It was my 1st time doing Brainspotting and it felt very vulnerable, even though we were on Zoom. I cried quite a bit as it brought up complicated emotions. Alicia was so warm and patient with me as I got comfortable with this new way of doing therapy. You can tell she really loves her work and helping people. When I expressed my feedback to her she apologized and said she was under the "impression" that we were going to continue on after the intensive during the 15 minute consultation. That completely threw me for a loop because the only conversation we had regarding the sessions were pricing. After she mentioned that, I was done. I have zero respect for her because I believe it was calculated and manipulative on her end. I believe she left us hanging intentionally so we would feel like we have to continue on with her extremely overpriced and underwhelming practice. If she were truly professional, she would've communicated efficiently and asked my husband and I directly if we were planning on continuing beyond the intensive in our first session, or at least at the beginning of our second/last one. This should have been the first clue that Psychologist Wells was up to no good. I was sitting in my car when I received a text from Cal State San Bernardino because all enrollments are linked to my cell number. As a family, we decided my daughter would do best at Cal Poly Pomona because Dr. Valamanesh, her new primary care doctor, is located there. Additionally, two close lifelong family friends live in the same city. Psychologist Deedra Wells created a San Bernardino MyCoyote account and called the university to enroll my daughter. When Deedra came to my car, she "informed me" of what she had done and was rude in her delivery. A couple of days later, I spoke to the regional manager and stated that I did not authorize Deedra to log in, much less create a university account for my daughter. Based on the severity of this situation, I will be contacting my daughter's medical insurance, San Bernardino University, and the California Board of Psychology. It is neither her duty nor the duty of High Desert Psychological to create or log in to students' university portals. This should have never happened and should not be tolerated. Update: Today, May 11, 2026 my daughter went to San Bernardino University and she was told she is not eligible for none of Cal State San Bernardino scholarships from the university because the deadline has passed. Also, it will cost her $12,000 to live on campus. Deedra withheld all this information from my daughter. At Cal Poly Pomona nearly every cost is covered based on receiving several Cal Poly Pomona Scholarship. Also, Cal State Bernardino verified information is attached to my daughter's account. At no time, I gave High Dessert consent to my FASFA information (financial information and my personal information).
