Her warmth, humor, and positive attitude are attractive in any profession - but especially in residential real estate. We interviewed three realtors before meeting Pam. When another realtor assessed the value of our home, he zoned in on a few flaws and suggested we list it at a low price. When Pam assessed it, she instantly recognized its unique qualities, charm and great light. I knew she would "sell it" with sincerity and grace. And she did. Pam is politely persistent and moves the ball forward, in spite of having to juggle many stakeholders and their wildly divergent personalities. Pam was always our partner, friend and confidante. She truly wanted what was best for us -- never making us feel pressured or rushed. She inherently knew how emotional it is to objectify and pack-up the home in which you raised your children. And was empathetic and understanding about the stresses that come with the quest to find your perfect next home. Pam is beautiful inside and out. She is knowledgeable and generous with her time, heart and insight. We feel so very fortunate to have found her. She was simply extraordinary and she is just getting started."

Overall, primarily influenced by the outcome of our search / purchase (the most important measure),…read morewe were very dissatisfied with the overall service from Pam and Wendy. Pam and Wendy did give us a significant amount of their time and energy over the months it took us to complete the purchase of our new home, which was greatly appreciated. That being said, due to circumstances that could and should have been avoided, we now find ourselves in a discouraging and extremely costly situation as we work through several issues that should have been identified through the home search, due diligence and inspection. We trusted the inspector Pam and Wendy recommended to us would be thorough with a critical focus on protecting us from major issues - this was clearly not the case, and the shortcomings of the inspection and related negotiations have left us having to pay tens of thousands of dollars out-of-pocket to remedy. On a related note, the 'experts' Pam and Wendy recommended during the inspection/attorney review period were equally poor, particularly a roofer that gave us an estimate for repairs that we now know was 95%+ underestimated (as proven by four subsequent estimates for the same work), and gave us a false sense of security in terms of what we had ahead of us. Maybe the most unsettling part of the experience in hindsight (which should have raised our flags in the moment) was when Pam and Wendy clearly put the best interest of the sellers ahead of ours (their client) in the context of pressuring us to sign the deal on a condensed timeline so the sellers would not have to relist the property. Finally, neither Pam nor Wendy made themselves or a legal representative available to represent us in person during our closing, and did not give us a heads up that we would be there alone, leaving us with a fairly sour taste on what should have been a celebratory day. Overall, as we continue to work through issues daily and try to recoup our losses, we do not feel our best interests were prioritized and feel the advice from Pam, Wendy and their recommended subject experts was critically underwhelming and insufficient.

While data becomes increasingly democratized and AI assistance can help, real estate is a people business and your home is more intimate than a generic market analysis. Praveen is responsive and will extract information from other agents, lenders, appraisers, etc that Claude and ChatGPT cannot get. On the buy side, Praveen had shown us many homes and talked through some "almosts" with us. He patiently listened to us and distilled our pros and cons to hone in on what we truly valued and wanted. When we found it, we were aligned and ready to make a quick, strong move in a high-demand market. On the sell side, Praveen again delivered a huge premium for us. Working with a real estate agent typically feels transactional, a short term assignment to execute a real estate related goal, with the agent's primary motivation to quickly close a deal. They were thorough and patient, looking for the best possible fit and providing detailed guidance along the way. I was also impressed by how knowledgeable this team is- they know the market incredibly well, know the pertinent city and state ordinances, and provided best practices every step of the way. Preparing for an out-of-state move and navigating everything in selling our home could have been incredibly stressful, but Dave and Amy made it all very manageable and gave me a sense of peace through it all. I met with them months in advance after being referred to them by a good friend who also sold their house in Wilmette. Dave and Amy guided me in every single step from the very beginning. They connected us with great contractors to completely renovate our master bathroom and gave advice with purging and bringing belongings to a storage unit. In preparation for the listing, they helped with every aspect, big or small, including installing new light fixtures and blinds. Amy and her team, including their assistant Tara, then did a phenomenal job with staging our house, making it look like a magazine! And Dave was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with every financial aspect, including list price, negotiating offers, and closing the deal, always making us feel like he was looking out for our best interests. Every time I called or texted them, no matter how big or small the issue, they responded right away and with such kindness, wisdom, and understanding. Even after we moved out of state, they generously picked up packages mistakenly still shipped to our old address. And at our new house, they sent a gorgeous gift box. My friend was right - "There's no question who to use as a realtor...Dave and Amy Chung." I couldn't agree more. Thank you, Dave and Amy, for everything you did to help us through it all!
