Staff are friendly too, never had any issues. They seem talkative, attentive and ready to help.

For example I got a pair of Pegasus 31's for only €33 one day ! In my size too! All because there was a sign over the rack that said "Take an additional 20% off the lowest ticketed price. I also love the face that changing rooms have a big picture of the great Steve Prefontaine on the wall-thats what brings me back!

Bought a Cannondale Trail for €600 .After a few weeks it developed a knocking noise in the front…read moreshocks. Was told it was on the wrong settings and its fixed now.....it wasn't ! This time they offered to rebuild the shock....it was fine about a month then then knocking returned, returned to shop again. This time they said they would return the shock to Cannondale under warranty ,this would take two weeks, (a well I'm finally getting it fixed) . After a week they ring me and tell me there's nothing wrong with the bike and it won't be going to Cannondale to be fixed. At this stage I have the bike 8 months, and yes there is marks on it from being used. The manager tells me he can't give me a refund as there's marks on the fram. So it looks like I'm stuck with it. So this is my experience with cycle superstore, I certainly would not recommend them.

Nya, I've seen better sports shops than this!…read more So, I was on my mission to find those elusive cantebury tracksuit bottoms, ones that dont have elastic in the ankles. In i go into this store, the mens section was tiny! now obviously this wouldnt bother me at all and i dont mean to be sexist but isnt a mens section usually the same size fi not bigger than a womens section in most sports shops? Anyway, i did my little search, which didnt take long let me tell you, and there was no cantebury stuff at all, and al the other tracksuit bottoms had those awful gathered in ends with elastic, grrrrrr!!!! Had a little wander around the rest of the shop and i saw a similar situation in the childrens and womens section. None of the stuff was even particularly nice! At the end of my little trip to this shop I had concluded that this sports shop was actually more of a sports shop that was designed to sell sports stuff for fashion rather than for actually sports wear and that probably why the mens section was tiny, totally disappointed in direct sports shop personally but if your in the market for some everyday wear that is on the sporty side you might like something in here.

Well, it was and it wasn't. Yes, it is filled with every imaginable jersey but it is also filled with tons and tons of sports equipment. I was pretty excited because my boyfriend and I had been talking about getting some tennis rackets, but we're on a tight budget. I wandered around the shop for a while before I approached a sales assistant and asked for a little advice. He said they had some rackets but that another location would have more in stock. He also said that they come in a range of prices, from 20 euros and up! That is not bad for a tennis racket, not bad at all! I didn't end up buying anything, but when I need some sports stuff this'll be the place I come looking for it.

There was just one little thing that I didn't like ... conditioning. Now don't get me wrong I didn't have any problem running, etc while playing basketball, it's these little things that they make you do at the end of practice called suicides. I think the name says enough in itself. It's a dreadful line drill. Anyways that has always cemented in my head that running is punishment. So last year I foolishly took on the task of trying to run the Flora Women's mini-marathon, ok I was only planning on running like 2 miles and walking the rest. Since moving to Ireland the only running shoes I had were shipped over to me by my mom because I just found it so difficult to find a shop with a good selection of women's shoes that weren't outlandishly priced. A runner friend of mine recommended stopping into Mick Dowling's. I was amazed at the selection and how helpful the staff were. They even set me up with some other gear that I would need to make sure my training went off well. Now unfortunately for my training, the pub was right near the gym, and instead of encouraging our training my friend's boyfriend encouraged our drinking. Oh well, at least I have the gear the next time I decided to take up running.

No matter what the sporting ambition is the staff can help you, whether it's how big the studs on your football boots or cross country running shoes should be to what protein shakes/drinks will give you the results you want. I went for the punchbag and gloves combo, reasonably priced and easier to ignore than a treadmill in the corner of a room it was the perfect choice for me! Great shop with a shockingly large selection that I still go back to when I need sports stuff (however rarely that is).

I popped into this shop and was amazed at the selection they had of jerseys and other gear for all kinds of teams. Their products are extremely well-made and last a long, long time. Which is a good thing, because there's no way in hell I could afford to shop here on a regular basis. Now, this location is an outlet, meaning they sell merchandise from past seasons at a reduced price. The prices are indeed reduced heavily, but the fact that the starting price is so high means the reduced price is still high. I took a look around the store and was dismayed that I couldn't even buy a single item. Even a bra was only reduced to 27 euros. Sad face. If you are a camping nut or just enjoy being outside, this place is worthy of a stop in. Their stuff is really excellent and fun to just look at a wish for, as I do. The main drawback is that, because it is an outlet, you don't have as many options. You're definitely not seeing their full range, which is even more impressive.
