Came by the other day and it was a great experience. This parking garage was clean, had spacious parking, and is operated by the City of Toronto. Saw an attendant roaming the garage for safety although I did see some leftover belongings in the stairwell. Parking rates are ~$4.5 per half hour with a $20 max for entry after 10 am. Exit was a challenge as the ticket insertion box is a few feet away from the actual gate causing some confusion... read more

Green P Parking - Parking Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

This parking is great as there's always space, is not at all expensive being right in the mid-town. You can download the Green P app, load it with some money (I usually do $20), add your vehicle and choose the location ID and time period for which you'd like to park, it deducts the amount from your balance and here you are, parked like a king and of course there is the manual option of stepping off of your vehicle, going to the machine, paying with your card and sticking the sticker on your dash, but who does that now a days, right? To add to all of the above, this place is a commercial hub. There's a Starbucks right around the corner (50m) a doughnut place (not recommended), TD bank, BMO, salons and what not. read more

Great place to park. Not yet Electric Vehicle friendly, offering paid EV Chargers. They are definitely behind times and hope they equip at least 1 % of their parking spaces with paid EV-Chargers or 5 % with 120V outlets to become a relevant parking space supplier meeting current EV vehicle mix. read more

Expect to spend about 20$ which I think is fine given that it is in downtown Toronto. Plenty of Parking spaces, I have personally never seen it full. Not the best Parking in the city but certainly not the worst. read more

Fair price to be in Toronto. It was close to the hotel and it has good space to park.

Called Green P for the exact address and price structure at a specific parking lot the night before driving in to Toronto (2 Church Street). Upon arrival at the entrance the guard stated that "event" rates were in effect! Why didn't the Green P information staff mention this when I'd called them?! Green P lost my business. I left and parked at the Indigo Parking garage at 26 Wellington for an even lesser amount than Green P's stated rate which they wouldn't honour. read more

Thank you so much to Nicole, I called Green P this morning and she was so informative and helpful to me concerning parking options in downtown Toronto. I really appreciate it! read more

There is pretty much nothing I don't like about Green P parking or the app itself. Before the mobile app Green P parking was and still is one of the best options when it comes to public parking in Toronto. Also known as the Toronto Parking Authority, yes this is a municipal authority (city government) entity that is in charge of the public parking as opposed to private parking in the city of Toronto. What makes Green P so good? Well I admit I will attempt to park for free where ever it is available legally of course but from time to time when I'm not taking the TTC and I need to find reasonably priced parking in town easily - Green P is the way to go for a variety of reasons. The top reason? Availability. Green P has the most public parking in the city. If it's not an actual lot, it's street parking. Ain't no private parking going to be in charge of street parking. The streets are governed by Green P. Being able to find Green P parking is easier with the app because you can search for it based on your destination etc. Definitely another reason Green P is thumbs up is the price. Sure prices vary where ever you are. That's the way it is however if you look at many other parking structures or private companies say like Impark or cash lots you may find that the pricing is VERY competitive for Green P. Gone are the days of coin operated turn meters whether manual or digital. They've been replaced by printed ticket curbside vending machines that if you're paying by card or coins, you'll need to get your printed receipt and place it on your dash. If you want to pay via the app you can simply punch in the location ID and you don't need to feed a machine either with your card or coins to get a printed receipt to have to place back inside your vehicle. Using the App validates your parking without having to use the curbside machine at all. Using the app is easy. You tie your account to a credit card for reloading parking as needed. You actually only have to reload when you need it. I tried to find a way to reload it prior to actually needing it and I couldn't find a way. You can tie multiple payment methods such as credit cards, bank transaction cards (that are actually also credit cards) and even PayPal. When using the app to park all you need to do is simply log into the app, know the location ID of the lot or street area you are in (this number is posted clearly on the lot signs OR the curbside vending machines) and you can select how long you are going to park and the rate is given by hour. You can manually override how long you will be there based on hourly charge (such as if you're only going to be there for say half an hour) or even use the flat rate for a certain time period. Funds are automatically deducted from your Green P account and if you need to reload it on the spot that's fast and simple as well. You can pay for parking for basically ANY vehicle, including rentals or vehicles owned by others. The app DOES NOT CARE who owns the vehicle but rather as long as the license plate is entered in your app (all license plates/cars can be managed) and it's paid for, it's the same as if you had the paper receipt on your dash. When I went out one night I paid for my friend's parking using the app. He even had Florida plates and that was ok. I was able to add his vehicle and pay for his parking using my account. This allows for out of towners/tourists to use this app as well. The app has the advantage of not having to go back to the car to place a paper receipt on the dash as well as you don't have to use the lot or curbside vending machines. No card scan in public, no pocket full of change needed. Also the app has timers and will REMIND you when your parking will expire if you've set it up that way. How about renewing your parking from where ever you are without having to go back to your car. Sound good? Then get the app! Of course keep in mind there are some lots where parking at certain hours or overnight is not permitted. Certain streets do not allow parking say during rush hour etc. I've never used Green P during times when it was not valid so I can't say what kind of notification is given but besides any sort of times that are off limits, it won't allow you do pay for parking for invalid times. If you require a street parking permit you can even renew your permit via the app. To summarize: -Green P is a widely available option for parking all over the city of Toronto -Green P offers competitive parking rates if not better than most private lots -If you don't wish to use the lot or curbside vending machines to pay via card or coins the mobile app is available. -The mobile app can tie to multiple payment methods such as credit card or even PayPal -You can add any vehicle to the mobile app to be able to pay for parking including rentals and out of province vehicles including US plates -The app can notify you when your parking will expire beforehand Green P FTW! read more

Since its inception , i have used the Green P Parking app. The app has been revised and it is so user unfriendly that I have received 3 parking tags at $ 75.00 per tag. I cannot be the only dedicated Parking App user who is having difficulty with this unhelpful update. I will have to go back to old style payment until someone figures out what a pain the so called improvement really is. I cannot afford any more $ 75.00 tags. Marion read more

Following in the footsteps of many great Yelpers before me I think it important to give a rave review of the Toronto Parking Authority/Green P Parking. This is more of a review of the company on the whole as opposed to one lot specifically. Finding street parking in Toronto is not always easy, or convenient, especially when a parallel park is required and some traffic jockey is up your backside laying on the horn while you manoeuvre - "I'm only going to make more mistakes on purpose the more you act like dick, dude". Time and again the saving grace has been the familiar Green letter P with a arrow, hanging out on street corners like a helpful prostitute directing you(r car) towards a safe(ish) good time! Many lots and parking garages have ample parking but with the good also comes the bad, those pointless lots in high traffic areas with like 8-10 spots? Come on guys, you're so good with innovation (a point I plan to discuss next) why not implement the car parking racks like that have in NYC and Chicago where they're able to park 3-4 cars high in one spot. Especially when that's far more cost effective than building massive parking garages. That minor suggestion aside, and as I mentioned before, Green P/TPA has always been innovative with making parking more convenient for it's customers. They were quick to implement credit card pay stations to replace the coin and turn jobbies which peppered our city sidewalks only a few short years ago. Then they introduced a basic app to help you find parking, then the app allowed you to pay remotely at all lots, and now as if thye were actually listening to our prayers that same app allows you to pay for street parking as well.... and it's so easy. I'm a driver and likely always will be and green P makes my drives all the more worth it and dare I say even a little enjoyable! read more

The day the TTC raised their fare to $3 per ride was the day I started driving everywhere in Toronto. It was also the day Green P Parking and I started dating. We're "like this" now, by which I mean super tight! Green P lots are plentifully located around Toronto. They are well lit, clean and in areas convenient enough that I can usually find one near wherever I'm headed. After 6pm, the rates go down and typically turn into a flat rate until the next morning (usually about $6 -- take heed TTC). I know a lot of people don't have the option to drive. If I'm going to pay $6 for a roundtrip ride on the TTC where I end up waiting 30 minutes for a streetcar on Queen Street, though, I might as well drive and pay $6 to park my warm car in a Green P lot , and never to have to worry about waiting or being late for an appointment again. Thank you Green P! read more

Easy parking, safe for overnight. Plenty of security always walking around checking on things. Was here for work and left my car in there for a week. It was super cheap as well compared to other downtown options. read more

Hmm..didn't know there was an actual review listing for Green P. What I like about Green P: -Their app. It's handy to find parking spots and it gives you a good summary of how many spots are in that specific lot. That's handy for me deciding whether to drive downtown or take the TTC. -They seem to be in well lit areas and not some sketchy areas. -Don't get me wrong, I can parallel park, but I can't back up into a spot if you're on my tail, so Green P allows me to find an actual parking lot without stress. -Their app also allows you to pay virtually instead of at a meter. What I don't like: -Some of the lots are insanely small. Like 10 spots really? Overall - Green P does a great job of helping drivers find parking and making parking more convenient for everyone. read more

Be careful of The older man that works at this parking garage... He will rip you off. Their machines were broken. I could scan my credit card to get in but not out. Later when i noticed the charge in my bank account he charged me 31 dollars when the flat rate was 25 dollars and he even showed me a receipt for the the charge that he fished out of the garbage bin when i asked. read more

I am just a regular tourist, from the San Francisco area, and very unfamiliar with Toronto. I called GreenP to inquire about parking facilities close to the Greyhound Bus station, and spoke to a gentleman named Adrian Fung. Mr. Fung could not have been more helpful! Handled a bazillion of my questions with patience and grace, and offered parking rate information and suggestions as to where I might have the best chance of getting a long-term parking space during our trip to Buffalo. Just thought I'd mention a "job well done" as most people might not have the time to recognize such excellent customer service! I hope that Mr. Fung is on the "fast track" to management at GreenP!! read more

Usually have better rates than private garages. The app is super simple to use.

Green P used to be helpful and lower than most lots in Toronto- I thought the city was trying to be "reasonable" for the "people." It was whenever I had a workshop or something to go to. Much to my surprise this time, downtown Eaton Centre one gave me a nice $25.00 bill after half a day on the weekend. Now the local lots seems to be better. I had researched the day before to go to a Green P and much to my surprise- they have gone the way of greed. They already must be making a fortune and now they just have to make a little more off the backs of us. Well forget it- I'm going somewhere else next time. read more

The Greenp App is awesome. It lets you know before your time has expired. You can also park before the parking charges start and then start paying from the time the meter is enforced. I'm really just commenting on the app. To be a parking enforcement officer you have to be born evil or have had head trauma. They seem to get off on catching people. People who know that they are doing wrong but are too busy working to pay off their freaking parking tickets. They give you a smile as though they are satisfied. I have never protested a ticket so there is no need to be a jerk. But if you are born evil.... read more

My wife pays for monthly parking at a Green P location close to the subway lines, last year her daughter had some major Mental health issues, where my wife had to take a few Months off, Income loss from not working, Green P in order to keep her monthly spot charged her 3 months of parking, $65 a month when she didn't use it as they said if you want to keep your monthly spot you have to pay it if you don't you MAY loose it to another so she did pay and we are out $195.I just feel by doing that they hold you ransom. I understand they have to run a business but come on, seems like a bit of a scam to me. read more
