I was a bit skeptical at first since I was expecting Andrew to teach the course, but Juan did an excellent job at giving tips to conceptualize topics. Further, Juan is a good speaker with years of knowledge working in the industry, so he will answer any questions you may have with ease. They will provide you with slides that are great for reviewing before the exam. The best thing about this course is that they will focus on topics that have higher priority and will advise on which sections to spend more of your time on. From my experience, I would recommend reading the book prior to taking the exam and taking this bootcamp course as a refresher. You should not rely solely on the bootcamp to pass the course as the CISSP has a lot of info that may require more time to study. Note, I spent 3 months of regularly studying and crammed 60+ hours the week before the exam.

You're basically paying $19,000 to learn shit you can GET PAID to learn on an actual job. I can't talk an other trades in this school but don't bother with H-VAC. Any 5 star reviews you see here are 100% fake and made by a school staff or whatever just to get you to throw 19K at them to waste your time. No you don't NEED this certification the school gives you at graduation to get a job as a helper/ apprentice. You'll get whatever licenses and certifications you need while in the field. Also for 19K the school almost never feels prepared with equipment in the class. Most of the shit is broken, like they don't even bother using YOUR money to be stocked up on what they need to have a good learning experience I DO NOT RECOMMEND H-VAC DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

I must say it was not always smooth sailing, but no place is perfect. My professors held me accountable for doing my part, they are smart, dedicated and approachable. I have put in the work that my professors set out for me, as every student should, and accomplished what I set out to do. See for yourself, and remember this is a school that is preparing you to have a professional career, think critically and make wise choices In life, if this is not your goal then, this is not the school for you. Nursing is a vocation, it's not a walk in the park. With self discipline, hard work and perseverance you can have your degree at St. Paul's School of Nursing In several months.

Recently, we received an email stating that students are not permitted to enter classrooms before the scheduled class time so that instructors can "prepare the learning environment." However, in reality, many professors arrive exactly at the start time or even after class is supposed to begin. Meanwhile, students are expected to stand in hallways or find somewhere else to go even when we arrive early after work to study. The only alternative spaces are the library or cafeteria, both of which have very limited seating. It feels unreasonable to pay out of pocket for an education and not even be allowed to sit in an empty classroom while waiting. We then received another email about elevator use, which is understandable for accessibility reasons. However, the message stated that misuse could result in parent/guardian contact. This is a school of adults, and many of us are parents ourselves. Including language like that clearly shows how little the administration thinks of its students and reinforces the feeling that we are treated like children rather than responsible adults paying for a professional education. Another major concern is the lack of respect and support from some faculty members. For example, Professor Jayne Kier is extremely unapproachable. Students feel uncomfortable asking questions because responses are often sarcastic, dismissive, or met with long, intimidating stares. There is little guidance provided, yet students are made to feel as though they are wrong for seeking help. This creates a stressful and discouraging learning environment. Lastly, it often feels like students cannot safely voice concerns. When issues are brought up to administration, they are dismissed as complaints rather than taken seriously even though many of us are committed, adult learners who care deeply about our education and future careers. It is incredibly disappointing to be treated this way as paying adult students. We invest our time, energy, and money into this program, yet we are treated as if we are receiving a free service and should simply accept it without question. The tone and treatment are not only disrespectful, they are humiliating.

They lie to your face during enrollment, hype everything up, then once you're locked in and paying? Good luck, you're on your own. This place is DISORGANIZED AS HELL. Schedules always changing, nobody knows what's going on, and every time you ask a question you get a different answer -- if anyone even answers you at all. Admin acts like helping students is a personal inconvenience. Teachers? Some don't teach for . You're basically Googling and YouTubing everything while paying THOUSANDS. Equipment is busted, outdated, or straight up missing, but they still expect top-tier results like this is MIT or something. And GOD FORBID you're in pain, stressed, or dealing with real life. They don't care. No support. No understanding. Just passive-aggressive attitudes and "figure it out" energy. This school will drain your money, your time, and your mental health. They don't care about students. They care about ATTENDANCE NUMBERS and TUITION CHECKS. That's it. If you're thinking about Lincoln Tech -- RUN. The very first day it took 3 hours to get situated into a class because the substitute (Ms. N) for the original instructor (Mr. Ortiz) was not ready for the class. She couldn't get a hold of a computer to print the materials. In those 3 hours I was still waiting at the reception area for them to find out which class I was registered to. On the very first day we were told that we would be ready for the midterms, the final and the NHA Exam by the end of the course. So of course my expectations were high. I was not on the roster until week 3. I had to write my name under everyone else and take pictures for proof just incase they tried to say I was not attending. The first 2 weeks we did not have the correct instructor. We never started the classes on time. I learned more in class about war and about the teacher and her personal problems than I did about drawing blood or placing electrodes on a patient. If we were given a test on her life we would ace it. I had to skip lunch break stay in the classroom and teach myself. I had to go home and break night going to sleep around 2-3 am teaching myself because we were not learning anything in class. We took more breaks than we read chapters. When it came to reviewing for the tests and midterms Ms. N would just go through the test itself and basically give us the answer instead of giving us material to study from. Ms. N is very knowledgeable but she is clearly not ready to be an instructor. Then finally the correct instructor came for the last 2 weeks. I was expecting for the students to get some of their money back since there was a substitute for the first 2 weeks (because to request Mr. Ortiz you have to pay extra). Ortiz is definitely a better instructor. He is detailed, organized and straight to the point. But the curriculum forces them to only teach what is going to be on their test/midterm/final. We never finished the book. We left over 3 to 4 Chapters in both the EKG and Phlebotomy books untouched. We even had to redo both the quiz and the midterm. Me teaching myself by reading the books, making notes and preparing a study guide on things I thought were going to be on the exams assured that I pass both classes without having to cheat like the majority of both classes did. This training center is good at teaching how to perform the tasks of drawing blood and placing electrodes for an ekg but not good at preparing students for the exams. Some students were not well prepared or knowledgeable and somehow managed to be certified. I finished my 4 weeks not ready for the NHA which we were told they would prepare us for. For the amount of money I had to pay for this course I can truly say it was not worth it. I really believe it's very unfair that we were not refunded some of our money back. Oh and the certificates come together as one certificate, you have to pay to have 2 individual certificates imagine how money hungry this "school" really is without providing quality. I would not recommend.

Course content felt well thought out and organized--nice mix of working on mapped exercises to work on discrete skills with some room to work on any problems or concerns or thoughts you might have brought to class. I've received a greater amount of content from some places, but the files and materials here were much more workable and better-organized. Classrooms are not glamorous by any means, but they are acceptable. I took the class in early fall, and I would caution that the room was quite warm; somewhat uncomfortably so once it hit midday, even with the giant fan going. So dress lightly. He effectively explained all material by walking us through each step and using helpful analogies for us to have a stronger understanding of when you would use each tool. As an online course he made sure everyone was engaged and was patient yet timely to reexplain something if people had questions. Garfield was kind enough to make himself available for me after the course as I was struggling with a challenging and important excel file I was working on. He let me share my screen with him and explain what I needed help with. His help with this file and the tools I gained from his instruction very likely are the reason I saved my job. Thank you NYIM and Garfield. If you are looking to increase your excel skills THIS is the company you should invest your time in.
