Sand St office, motivational wall decor

I finally decided to write a review based on how my experiences has been with this office. I've visited multiple locations since first signing up in 2020, and this whole experience has ranged from uncomfortable to 'okay'. First, the good things: The offices are nice, clean, and accessible. I've had good experiences with the front desk both on the phone and in-person, minus your run-of-the-mill mix-ups and such. My first talk therapist (circa 2021) helped me dive deeply into my feelings, and she made me feel safe to open up in ways that I normally don't. I felt like I had a good experience given the circumstances. I don't believe she practices with this company anymore, so whatever good she brought is gone. Now the rest: Fast forward to 2023 and I called to sign up for new more therapy, but they told me that there wasn't anything available soon. I was told to expect a call when slots were available. Okay, simple enough. Months go by. No calls, no e-mails, no follow up of any kind. I just assumed the waitlist was really long, and my past experience with that first therapist gave me lot's of reason to keep holding out. Fast forward and it's 2025. I decided that therapy really would be good for my mental health, so I call again, hoping to find out that I'm at least near the top of the waitlist. Instead, they tell me that I'm not *on* a waitlist. "Oh? You called before? Yeah I don't have you here... soo... We just updated to a new system so you probably fell through the cracks..." (Paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it.) I'm a little bothered by being ignored after I called over a year before, but mistakes happen and I chose not to follow up for all that time as well. But now I've finally gotten a new appointment for the last few months of the year and just in time for the holiday season. Unfortunately it's mostly over Zoom because I couldn't keep driving to the Rancho office and the Victorville office had no slots for in-person. Sad, but there's some convenience in that. The therapist was quite a piece of work. Through our half dozen or so sessions she made me feel ignored, gaslighted, and like I was wasting my time. At one point I asked if I could record her using Zoom's features so I could better remember what she was trying to get me to do, but she refused and seemed agitated that I even asked. For context, I wanted to speak with her about personal trauma and she kept pivoting to motivational techniques. She didn't want to talk about anything I wanted to talk about. In fact she didn't seem to want to talk about anything at all. A few times I would pause and try to get her to bring up an important topic but every conversation seemed like we were just meeting for lunch to talk about the weather. This therapist never once addressed the issues I brought up to her, she never once validated my feelings, and at least once she suggested that I was just in my head about being abused in the past. It was nauseating speaking to this person, and I genuinely think she is a danger to her patients and should not be allowed to continue working in this field. So I finally cut the rest of our sessions and took a break. That brings us to where we are now. Around February I called again to try and see if I could meet with a new talk therapist, and luckily they managed to find someone who had openings in March (the month I'm writing this!). As you might guess, that didn't go over so well either. Everything was scheduled, confirmed, all the paperwork filled out on-time. What went wrong? I have no idea. That's what finally broke this camel's back. That's why I decided to leave such a bad review. The day of the appointment I joined the Zoom meeting 10 minutes early as I usually do, put on a video and waited for the therapist. 15 minutes go by. 25 minutes. No worries, life happens. 35 minutes of waiting and... I'm removed from the Zoom call by the host, after sitting there with a "Waiting for host to start the meeting" message. Okay, that was weird. So I re-join and call the office. The front desk answers and says that she's not sure what's going on but she'll let the therapist know I'm ready and call me back. I logged into the patient portal and see that I've been marked as a "No show". It's been more than a week since that day and I'm still marked as "No show" and no one has called to explain what happened or to reschedule. So that's where I'm at now. The unprofessionalism of this place is astounding. I cannot imagine treating someone like this and being allowed to get away with it, but I guess that's just what this business is like from top to bottom. Now I've decided to write this review in the hopes that this place loses business and other people seeking behavioral health support look elsewhere; this place is not worth your time. They are either incompetent, overworked, understaffed, or a bit of everything. If you've read to the end of this, thank you.

Withdrawal symptoms
Fera F.

This place is odd. The first thing I want to say is if you charge people 50$ for being late, making me wait 57 minutes past my appointment time should get me 50$ off. I was sitting in the waiting room for 57 minutes while the receptionist called people to say they are being charged for being late. My time isn't any less valuable than yours. Dr.Mitchel is kind but he often dismisses female experiences and trauma. He recommended coming off of Zoloft and onto lexapro which has been great for me. He is definitely smart but not compassionate. He was taking me off the Zoloft far too fast (50mg every 2 weeks) and it was causing severe withdrawals. Mental breakdowns, suicidal ideation, panic attacks, headaches and nausea but he kept lowering the dose. Like I said. He made the right call but his lack of compassion shows in his methods. I get why the reviews are so mixed though. I think if you've never had a Phycaitrist he is a wonderful option. He will get you diagnosed right and on the right medication for your needs. But if you have been seeing another Phycaitrist and are thinking of transferring, don't. He will not listen to your needs or your comfort. The man doesn't understand the concept of withdrawals and will not listen to your concerns.

I had a person experience with him where i was the only one to show up during a mens group and just needed someone to vent to. During this conversation, i became sad about my place in life at the time and he asked if he could touch me and i said no but he did it anyway. That made me feel weird and then he went on to tell the entire class that i had came in distraught and suicidal with out any regard for how i might feel about it. There are others you can go to , he's not worth the trouble.

I hadn't had many interactions with them, until the last few months when I contacted them multiple times because they stopped sending me reminder texts. For months, the day before reminders weren't arriving, and it actually caused me to miss appointments. I begged them to fix it. Nothing. Finally they escalate to tech support after like 5 months of this, and they find some weird thing wrong that still hadn't been fixed. Therapist says he's changing offices, and gave me options for moving forward. I wanted to stay with him, and he told me that I could expect some contact person changes and stuff in my email. Pretty straightforward. Then they (the old office) called me today, telling me that they're calling because of my appointment next week. They inform me that Landon is no longer with them (OK), and then.... tell me they will assign me a new therapist or I can pick one from their roster. Um WHAT. As if my therapist, who I have a longstanding conversation and rapport with now, is a spare tire to be changed out at need. I'm pretty stable at the moment, but that could really rock someone's boat if they weren't prepared for it and maybe not ready to hold their ground and advocate for themselves I will have no reason to field their calls again and I'm good with that.

He also leaves the door open for further growth and healing without feeling locked into a contractual relationship. Honestly he should patent his Method for all coaches to follow!
