Working with Katie Skaggs on both my investment property purchase and a subsequent refinance has…read morebeen an incredible experience. As an out-of-state investor navigating a different time zone, trust was everything, and Katie delivered on every level. She walked me through complex mortgage scenarios with real clarity, was strategic in how she structured my loan, and secured terms that genuinely exceeded my expectations. The refinance process was just as smooth. What sets Katie apart is that she's consistently responsive, proactive, and on top of every detail. You can tell she's not just checking boxes. She's genuinely invested in getting the best outcome for her clients. I refer Katie to friends and family without hesitation, and she'll be my first call for every future real estate move. Highly recommend working with Katie Skaggs!

Kyle Mendenhall and the team at The Practical Mortgage Solution went above and beyond my…read moreexpectations in looking at refinance options. Early in the process, they presented a broad portfolio of default options for me, explaining which they recommended for me and why. I selected one and was happy...and then about a week later, they contacted me with more options! They had actually taken my situation into consideration, and researched other options that gave me an even better deal than the original one I had happily accepted. Talk about customer service! It was completely unexpected and not requested, but I saw Kyle time & again go the extra mile to make sure that I was happy and got a great outcome. Highly recommended!

Family Trust Federal Credit Union does not care at all about its customers. I calculated my bills…read morewrong and overdrafted by $1. Only one dollar! They charged me a $32 over draft fee and when I called they refused to refund it. They said it was able to over draft because I had over draft protection in my account. First of all, if you open an account here, they automatically give you over draft protection so I didn't know it was on my account. But what it actually means is that if there is a charge to your account that is over the amount of money you have available, they will okay the charge, but charge you $32 every time. They call it protection because they let the charge go through and avoided you a few from the other company. What? That is only so they can make money off of you themselves. Do not open an account here. And if you have one, close it. These people are only here to rip you off and make money off of you. You'd be better off stashing your money away some where at home. Worst. Bank. Ever. Also, just to add icing on the cake, their "processing and pending charges" that show up online May not be the only ones processing or pending. Sometimes they just don't show up. Not a problem they're looking to fix though. Thanks for nothing but continuous headaches Family Trust. I can't wait to close my account first thing in the morning.

I recently needed to get something notarized and was dreading the trip to my bank (one of the "big…read morebox banks") that would probably eat up hours of my day. One suggestion came up that I should try calling Schwab to see if they offer the service, and they do!! Called ahead and Cooper told me that both persons manning the desk had the ability to notarize documents, no appointments needed. Later in the day, I made my way over to Schwab. The SouthPark location is super convenient, they have their own, dedicated parking lot that was easy to get in and out of. The counter is shared with TD Ameritrade, so once you figured out which side of the main desk to go to, it was a breeze. Cooper looked like he just came back from lunch, or a break but he remembered my voice from my phone query and we got to notarizing (with valid ID and documentation of course!) There was no line and the whole thing probably took 15min (I spent more time driving to the location I bet). Of course, I was only notarizing two documents (total of 6-8 pages of information for my professional engineering license... so I'm sure you need to allot for more time if you have a lot of paperwork to go through and review). It also helps that I am a Schwab account holder. Overall it was a great experience, and I need to think of them more often when I need to do "official business things" or in need of a notary.
