We had vinyl floors and carpet installed in our home a few years back by them. Their contractors were bad and so was their customer service. As soon as they got paid, their tone changed. They became very hard to work with as far as getting them to fix the issues that their FIRST set of contractors created. I don't even know where to start. Their contractor hit my mailbox and didn't tell me. I knew it was them because when they came back I put the broken piece back in their tail light and it was a perfect fit. Then, when they finished the floors were uneven and they were separating when you walked on them. The baseboards were coming off of the walls among other things. The manager was rude to my wife and said we had to pay to have the floor leveled. We were told they would level it. Then after weeks of fighting, they sent a different set of contractors to our house to do it the right way. The new contractors found stacks of debris under the floor that was causing it to be uneven. Fast forward a few years. The floors have come apart in several places and it looks terrible. I'm paying a private contractor to do it the right way because I won't let their lack-luster contractors anywhere near my house. I guess the carpet they layer was nice, but to be honest Lowe's does a equally good of a job and the contractors are way nicer plus the job is cheaper. I needed new carpet and linoleum put in a house we were getting ready to sell. A friend of mine recommended this place, so I thought it would be good. I ordered everything needed and that went fine. The problem started when they told me they would let me know what day they would install. Well, they never did. Instead I get a call at 7 am. one day saying they are 5 minutes away. The thing is I live 1 1/2 hours away. Luckily my dad was in Springfield and met them there. On to the actual job, the carpet was installed ok,except the transitional pieces that divide rooms off were raised to a point and if you step on them they hurt your feet, and also they cracked a piece of trim and put scuff marks everywhere on the freshly painted walls. Now on to the kitchen linoleum. They made terrible cuts where there were gaps between the wall and linoleum, this could have been fixed with caulk, they also took off the wood trim, which makes no sense because the linoleum barely went up to where it is if they left it on and also broke 3 pieces in the process. There was also glue on the walls and in the kitchen sink where they did not even try to clean. It is obvious that they get paid by the job and not by hour since they dont care about the quality of the job. I had to spend 4 hours of my time fixing and cleaning up after they were done. Beware of this place, if you want good work done, go somewhere else. read more

In mid-2014 we wanted to remodel two bedrooms which we had emptied for painting. We thought it would be great if we could have new floors installed too. We shopped at Carpet Weavers and found a type of hardwood flooring that fit our budget and looked nice. Our salesperson was terrific. She bent over backwards to schedule the installation in our timeframe. Our salesperson said she got one of their top installers to do the job. We were very pleased. On installation day we got a call that the scheduled installer had an emergency and had located another installer to take over the job. There were a couple of minor disagreements about things we had paid for that he didn't want to do, but they were on the work order and he ended up doing them. And to be fair, the floor was installed beautifully. It looks great. What wasn't great was the condition of the walls and the trim afterwards. There were numerous chips and a few chunks taken out of the freshly painted walls. They were easily repaired. However the trim was a major disappointment. I can't figure out how someone skilled enough with wood to install a floor couldn't put back trim that was already precut to the proper dimensions. Maybe he had his helpers do it. Maybe they just wanted to be finished with the job. But the trim looks horrible. It gaps away from the wall and doesn't match up where there were cuts. I found nailheads sticking 1/2-inch out of a doorframe. There were even some nails they had bent over and hammered into the trim. This was the first time we had ever purchased a hardwood floor. I wondered if this is just what happens was part of the installation process. Months later we decided to install hardwood in another room. We hired a locally-owned company who did their own work. They were able to lay the floor AND not knock holes in the wall AND reinstall the trim seamlessly. So Carpet Weavers sold us a good product, with good sales support. The installation was half great and half terrible. Seems to depend on who you have as an installer. read more

I highly recommend Carpet Weavers, Lauren Ferry our sales person and all the sub-contractors they sent to our home. Because of health problems the idea of new flooring throughout our home was overwhelming but from the time I walked in the door of Carpet Weavers the people made me feel reassured it could be done and done well. Lauren took care of anything that came up and made us feel like family. The sub-contractors chosen by Carpet Weavers and Lauren Ferry went out of their way to be helpful. They went beyond what was required and left our home in better shape than it was when they came. These men were a pleasure to have in our home. We are very pleased with our carpet and vinyl flooring and can tell the job was done right. . read more
