Glad we got it cleaned out and we saw a photo of the clean vent. With lint in the vent or hose you can get a fire. I would recommend this company. They do a lot of other cleaning and restoration work. I only tried them for the dryer vent cleaning but would try them again on other jobs. Give them a call.

Belfor hired for restoration in April 2024.. May - July 2024 it took paint contractors to remove wallpaper, repair the drywall and paint. 1 of the 2 contractors likely doing drugs in my bathroom based on length of time in bathroom. Yelled back and forth to each other while I was working from home and didn't show up several times. There were issues with the paint that we advised Belfor of in July 2024. Tile installation began for bathroom floor and shower in June 2024, didn't show up a few times when he was supposed to, installed tile with chips that he tried to repair with resin, ended up replacing that tile and job finally finished in September. Shower door installed early September 2024, told Belfor shower pan had squeak in it (sign of poor installation), they tried putting foam below the shower pan. Then there was no work done for weeks, notified Belfor end of October, November 2024 plumbers came to address shower pan issue. Paint issues fixed in December 2024 (5 months after Belfor notified of issues). Advised Belfor December 2024 of issues with grout in shower, different tile contractor came that month, said there was several issues with tile. January 2025 water pooling outside of shower then shower door could not be closed. Ended up shower and all the tile had to be taken out along with about 1/2 of the tile on the floor. The Belfor project manager at that time started being responsive after we complained in January. From January until last week, tile completed then when glass contractors, Century Glass, tried to reinstall the shower glass they cracked tile like 3 times, tile guy had to come back and fix. Then from end of February until now, glass contractor tried over and over again to fix a leak from where glass meets the tile. Long story short, Belfor was the general contractor on this job, uses sub-par subcontractors. This job should have taken about 6 weeks, and it took over a year. New management, Cody, came into Belfor in February. He did assist and agreed to make adjustments to the invoice due to the delay. Neil became the project manager in late February, he was on top of everything and empathized that we were frustrated. He would call before a contractor came out (in the past we had them show up some times with no notice) and then would call after the contractor came to ensure work was done. If all project managers at Belfor took ownership of the jobs like Neil does, and Belfor used better subcontractors, there would probably 5 star reviews. On a personal note, last week when the job FINALLY got completed, we were side swiped - went from a homeowners to a auto claim - luck isn't on our side LOL

The man I originally spoke with said it sounded like a minor problem (bathtub faucet would not turn off) and if it could be repaired within the initial hour there would be no additional charge. The guy who responded was very polite, but apparent he was an apprentice. He had to confer with another plumber via FaceTime the entire time he attempted repairs. He also had to go get parts, ok, then try to put them on. Total bill was $1,000 and a journeyman plumber had to come back the next day to finish the repairs because he didn't know how to do it. I also asked him to relight the water heater as it had been shutoff during the repair. He said my water heater was too old to relight and gave me a quote for $2,300 to replace it. After he left I relit it myself. The business owner above said they had tried to contact me several times but I don't recall hearing from anyone. I get it that apprentices need practical experience to learn but not at my expense. If you hire them to make repairs be sure you ask for an experienced plumber.

Remember this detail. Called the insurance and they picked CRBR to do the restoration. Everything started pretty good, we had a crew showing up within a couple of days to do the soft content cleaning and place them in a POD that was parked in our driveway. Good. One of the guys showed up for an estimate and the scope. Good. Next step:demo. Done quickly. And this is when everything went downhill. All of the drywall was left in my driveway for weeks, with the promise of "oh tomorrow somebody is gonna come pick it up". When finally the trash was picked, crickets. For months. And months. Always an excuse "the project manager, quit" "the new project manager got fired" "the new project manager is catching up, sorry!" So I finally decided to go to the office in person. I have to say they were extremely nice and showed me the new scope and estimate which was about $10k higher than originally drafted. Naturally I asked if the insurance was notified and it was approved "of course, nothing to worry about!" Ok then let's go. Crickets. Crickets. Crickets. You remember my pregnant wife? My child was now 14 months old; but the job was done, at last! Couple weeks later, we got a letter that we needed to pay about $10k for the additional work. So called the insurance and they never approved anything. Called CRBR, they never sent the additional scope to the insurance company, but I still have to pay as the job was completed and I am responsible for it. Oh and they were gonna put us in collections if we don't pay. At this point I disclosed the fact that I'm actually IICRC certified in fire&smoke, water, mold and bio; and my wife is an insurance broker. We are the customers from hell in this case if you poke us. They sent a bill to the insurance with a whole bunch of parts that were claimed to be replaced but weren't: insurance fraud; we authorized the job to continue, signed the contract under false pretenses:illegal. And I wasn't shy about it, put me in collections, I'll sue you. Long story short, they sent a revised invoice to the insurance company (which dropped us, by the way, so thank you CRBR) and got their money. Do yourself a favor, call COIT or ServPro.

One of the first things I noticed was the pleasant scent - it is very light and does not smell like chemicals. My usual preference is for no scent, but I found myself preferring this delicate scent.
