To add to all of the above, this place is a commercial hub. There's a Starbucks right around the corner (50m) a doughnut place (not recommended), TD bank, BMO, salons and what not.

Naturally, I was heading to an eatery and arrived just past 5 pm. I needed to find a parking lot. I found this Green P parking lot on Delisle Avenue, which runs parallel to and is north of St. Clair Avenue West. Perfect! I pulled into the lot and landed a spot across from the ticket kiosk, steps away from the street. I backed into the spot. There was enough room for me to get out of my car. Some parking spots are super tight between them. It was decent here. I have the Green P app on my phone. I paid for parking through it. The lot code number is 13. I like using this app because if you need more time, you can extend your stay. I managed to do it and got an extra hour. It beats running back to the kiosk to get another ticket. I spent probably a good two hours in this neighbourhood. The flat rates are decent at this parking lot. If I wanted to max out my stay till 7 am on Thursday, the rate would be $6. The maximum rates do differ based on the parking ramp level that you are on Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 6 pm. I was on the ground level, so there wasn't a maximum. However, for the other levels, there are maximums. I was pleased finding this parking lot. My car was safe and sound. I'd return and park here whenever I'm back in this area. (357)

These days, I rarely am here and discovering a place to park was a cool exercise. I wanted to have a late lunch at Mascot Brewery. Parking along King Street West wasn't going to happen. Instead, I found this Impark across from Roy Thomson Hall, roughly a block up the street from where I wanted to dine. It's a part of RBC Wellington. You enter and exit the underground parking lot off Simcoe Street. There are three parking floors. I managed to find plenty of parking on P1. I parked across from the doors leading you to the elevator. It's clean in this lot. It's unusually clean. It's quite the feat! Each floor is clearly marked. There are constant reminders to note the level on which you have parked. You basically locate a parking kiosk that's located on each floor, in front of the elevator. You enter your licence plate (it's a shame that you can't give your ticket to someone if you have time left on it anymore), select your parking duration, and pay with a credit card. The kiosks do not accept cash or debit cards. I was standing there trying to determine how much time I needed to stuff my face with grub. I specified two hours. On weekdays, it's $8 each hour, up to maximum of $20. I paid $16. You then take your ticket with you. Determining whether $16 is expensive is subjective. Being in the theatre district and being so close to where I needed to be, $16 isn't horrible. It's also covered parking, so your car doesn't have to brave the elements or clear snow off your car like I had been doing for the past week. I predicted correctly. I was done casually eating lunch in 1.75 hours. I had enough time to waddle over to my car and leave with lots of time left to spare. When you leave or enter the parking lot, there is a single elevator that gets you to street level. It's elevator F. It's up to you to decide what the F stands for. It was food for me. If you find parking rates here to be expensive, you can always use a curse word as your favourite F word. You access the elevators through RBC Wellington on Wellington Street West. It's pleasant seeing waxed floors that reflect your face when you look down as you enter and exit the building. This parking lot is awesome when there aren't any performances happening at Roy Thomson Hall. You have plenty of spots to choose from. I can see this lot fully occupied quickly when there is a show across the street. I had a great experience. It makes me want to revisit Elephant and Castle, and check out Lobster Burger Bar a few doors from it. I have a parking lot that's steps away from them that I like. (480)

There's only one entrance, off Charles St. W., and one exit, to St. Mary St. I liked that the parking was covered. Your car doesn't overheat on a hot, sunny day and doesn't get covered in snow during a snowstorm. Rates per half hour or less are pretty pricey ($4.50), but day maximums on Saturdays and Sundays are more reasonable ($10 on Saturday and $9 on Sunday).

For years, I remember passing by this parking lot either by car or streetcar, but never parked there. Well, I finally parked in this Green P parking garage. It's located between Huron Street and Spadina Avenue, a smidge south of Dundas Street West. What's interesting is that you can access this parking garage from either Spadina Avenue or Dundas Street West. I entered from Spadina Avenue, as I was driving northbound from the Gardiner Expressway. After meeting up with my friends, I made a right on Dundas and headed eastbound to make t the scenic route home. I entered the parking garage and took a ticket from the machine. You take your ticket with you and pay at the machine just before you leave. I took an elevator up and I was fairly close to the restaurant on Dundas Street West where I'd be meeting up with them. It took me maybe a minute to walk over. It's an extremely convenient place to park if you are visiting either Chinatown or Kensington Market. I typically look for a parking spot on a side street, but I didn't want to risk staying there for a longer period. I knew that we'd be catching up and chatting for a while. Three hours later (told you!), I headed back to to the garage to pay for parking. I believe that I paid $9 for parking (food coma), which is the maximum rate on a weekday. It was a Wednesday. That rate wasn't bad. The best rate is parking from 6 am to 7 am for $6. I paid with a credit card. It was a smooth transaction. I took my ticket and receipt, and headed to my car. When you leave, you insert your ticket in the machine and you're free to go. I felt safe parking here. Parking ramp levels are clearly marked and are colour-coded. Parking spots can be a bit narrow if demand is high and the garage is full. Luckily, it wasn't super busy on a Wednesday afternoon, so I didn't have any cars parked on either side of me. For $6, this was a great place to park for a few hours.

I had always parked on Church Street, in a parking lot just north of Dundas Street East. Over the years, parking has become more limited. Some parking lots have been replaced by buildings in this area. Yes, I'm referring to the expansion of the Toronto Metropolitan (formerly Ryerson) University campus. My preferred location is a Green P underground parking lot at Yonge-Dundas Square. With the concert taking place on a Saturday evening, I knew that it would be difficult finding parking there. I was right. A gate was down to indicate that the lot was full. Did I have a plan B? Sure thing. I hit this parking lot, which I now know that it's called Unit Park. It's across from the Bond Street Hotel. Of note, I also have plans C and D. If they had all failed, I would have been extremely concerned! I got to Unit Park and nabbed a vacant spot facing Dundas Street East, at the very corner of Bond Street. It was a good evening. I have parked at this lot in the past years ago. Prices are more expensive here because it's considered hotel parking. It explains why it's not necessarily my first choice. However, the location is decent to get to Massey Hall, Eaton Centre, and more. During weekday hours, you do get an attendant who will collect your money and issue you a ticket. However, on weekends, you get payment kiosks. It was pretty busy by the time that I got there. There was a huge family using the left one and a couple using the right one. The family moved away en masse. I got to use the left kiosk. It was straightforward. You enter your licence plate number. The only option I got was to pay $20 for parking till 6 am. It is more expensive to park here. However, $20 isn't horrible to park for 12 hours in a touristy area. I paid with a credit card. My card was validated and the transaction went through fine. I got a ticket that you place on your car's dashboard. Easy peasy! I locked my car and was in the area for over five hours. I did touristy things. I shopped. I browsed. I saw a concert. I returned to my car. I always feel safe in this area. This lot is brightly lit. I was happy to return to my car and head home after a fairly long, but fun day out and about. Should I end up not finding a parking spot at my preferred lot again, I'd be happy to return to this one to park my car. (470)
