Good: Great Job cleaning up water Bad: Customer service could be better Overall: If you're more concerned with the cleaning than the customer service, this could be a great option. I had a toilet overflow continuously for an at least 3 hours. I called a carpet cleaning company to ask if they could remove the water from the carpet. I was told that a water restoration service was necessary and Carpet Tech was recommended. They responded quickly and provided a rough estimate for the cost. When they came out they told me that they recommended removing padding from affected rooms and replacing it after running industrial fans. The experience of dealing with the technicians was great. The only complaint I had was that they removed a baseboard and discarded it. I would like to have had the discarded wood so I could carry it with me to find a suitable replacement. I also asked about cleaning a section of carpet that had putty (i.e. goo) in about a 2in by 2in section. They removed the carpet and replaced with a section of carpet that remained from the builder. The new carpet is seamless with the old section. At one point I asked about a military discount. I was told that there was one and it would applied to my bill. I received a bill in the mail about 2 months later for a remaining portion of the bill since they apparently did not charge me for the restoration. The bill showed that I had an unpaid balance over 60 days past due and another portion that was over 30 days past due even though this was the first bill I had received. I called to ask why I showed a past due balance on the first bill I received. I was never given an answer to this, but I just assumed that it didn't really matter given there was not financial consequence to this issue. I asked about the military discount I was told would be applied by the technician. I was then told that it did not apply to the restoration work. This is absolutely contrary to what I was told by the technician I spoke with at my home. A discount is a voluntary offering that is offered by the company, so I my issue is not with the absence of a discount, but rather a promise of a discount that was later not applied, after I received a past due bill as the first bill I received. The service was great. My carpet appears as if there was never an issue. Possibly the most impressive work was the replacement of a section of carpet that is seamlessly integrated. However, the customer service issues leaves a lasting impact on my perception of the company. read more

I scheduled an appointment online, and followed up with a phone call with this business. The date/time 7/23/22 @ 9 AM was provided and confirmed for carpet cleaning services. Well this morning, on the day of the appointment, 9 AM came and went and I was still waiting for the technician's arrival. I didn't receive a call stating the technician would be late or anything; no communication at all. Finally, at 9:37 AM, while still waiting for a technician to show up, I made a phone call to the company inquiring on the status of the technician's arrival as my appointment was for 9 AM and it's 9:37 AM and the technician has yet to arrive. The person answered the call, I provided my name and address and explained my appointment was confirmed for 9 AM and no one has shown up, called, etc. The person paused for about 30 seconds and then states "oh, your 'block of time' for the technician's arrival is 9 AM-11 AM, so they're not late at all, you just need to wait your turn". I explained to the person no correspondence, text, phone call confirmation, or email I received stated there would be a block of time for the technician's arrival. I read the text message to her and she still insisted I should understand how time blocks work. She became very condescending, speaking to me as if I were a child. She scolded me stating "any successful business will provide blocks of time and even if your confirmation from our customer service, text, or email doesn't specify a time block it should be automatically understood". I asked to speak with a manager. The manager came on the line and instantly started backing up what the representative stated. I asked the manager how was I supposed to'understand' my appointment was within a certain block of time when no one from your organization, no text message I received, and not even the confirmation email included this supposedly block of time. The manager then states "I apologize you don't understand how blocks of time work, nor do you understand the business process...." I cut her off and explained to her she would not be condescending towards me and make it seem like I'm the problem here, when clearly no communication I received from this service provider explained anything about a time block. She then stated, "well I have a technician SIX minutes away and he can be there between 30-45 minutes! I can do that favor for you". Favor for me??!!! AYFKM??!! I would have been fine with being provided a block of time initially, or even at appointment confirmation. However, the day of service, I'm waiting and then call to be fed an excuse. Nope, completely unacceptable. I canceled the appointment, and not because of the time situation, but because of how I was spoken to and how the tables were turned and the person answering the phone, as well as the manager all but stated "shame on you for not automatically understanding our appointments are on blocks of time and not specific times as stated on the text, email, or the verbal confirmation. On the recommendation of a friend I scheduled to have our carpets cleaned right before Thanksgiving with them.
