We feel that TLE has created a community of parents, The "TLE family," and an environment of care and learning that has been exemplary for my son. He is almost reading as he leaves pre-K and has been well prepared for kindergarten. We made lifelong friends during our time here and always felt partnership with the teachers and administration whenever something came up. Covid was a very difficult time, but we got through it and TLE did an amazing job at keeping the children safe, communicating with the parents, and creating an environment of learning even during a pandemic. I highly recommend this daycare and school. They are amazing and we miss them already!

Shortly after, this person had to leave and we were in need of daycare that would offer care and education for our daughter (who was 2 at the time) that kept up the momentum for how much and quickly our daughter was learning. We eventually came to find TLE in Riverdale, and were so pleased with the initial impression. Through time, our daughter demonstrated continuous learning (started in daycare knowing numbers, letters, shapes, and colors, and now expanded number counting to 30, is able to list colors in Spanish, and always catches her mother and myself by surprise when she demonstrates her growing knowledge). Also, the way that this facility has managed safety and care during the heaviest parts of the COVID pandemic solidified to our family that we had chosen well. Since both her mother and I are considered essential workers, the fact that the daycare has remained open for a huge portion of this time (rarely did they close, but always had safety measures in place) made for a really supportive service. We loved that they also had requirements for the children to wear masks as well as the staff. Overall, there isn't anything negative I can say about this particular daycare. We moved away and had to select a new daycare, but I cannot emphasize enough how positive our experience has been with this facility. We will miss Surbhi, Teresa and all the lovely staff at this location dearly.

My two older children went to Weekday several years ago and it was a great experience for us. Naturally, when it was time for my youngest to go, I chose Weekday. The first few years were great! She enjoyed the school and we were very happy with her progress. When she got older and was eligible for the Senior Pre-K program, I looked into it. At first, I was very impressed with the STEM curriculum, handwriting and how they made sure students were well prepared for the New Rochelle schools when they enter Kindergarten. She started the Senior Pre-K last year (2021-2022 school year). At the beginning of the year, I did not think much of it but she did not seem to really be enjoying school or getting much out of it. When I started to try to take a closer look at pick up, Open Houses and parent/teacher conferences I noticed that the teacher, Ms. L and her assistant seemed to have no classroom management or much interest at all in teaching and rather just going through the motions. They did have all the supplies to make the classroom look great and appear as though they were learning amazing subjects but she was not happy. I tried to speak to them at pick up time or whenever it was appropriate but it always appeared like they did not want to be bothered. When it was getting towards the end of school, I noticed she was very hesitant about going and was not learning much or excited about anything. I spoke with some of the other parents in the same class and they were all feeling the same way, very disappointed about this school year and the teachers performance. Now my daughter is in the New Rochelle school system and after a few months of school, I do not feel like she was prepared at all as promised. It seems that I share the same opinion as other parents of that same class who also now have their kids in the New Rochelle school. Knowing this, I would have chosen a different path for her during that school year. I do feel that the first years were worthwhile but not the Senior Pre-K program.

The Fusion teachers focus on the way your child learns in a one on one setting. I have never been prouder and have no plans on ever sending my child back to the public school system.

Our experienced teachers really knew kids' personalities, their likes an dislikes. The school is a very safe and nurturing place with talented staff (after-school program is one of the best I've seen) and rich traditions. By the way, their celebrations are simply amazing! They remain among our most precious memories from that time.

My son started going to Montessori Children's Room (MCR) at 19 months and we loved this school, and…read morehe seemed to as well. When he was about to turn three this past September, he moved into the 3, 4 and 5 year old class. That is when they noticed he had a hard time sitting still and focusing. He was about to age out of EI (Early Intervention) and start CPSE (Committee on Preschool Education), which would mean the therapists that were approved (Speech, SEIT and OT) could work with him in his classroom environment. However, MCR does NOT allow ANY therapists in this school to work with children who have been approved to receive it. So, we were left with no other choice, and had to scramble to find a new school in the middle of October of 2018. Not an easy task considering that most were already full by that point. Luckily we found a school that my son adores. It is a play based, loving and nurturing environment, that is so in tune with nature and outdoor play. I guess everything happens for a reason, and we were very fortunate to end up where we are now. MCR does wonderful things with the students, my son learned a lot in his time there. Their holiday show and graduation are amazing as well, along with their camp. That said, Montessori is not for every child, especially a child that requires therapy of any sort. What bothered me about our experience is how they didn't give me any feedback of his behavior in the baby class (NK) prior to moving up. We did have parent teacher conferences twice in the school year, but they never spoke about how he was disruptive, couldn't focus or sit still. Had I known this was going to be an issue, we could have looked for other schools before he started in the toddler class. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth, as we felt forced out of there in a way. In closing, I debated on whether or not to write a review about my experience with this school. However, I recently learned the same thing is happening with another child there, so I wanted to give other parents a heads up before you consider going to this school.

We set up multiple appointments around the area and visited several daycares, both expensive and lower-end daycares, and felt they were all missing something; they were either sterile or lacking a creative vibe we were looking for our child. As soon as we booked a walk-thru at Mi Escuelita, we knew it was the daycare for us. It felt like the perfect home- a space with a positive vibe, filled with art and happy children. The daycare is also in a brownstone with a beautiful private garden.
