I had three smaller…read moreloads 1 blacks, 1 whites, 1 colors, that's 15$ to start off. 24 min later we head over to the dryers and dump another 10$ into the dryers. Get this: .25 cents gets you 4 min! These dryers take 1 min to get up to temp so you get 3 min of heat! But this will drive you bonkers, the dryers stop and take a break every 30 seconds!!!! Yep! They stop spinning your clothes every 30 seconds and they just sit there doing nothing for a 3-5 second count! I've never ever seen that and never ever heard any specialist are laundry service ever talk about the secret benefits of paying for 4 min of dry time but getting 20 seconds of nothing and that's 20 seconds EVERY quarter! You'll need on average 10$ of quarters to dry 6 loads which is only 3 loads of laundry all split into two dryer loads in an attempt to dry the clothing for less time and money. Most dryers run the entire time you pay for and most dryers are 8 min for a quarter. This place is double the rate and here is a sign they know it's priced high, ask for quarters with a 10$ bill in your hand and the attendant will slide a cup filled with quarters across the table. Yep, they preload 10$ in quarters into little recycled laundry lids making perfect little cups to transport the 10$ it's going to cost you to dry your clothing. They are the only laundry mat in town but it's almost the same price to drive over the hill find another laundry mat, treat yourself to lunch, do your laundry and fill the gas tank and there's a good chance the sun is shining over the hill instead of being in the fog. In short : this facility is pricing itself out of existence as soon as people realize the laundry experience feels better else where.

Anyway you cut it having a cleaning business serving the public is a tough business. Clothing is personal -we get attached to items and unfortunately sometimes clothing gets ruined. No matter where you go. I look for cleanliness, on time delivery, careful handling of my items, staff attentiveness and support. The New version is spot ( no pun intended) on with the preceding requirements. Soony ( his name shortened) is very friendly and totally committed to customer satisfaction. I bring him high end clothes and don't worry. I can't say that about some other establishments. I am in his store once a week with drop offs and pick ups. He is great with all bedding. Sheets and Duvets are impossible to do at home but he has the equipment to wash and press so they look and feel brand new. In all the times we've used him we had one mishap. I brought back my wife's expensive blouse and showed him the problem that he acknowledged and Took complete financial responsibility for the item. No questions. A very classy business man. If you still haven't tried Carmel Cleaners because you remember the Old Days please give this new version a try.
