I always love coming to this place cause they always have fresh fruit all around you name it for Mexican food they probably have it. And recently they have just expanded making the place a little bit bigger and adding a couple more things. The service area is always great no matters if it's at the register behind the counter or anywhere in the store. The ambience is your normal grocery store just without the music kind of quiet you hear the chefs and back talking chopping and going away but not it's one of my favorite places love this place highly recommend it. read more

We've been shopping here for years buying their fajitas de pollo and carne asada. Both grill up perfectly. We love their fresh tortillas right out of the cooler. They make the best tacos. From the panaderia we get their empanadas and have recently added the nino envuelto to our shopping bag. They are fresh and sooo good! Tonight we decided to get a tamale de puerco--and it was delicious. It reminded me of the New Mexico style tamales I grew up on. read more

Food 5/5 We visited a few times for pastries, delicious and fresh. But there's morel The Carniceria is a classical Hispanic grocery offering a wide range of fresh Meats and Tortillas, bulk flour and similar cooking and baking goods. There is also a small eat-in dining area where you can enjoy fresh Tacos and other dishes! Service 5/5 If you're not a Spanish speaker you may be a bit more challenged but everyone there is welcoming and helpful by their efforts to work around the language barrier. Kudos! Carniceria Del Rancho may look like just a Mexican butcher shop, but it's so much more. I hadn't been here in a while, and I remembered it as a tightly packed little store with narrow aisles but tons of selection. Now they've expanded into the neighboring space, and it feels open, comfortable, and even better to shop in--with an even greater variety of products. This morning I stopped by their bakery, which is a true gem. Freshly made donuts, pastries, and breads line the shelves--it's an authentic Mexican bakery at its best. The donuts are huge! My son enjoyed a chocolate donut topped with M&M's and another loaded with chocolate chips. I tried what looked like a croissant, but with a twist: stuffed with ham, cheese, and jalapeño. Absolutely divine! Last night I also had their Barbacoa burrito. It came stuffed with rice, beans, and an incredibly generous portion of flavorful barbacoa. A massive, satisfying burrito that didn't last long on my plate! Carniceria Del Rancho isn't just a butcher, it's also a bakery, deli, and grocery store with fresh produce. Authentic food, great selection, and a welcoming atmosphere--this place is definitely worth repeat visits! read more

The food is good, but the way customers are treated here is unacceptable. We experienced behavior that felt openly discriminatory and hostile. It strongly felt like we were treated differently because we appear white. The staff had no issue being rude, dismissive, and making us feel unwelcome the entire time. After seeing similar complaints, it's hard to believe this is an isolated incident. No quality of food makes up for being treated like that. read more

Definitely a hidden gem. My favorite is the ceviche $10 very well worth it lots of shrimp and just good all around. I also like to get the beans and they have carne asada you can buy by the pound that they cooked and has that bbq char flavor. I stopped there for the first time this afternoon, actually kind of fount it by accident. When I walked in I just knew it was going to be good. the line to pick out the fresh baked goods had people waiting as did the fresh meat counter. Great selection of meats and I picked out some marinated beef which I will grill tonight and make Tacos. Carniceria del Rancho is a Mexican meat market in a dying retail strip along the trail. However, this little shop is far from dying! It has a little bit of everything and is always bustling. The inside is actually quite small, and can get very cramped when it's busy. Getting around other people can be a challenge. Maybe wait until the pandemic is over before visiting in-store. There is no way on Earth to socially distance in this place! Produce is located in the back and is always of a good quality. The west wall houses the meat counter, with the pre-made foods at the south end. We frequent this area often, because their chile relleno are some of the best we've ever had! Their carne asada is good, and Mr. P enjoys the mojarra frita every now and then. They also sell combination meals ready to go. We haven't tried any of them, but there is a menu on the wall. There is a small counter with two seats where people can eat or wait. Here, you can also find a large cooler filled with fresh, hot corn tortillas. Just in front of the register, there are cases with fresh pan dulce. You grab a tray and tongs and choose what you want from the cases. Then when you pay, they bag them up for you. In between all these marvelous things, there are grocery items lining merchandise racks in the center. Just inside the front door, there is a money transfer area that can get very busy at the end of the week. Give this carniceria a try if you're in the area. They have really great stuff, and have gained our frequent business for raw and pre-made items alike. read more

Couldn't believe how racist the butcher was. I said I wanted two chickens and pointed to them. He said Polo? I said Chicken. He said Polo only angrily. I knew what was up so I said I'm "Polish". At that point he was confused and said "I don't know" in English. I then asked for four pork chops, he said Pork Chops? I said yes four. He bagged them up and they were very good, thin but good. The women there seem nice but act afraid to be cordial, maybe they'd get beat. : ) Pretty weird experience that I got a good belly laugh from because of their ignorance.
