The WORST!! 0 stars! I needed to order vertical blinds and spoke to Jose. He provided a quote. I emailed and called several times. He didn't respond to my emails and when I called over a week ago, he said he was with a customer and would call me back but never did. Ridiculous to have to chase someone to place an order. His quote was on the low side vs. other quotes we'd gotten at that point and perhaps he didn't want to honor it. He could have said he made a mistake and given a new quote but to have no communication in business is stupid. I can only imagine the poor service level he would provide if there were any problems or questions. I found another company called Accent Window Coverings and ordered from them. The quote was as good. I've received excellent service from Scott and highly recommend him. It's too bad because we need wood flooring for our entire house and Harry was very helpful over the phone. We were going to see him for our floors but no way will we deal with that company for anything. read more

This place conducts POOR business, they 100% stole my money and made no effort to resolve the situation. I filed a complaint with BBB. I had gone in and selected some vinyl to be installed on my stairs. I paid, schedule an installation appt and went on my way. The installation representative did not show on the first installation date because Jose at Carpet Showcase failed to coordinate the appointment with the installer. When the installer came to my home the next weekend he was late. He rolled out the vinyl flooring in one sheet and glued it to my cement stairs leaving gaps on each step between the concrete and the vinyl, causing a safety hazard when using the stairs. He then came back a third time to install 5-6 metal or plastic pieces to the stairs since the vinyl would not secure to the floor. At this point I was unhappy with the result of the vinyl installation with the plastic piece because of the remaining gap which posed a safety hazard when using the stairs. He then proceeded to remove all the vinyl and I told him to please notify the store and take it back and have them contact me. No one called, so I called Jose at Carpet showcase again and he claimed that the installer showed him pictures of the installation so he paid him. Jose seemed mad at me with the whole situation. He said he would contact the installer and call me back, but never did. I called Jose back a few days later he told me there was nothing he could do but if I wanted to pick something else out and pay for it (AGAIN) he could help me. THIS PLACE IS DISHONEST AND DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS FOR HANDLING A SITUATION SO POORLY. I would stay away. read more

Stopped in here after having gotten a ridiculously expensive quote from Banner carpets, for a smaller carpet order. All we needed was enough for a set of 12 steps. This store was PERFECT for us, as they have left over pieces that they buy from people. We got a huge chunk of carpet, which Jose initially quoted as about $125. We were already happy with the price as it was, and when we went to pay, he totally hooked us up and charged us only $100, without us even having to ask. Looks like they also have a lot of other flooring options if you're in the market for that. read more

I needed to match some existing flooring in my home and tony was able to get what we needed. we received a sample to take home and confirm the color, called back, set up an appt. for someone to measure, and ordered the floor. after a few weeks someone called me to let me know that the order was in and set up a date for install. barry did an amazing job for the wood floor installation and I would highly recommend using him for your project. my experience was very seamless and easy going. thank you. read more

I called to get a quote on flooring and was asked literally 7 questions having nothing to do with the flooring. 'Who else have you called?' 'What did they tell you' etc. The guy clearly didn't want customers so I promptly ended the call. Wouldn't do business with this company based on the rude customer service from a simply call query. read more

After much research, I decided to go with Carpet Showcase in Santa Monica to replace our 15 year old carpet. Jose was very knowledgeable, got back to me right away, and gave me a competitive price. The main thing that tipped the sale in their favor was their in-house certified installers. I am now a very satisfied customer. The installers were very courteous and went beyond my expectations as to the scope of their work. We were remodeling last summer and got in touch with Harry from Carpet Showcase and he helped us out with carpet options. Took his time to explain the different qualities and materials and what would work best based on what we wanted and our budget. A year later and it still looks amazing. My parents just placed an order with them also and they couldn't be happier. We're definitely going back next summer when we do our hardwood floors. I have used them in the past & was happy with them even though I spent a bit more $$. This time I needed to save $ & Jose told me he would match the price of Crazy Hernandez Brothers bc he didn't want to lose my business. He kept telling me the other company would probably use cheaper quality material in order to get me to come down to the office. He knew I wasn't feeling well & had me come down to the office only to tell me he couldn't beat the quote of $1400 for over 1000 square feet, including non soak padding & taxes & everything. What a waste of my time trying to be loyal & give him repeated business. From now on I will use Crazy Hernandez Brothers bc they did have the best prices with same quality & Carpet Showcase has lost my business forever! We just had our new laminate floors put in and they look absolutely beautiful. I have been looking at floor samples for over six months. I went to Banner, USA, Alpine and Home Depot...and many online sites. I finally found what I was looking for at the Carpet Showcase - the right sample and the right service. Jose was our salesman and he is also part owner. He was perfect - Great customer service without being pushy. He gave us the best price he possibly could and even showed us his price and what he would be making on the sale. It was more than fair. The price included installation, moving furniture, removing and installing baseboards. The workers did beautiful, craftsman-like work. Based on my past flooring experiences, I was quite stunned by Jose and his crew. They are honest, hard working and professional. Jose delivered everything he said he would, when he said he would. Oh yeah - he friendly too! I'm one of those fussy perfectionst types - not always easy to deal with - and Jose dealt with me beautifully. He could not have possibly done anything better. I just had my beautiful, new, living room carpeting, which I purchased from Carpet Showcase in Santa Monica, installed this morning. Jose helped me with this purchase and made the whole thing sooo easy and comfortable. The price was fair and the service was great. Jose assured me that their installers were the best and he was right - they are! I was quite anxious about the whole process of buying new carpeting because it had been 20 years since I last did this and I am really happy with the outcome. I am over the moon with this place.The showroom is beautiful with a huge selection of floor coverings. Jose is The Man. He was honest, fair and trustworthy and I wouldn't have done the project if not for him. Martine, master installer, mover and shaker, and his coworker rock.They were the ultimate professionals and beyond experienced. Like magicians, they moved huge, heavy furniture that was in a very tight area -- a feat I thought impossible. Martine took photos before he started, so that he could put everything back in its original order. And, after the carpet was installed, he made sure that everything was hooked up and working. The carpet looks incredible. Impeccable workmanship. I had put this off for so many years thinking it would be my worst nightmare. But, Jose assured me it could be done, and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Both Jose and Martine made the whole experience so awesome, that it was almost surreal. Jose didn't even ask for a deposit up front, and the job took one day. How cool is that?
