Great service, good price, and efficient smog test. I had to get a smog check for a 2007 Honda Pilot. When I arrived, two customers were already waiting and the owner/technician greeted me cheerfully. After filling out a simple form and handing over the DMV paperwork I sat in one of the comfortable chairs. He immediately completed the first car and finished the next car and mine within 45 minutes. I liked how he revealed the results privately in his office. The man who runs this business don't want to answer my question. He fails a Visual Test on Catalytic Converter if he can't find a number on it. If a Catalytic Converter is modified prior to DMV rule change in 2013 then your car supposed to get a PASS on Catalytic Converter visual test. The owner don't want to obey the law. read more

I've been bringing my cars here for smog checks for the past 15 years. The service is always courteous, professional, and readily performed.

I understand the quirks of owning and operating a business and with that said, I needed to have my car smogged for my renewal. I was told that this place was great and has good reviews so before work on Saturday. I called to see if I needed an appointment and was told to just come in, I did and waited for 10 minutes while he carried on a heated conversation with someone on the phone about a check he wrote. I, now feeling very uncomfortable and just wanting to get out of the shop, got up to leave when he stuck his head out of his door and told me to stay, then ended his call in a very abrupt and curt fashion. Now an angry man is testing my car..... hmmm I think I will be taking my car someplace else in the future. Everybody has bad days and I understand that, when you are a business owner and you have a problem with a vendor or whatever, that has to be put aside and your customer has to be taken care of in a professional and courteous fashion. This encounter had nothing to do with me and as a result, I am not comfortable with my decision in bringing my car here and thus I am sharing my experience with you. We've been bringing all of our cars to this shop for several years in an effort to support a local, small business. We bring our Class C motorhome here as well. He won't help open the boot cover over the engine, which is essentially a Ford E350 and he won't retest for free. He isn't very nice. I don't remember the mans name.. However, they close at 6:00 PM everyday. There was a lot of traffic and I decided to go get my car smogged at last minute, I called and said I'd be there at 6:10. Well, I had to stop and put gas in. So I was there at about 6:15, by the time the test was done it was a little over 6:30. He also gave me a $10 coupon that's available online. I tipped him that $10. As long as the car meets the standard CA requirements it will pass. He does not try to fail your car, but if it doesnt pass then it needs to be fixed haha. Only had one car fail for the past 20 ive brought here. Great service and get done in a timely manner. read more

This is a fine place to get your smog check completed. It's reasonably priced, the staff is friendly, and they work pretty fast. They're also STAR-certified, and they don't offer repair services, which is a good thing: it means they have no incentive to "find" problems with your vehicle. Any complaints I have are minor (e.g. they can only test one vehicle at a time). If you live in the area, it's worth going here for your smog check. read more

I called, he quoted me the price "with $10 off". I asked if there was a wait and he said no. I show up, had to wait about 2 minutes while he cashes someone out, was out of there in 20 minutes! Easy to miss tucked behind a salon, but will be back when my next vehicle requires a smog! read more

I showed up right at 830am when the shop opened (What I was told but the sign says 8am) and the owner was very friendly. I called prior to going to the shop and was quoted $35.99 (this included a $10 discount). When I arrived I was quoted $40.91 plus $8 certificate so it ended up being $49.91. When I asked about the misquote he didn't seem to care and I ended up paying more than quoted. Yes, it is only a few more dollars but I did feel lied too. Other than that, the guy was very efficient and nice and it still was cheaper than a lot of other places. read more

The guy charges my credit card $50 and then tells me it wont pass a visual test because of the catalytic converter. He then hands me a business card for an auto shop to go and get a new catalytic converter. I m going to file a formal complaint with dmv against this business. read more

This guy is a liar. I called for a quote and was told $29.99 + cert. Got there and he starts to write it up for $40.00. I told him that I had just called and that he quoted me $29.99. He instantly got very defensive and proceeded to tell me that I called somewhere else and that he hadn't gotten any calls that day and that I must have called somewhere else. When I got home I pushed redial on my phone and sure enough guess who answers... He then told me that I misunderstood and that he actually quoted me $39.99. All BS. I know what I heard. I asked him twice because it was about $20.00 lower than most other places in the area and I wanted to be sure. I came on to Yelp and what do you know, there is someone else on here he did the same thing to. Suggest you avoid this guy. read more

My first visit was OK. But was was told We failed , i needed to retest because my car had a Obd1 cats it needed to be OBD2 cats. He said if I can prove that it was OBD2 cats he would sign it off. So I go to the muffler shop and it cost me $430 to change to OBD2. I go back to the shop and it says closed for personal reasons ( understood). Husband takes it a week later and he's extremely rude and says no you have to do the test all over and I just don't have time today to do that. So I take it today and he has the nerve to tell me that I he didn't tell me to get new cats ... I just spent $430 for no reason? He said it was up to me and he said he didn't tell me anything. Now he's calling me a liar. Well in order for it to be compliant for the visual I needed to upgrade OBD2 ... so how could I not change them out and be compliant? He was very rude not friendly at all and called me a liar. But of course he passed my car because now the car is compliant. I will never go back and will go somewhere where want my Buisness and perhaps friendly and don't call you a liar. He may want to work on his people skills. read more

The DMV required me to get a smog for registration renew on my 2001 Hyundai Elantra. I went in to this place, and the owner was fast and got me out in 20 minutes. Thank goodness my car passed the test, but I would recommend this guy regardless. Fast service, good price and good attitude. read more

i loved this place until he accused me of tampering with my fuel lines bc i had a broken windshield wiper fluid hose... he failed me despite having everything pass otherwise and after being my smog guy for over 10 years and told me to go to a mechanic... about 6 months later, i couldn't get anyone else to smog my car bc he said it had been tampered with, i was getting tickets for not having my registration taken care of (i know, my bad) and eventually had the car towed bc of that... i travel a LOT for my work and didn't have time to get it back in there or it just slipped my mind... i finally sucked it up and took it back to him after poking the broken windshield wiper hose into a random hole and it passed without any issues... lol my mechanic laughed when i told him what i was accused of... i wish it didn't cost so freaking much in the end... it was something stupid that should never have blown up to that extent... oh and of course i was about 3 days late for the free re-test... i'm just glad that headache is over... time to find a new smog guy who actually knows where fuel lines are who won't try to accuse me of a crime just bc i need a smog test... just sad bc the price is good but i'm out over $2,000 all together between tickets and having the car towed and missing a court date that happened when i was out of state... read more
