Well, it did happen today! For the first time in 14 years living in the Antelope Valley, I've been…read morekicked out of the office and verbally assaulted during my consultation with a nice "I'm not fucking filing your taxes, because there's too much stuff to read!". When I got to my appointment, I prepared everything down to the minimum detail for Mr. Thomas, as instructed by him last year when we first met. He clearly mentioned last year to be very specific about details for my tax return, given the complexity. Last year, he gave me the impression of being a nice and kind person, who was really happy to help. I provided my package to the front desk lady, with the recommendation not to disrupt the order when making copies. When I entered the office, my package was in a mess, and I had to explain where the essential stuff was. I had made all calculations for Mr. Thomas, he just had to plug in the numbers, and I had preserved all related activities and receipts to my 1099s to facilitate any further reading, if required. The individual literally exploded at a certain point with the above words, and kicked me out. It's funny that I was filing for a large income, and this guy just literally said it was too much work. I would have been happy to pay a great fee for his work, but he decided to show me the door instead. Well done Mr. Thomas! I'll put out great words about this place...

He's great at keeping up with all the new laws, he is funny and so intelligent especially when it comes to TAXES. Three (3) years ago he got us $14,000.00 back from the IRS because our previous CPA had made a HUGE MISTAKE ON OUR TAX RETURN. Thank God for Jim Mannie. I always dreaded doing our taxes every year but not since we have Jim now, I love Tax Season now because I know Jim does his best to get us a return. You will love using him too I guarantee it! Our experience: My wife and I had put our trust in H&R block the past several years and in 2014 another independent CPA. Recently we identified that H&R block made a serious error the year my wife and I got married by filing us under the wrong status. This drove other questions about contribution limits. Jim helped us peal back the onion, and after correcting our federal returns (3 years worth) he reevaluated our California returns and found an additional refund that almost offset the amount we owed federally. More importantly, this was our first experience with a CPA that we didn't feel like the returns were rushed. Jim took the extra time to understand our unique tax situation. Thanks again Jim. You make taxes bearable.. and that says a lot.
