Well, it did happen today! For the first time in 14 years living in the Antelope Valley, I've been…read morekicked out of the office and verbally assaulted during my consultation with a nice "I'm not fucking filing your taxes, because there's too much stuff to read!". When I got to my appointment, I prepared everything down to the minimum detail for Mr. Thomas, as instructed by him last year when we first met. He clearly mentioned last year to be very specific about details for my tax return, given the complexity. Last year, he gave me the impression of being a nice and kind person, who was really happy to help. I provided my package to the front desk lady, with the recommendation not to disrupt the order when making copies. When I entered the office, my package was in a mess, and I had to explain where the essential stuff was. I had made all calculations for Mr. Thomas, he just had to plug in the numbers, and I had preserved all related activities and receipts to my 1099s to facilitate any further reading, if required. The individual literally exploded at a certain point with the above words, and kicked me out. It's funny that I was filing for a large income, and this guy just literally said it was too much work. I would have been happy to pay a great fee for his work, but he decided to show me the door instead. Well done Mr. Thomas! I'll put out great words about this place...

Our experience: My wife and I had put our trust in H&R block the past several years and in 2014 another independent CPA. Recently we identified that H&R block made a serious error the year my wife and I got married by filing us under the wrong status. This drove other questions about contribution limits.
