First impressions of this shop is that there is excellent selection and range but you are tempted to go through the racks to find your size, as you might anywhere. However you do need the help of the shop assistant as they keep a lot of their selection in the back or, in some cases only have one of that size, which can be annoying. The shop assistant was so rude on the day I was there. She wanted to tell us that everything was pretty and was clearly just hunting for a sale. When she didn't like something so much, rather than be honest, she'd just stay quiet or ask if you liked it. Her style was definitely at odds with my own and rather than accept that and just help with sizes, she got very snippy with me. Ordinarily, I'd mark a business down to one or two for this type of service. However, I did think the selection was good and the shop was quite roomy. Plus, she may have been having a bad day! The actual clothes for the most part are pitched at women 50+ yet there are a few gems in the occasion dresses for the younger punter. The sizes are very small fitting. You'll have to be prepared to move up the range. It seemed to range from 6-16 with a mix in also of S-L. You'll be actively encouraged by the staff to head up the road to the seamstress to get adjustments made. The accessories selection is sparse. Interestingly, they had some great coats and wraps and throw tops, great, I thought in particular for covering arms. **SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF MY MOTHER**…read more My mother Barbara Coughlan died last month on July 3rd, 2024. Mam was a frequent shopper at Lisa Baker in Lucan. Mam had bipolar and had the odd bout of mania where she would spend a lot of money in one go. It's safe to say blew all of her inheritance (£100k+) when her own mother died in 1998 at Lisa Bakers. The manager of Lisa Baker attended her reposing at Cunninghams in Lucan on the 8th of July. I was told 'if I there were any tags on anything to bring them back to the shop'. I expressed my appreciation and informed her that we would give the shop a shout out in the eulogy the following day of the funeral which my brother Conor honoured. Unsurprisingly, Lisa Baker and all her staff attended the funeral and paid their condolences. I went on to tell my father, step mother and siblings about the kind gesture of bringing bag tagged items. We all agreed it was a decent gesture and entirely fair considering her support of the business over the years. On Friday, August 17th I went back to Lisa Bakers with various items with tags on. I brought my best friend with me as something in my gut was telling me they would not be happy that I was returning with 3 bags of items. I can only describe that what took place was a pincer movement of the two staff in the shop (the blonde manager and a brunette member of staff) I was immediately told that she had never said that to me. I naturally went into shock - the implication was that I was lying. I asked if they were calling me a liar and was responded to with silence and knowing looks between the two. All I heard on a loop was they could not honour the tags as the stock could be old stock and that they could never make that kind of promise to anyone as they would not have the authority. At no point in time did they ask to look in the bags or even check what I had brought with me! The straw that broke the camels back was that I was then told in a patronising tone that my mother 'wouldn't want this'. It was said in a disparaging tone implying that I was letting myself and mam down. They said they had always treated my mother with kindness and she had treated them with kindness. All I can say is that there was zero kindness shown to me. Quite the opposite. They could have easily taken me to one side and handled the situation so differently. In the end I walked off as the two colleagues were going around in circles implying I was a liar and I said they should be ashamed of themselves and they were disgusting human beings. I stand by this. In retrospect - the funeral was a PR exercise for Lisa Baker and a good chance to plug the shop. The words at the reposing were fake lip service. They probably didn't expect mam to have any clothes with tags on. Or expected maybe one or two items to be returned. Whatever transpired - I'm writing this review because I feel duty bound to call out appalling customer service. I'm a business owner myself of 7.5 years and pride myself on my honesty, communication, integrity, connection and kindness. The staff at Lisa Baker deserve to be reprimanded for how they treated me and I suggest they get updated customer service training. Mam was literally a 'cash cow'. The funeral has passed and they've been given a nod in the eulogy at mass and online with RIP ie and they're washing their hands. I'm giving 1 star for the products as it's not possible to give 0 and hope that this review helps others.

I did my shopping in M & S on Tues and found all I needed, at a good price and all cruelty free and not tested on animals ! Plus lots of really good food, fresh veg, very nice helpful and friendly staff and furthermore all eggs in their foods are FREE RANGE ! Well done M & S, will be shopping there from now on !

It stocks all of the different sections that New Look has to offer, including Maternity, Inspire, Kids and Baby etc. The staff in this store are usually helpful, but sometimes don't offer to check the stock room or another store for you to check for a certain item if you need it. A fantastic store to visit when shopping in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre!
