Renters Remorse. On…read moremy move in day I reached out during business hours with questions. I followed the directions in the welcome email. The main number for the manager was a fax. The automated system prompts say invalid when pressed. The maintenance number tried to help but is a 3rd party and advised Remmington does not accept Messages from their systems and they have no way of contacting them for anything time sensitive. I left 2 messages on voice mail for building managers. I found the numbers on the main site. I responded to the email. I then followed up with the after hours contacts. 3 days have gone by and not a single person has contacted me with any explanation. There have been no mass emails with corrections for contacts. It's a shame. The building and area are nice. Everyone I spoke too said this is what to expect. Two I met were in the process of moving out because of it. One I met said the only way he has been able to get a response is to not pay rent And when they call hold it hostage until they fix your issues. Very disappointed.

The apartments are professionally managed by MJ Peterson. They are currently being renovated when people move out and being fitted with new plumbing and fresh paint and fixtures. I opted for a 1-bedroom garden level apartment but the two main levels have balconies. The rental m prices increase on each floor. I am paying $850 for my apartment and it includes everything except electric and internet services. The internet is through Verizon FIOS and because cable is one of the amenities provided, the internet is discounted as a bundle. The outsides of each building are being fixed currently. The inside of the apartments are clean and well-maintained. The apartments are cute inside. Some have a breakfast bar and some have a double galley kitchen. Each kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher and a modern stove and fridge. The bathroom is equipped with a vanity and there is a walk in closet. In addition, there is tons of storage. There's tons of cabinet space in the kitchen. There are two closets in my apartment in addition to my walk-in closet. So far there have been no gripes about this place but I'll be sure to update if there are any.

The maintenance team are agile, respectful, and always willing to help. Those are the positives. Unfortunately the negatives caused me to move out. It started with the unkept, dirty, and outdated entrances. On a regular basis are dirty, disheveled, and at times will have cockroaches that came over from the restaurants. Next you have the mailrooms are not in a private area, they are right at walk in; where people can come and go as they please which can cause packages to go missing. In the same has random shopping carts management decided are a better option than premium, rolling racks to match the luxury title on the property; even when asked to upgrade. Third, the smells. The regular smell of marijuana coming from other residence that linger into yours, which is against contract. The cockroaches that made an appearance on the property more than once in apartments and mailrooms. Forth, leaking walls in the bathroom(s). Coming from the ceiling and walls that we assumed to come from incorrect paint on the walls when humid and roof leaks. Fifth, pricing. For nearly $2k a month for a 1br, there are no added amenities besides the sterile roof on one of the properties. There is no gym there is no wreck room. There is not even a doorman to make sure that your packages are safe and protected. Not to forget to mention it is near a highly trafficked area of the hotel, restaurants, and UB.

You probably wouldn't live here if you are being cost-conscious because they are expensive but they seem to be well-managed and they seem to be pretty fancy and if you're going to have to move up to Amherst having lived in New York City then you're going to need a nice place to stay in all the time because it's so damn cold for a hundred and twelve months a year and that's exactly where these apartments come in handy. Plus you're in the same exact Plaza as China Taste which is one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants you may ever try. And the reason I know these apartments inside and out is because (a) my current side b lives in these (or one of them I should say, but the most commonly visited one), and (b) Barbie and I paid her rent for her 2 months ago because Mummy and Daddy were having a falling out with her. Don't worry she's already in her 20s it's nothing creepy. (She's been in her 20s for all of 7 months). Anyway the apartments look as lovely on the inside as they do on the outside and yes, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for in this case. Just sometimes, the halls smell of Weed though. Should not be allowed.

Terrible community. They overcharge poor college students. The buildings are full of roaches…read morebtw...so if you wanna live here have fun. They enter your unit without warning, NEVER PLOW THE PARKING LOT IN THE WINTER. But don't worry they'll still charge you the 20$ parking fee even, if the parking lot is completely full of snow. When I moved in the unit was full of mold in the shower, and they refused to clean it. Also, when you move out you can get charged if your roommates trash the place after you leave, even if you hand in the keys and have photographic proof. This place is a scam DON'T FALL FOR IT PLEASE.

It is convenient, seems safe, they stay on top of spraying/bugs etc. They always notify before entering. Some of the baseboards and corners have seen better days, but for the most part the unit was comfortable and we kept it clean year over year. Any issues with broken anything - put in an online service order and they fixed within one day. He is choosing to now move into a studio for Masters degree. Hoping the great experience continues!

After moving out, we were charged over $2,400 in fees, with very limited explanation and minimal documentation. We've since filed a case with small claims court. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend future tenants document everything thoroughly and be cautious about deposit handling. I would not rent from them again.

I would advise no one live here. It isn't cheap, they'll just charge you for random things without even letting you know. If you need something fixed, good luck. If you are promised something, ask to have it in writing (which we did, and they said NO! Should have been a red flag but we already signed the lease) Of all the places I've lived and landlords we've had, they are the worst, by far. It is not "normal" like they portray. There are others in the area that I would recommend over these people.

The previous tenant of our apartment actually got out of her lease because the apartment was UNLIVABLE. Biggest problem: black mold. Building inspectors came while they were living here and demanded the walls be REPLACED before anyone new moved in. When we moved in, the decaying walls had NOT been replaced, but simply PAINTED OVER. On top of that, they did a HORRIBLE job cleaning and getting the apartment ready for us. They did replace the rug, but didn't bother to clean the floor under before putting the new one down. No fun stepping on unknown objects still under the hard office rug. They left a bunch of garbage in the cabinets from the previous renters in the kitchen as well. Dishwashers ARE included, but we never got one. And finally, they destroy your personal property, especially if it's outside, instead of doing the RIGHT thing, and at least knocking on your door if there's a need to move it. I'm reviewing this on a few sites.... best to warn as many people as possible.

No one at Olmsted Center seems to give a shit that disabled people are living in sub-standard conditions due to their neglect and inability to keep staff. Have heard they also treat their employees like shit so no surprise there. Shitty situation all around. Would not send my dog to live there.
