Great experiences both times I have been in to see them. And let's face it, I rarely have anything…read moregood to say about periodontal cleaning and root canals! Top notch care and they worked with me to maximize my insurance coverage to get everything done.

I came into Orchard Dental for an extraction because my dentist no longer does them due to back…read moreissues. So I chose here bc they had an opening for a same day and my husband had success for an extraction here before. I am 22 weeks pregnant and have a clearance from my pcp to do this bc the tooth is severely infected. The first red flag should have been the receptionists attitude, but I proceeded further. The next red flag should have been the hygienist taking pictures of the wrong tooth even though I had repeatedly told her #21. Then before she took the picture I had to ask for a lead shield. I reminded her that I'm 22 weeks pregnant and her response was if that will make you feel better I will get it out. When the dentist came out I explained that the original plan was to wait and do an implant after the pregnancy which requires oral surgery and I only have a clearance for an extraction. The Orchard dentist explained that we can still do the bone graft after he pulls the tooth bc if we don't do it now it won't take, I considered it but opted out since he would not call my dentist and ask him to see if that's what he wanted him to do. At this point the dentist is starting to show some frustration towards me. When it was time to numb me the shots hurt worse than I have ever felt. Absolutely excruciating. When I waived my arms for her to stop she continued anyways. I'm now covered in more tears than I've ever seen come from my eyes and shaking at this time I asked her to sit me up and wait before we did more shots hoping that the medicine would kick in more so to speak. A hygienist started the shots and I was waiting for her to come back in to finish I had questions of why that it hurt as bad as it did but the dentist came in and said come on are you ready, and I started to ask him questions, but he already had me sat back down and told me open my mouth and started sticking me all over like a pin cushion quickly and aggressively with a stabbing motion. Again the shot in certain areas hurt so badly I screamed. Now he is incredibly upset with me. Tells me I can't scream like that here he has other patients. I got up out of that chair and walked out. Now my face is in worse condition than it was when I walked in the door to Orchard. I am shaking and hysterical and can hardly drive, my face is numb but I'm in incredible pain. I drove to my dentists office and sat in the parking lot crying waiting for him to come back from lunch and explained what happened. He said there were many issues that went on. The obvious poor procedure practice when they didn't put the lead vest over my pregnant belly. The hygienist kept taking pictures of a broken root canal so if he would have pulled that it would have broken and I would have ended up in oral surgery. If I had allowed him to place a bone graft with the infection, again I would have ended up in surgery and lastly when you have an infection as bad as I did apparently the lidocaine in the shot burns badly so the severely painful shots were normal but no one warned me so that I could brace myself. I thought maybe Orchard dentist did not know but my dentist explained there was no way he didn't know. The Orchard dentist was rolling his eyes at me, kicked me out of his office and was more worried about the other patients hearing me, but did not ask me if I was okay at any time, he told me that he would not give me pain medication after he hurt me badly even though I had a clearance letter for pain medication from my pcp. He did not care to warn me about pain so that I did not stress out my unborn baby, and was going to create me bigger problems than what I had going on so that he could get paid. He has no clue what he's doing and it shows.
