Obviously, weddings are expensive and in our initial search for a venue I was so worried about finding somewhere beautiful that was worth the money. Carmel Fields is MORE than worth every penny. Alycia gave us our first tour of the property. She was extremely thorough and professional and answered all of our questions. During our tour, she informed me that they source the vendors to ensure a stress free day/experience. It sounded too good to be true, but it wasn't. After deciding to move forward, every interaction I had with the Wegdewood team was a world class experience. I do not say that lightly. They are all patient, kind, and so helpful. They go the extra mile to ensure your expectations are met and exceeded. Alycia was our coordinator for the event. She worked so hard to ensure that everything was perfect, and it truly was. I did not worry or stress about anything leading up to or during the event. Everything was organized and Alycia handled anything that came up. She was understanding and supportive and really helped with every aspect of the event. She is so professional and experienced and helped bring our vision to life. I am so grateful for her!! The beef was quite delicious but the chicken was average. Service was very slow. Some tables did not get their food when others had already finished eating! We got married on 9/26/25 at Wedgewood Carmel, with our ceremony on the beach and our reception in the Merienda Room -- and it was truly the most perfect day! Everything ran so smoothly, and we had an absolute blast celebrating with our family and friends. We used all of Wedgewood's vendors except for the officiant (we had a family member marry us) and went outside the package for our florist, which was worth the splurge. The venue itself is breathtaking, both the beach and reception spaces are naturally beautiful, so it didn't need much beyond florals and greenery to highlight the setting. I dropped off a box of my décor on rehearsal day, and the team executed everything flawlessly. It looked like a dream! The Wedgewood team was incredible throughout the entire planning process and wedding day. Any time we had a question or concern, they were quick to help and reassure us. At one point, I was nervous about being over the guest count for our room, and they immediately called to ease my worries and offer solutions. Even when we had an unexpected issue with our dog on the wedding day, they stepped right in and helped handle it. Truly, they have your back for anything you might need. I also recommend leaning on their team for décor guidance -- they're so knowledgeable and will help you figure out what's actually worth including. Honestly, there are a million reasons why we loved working with the team here, but most of all, we want to give a huge shoutout to Anahi, Angie, Alycia, and Sophie. These ladies made our wedding day truly unforgettable, and I hope this review gives some peace of mind to any future brides and grooms considering this venue. Meeting the Coordinators From the very first time we walked into the office, we were greeted with the warmest smiles and genuine kindness. The coordinators immediately made us feel comfortable and gave us a sense of what to expect throughout the planning process. They walked us through a 70+ page binder full of timelines, pricing, vendor recommendations, and helpful prompts. A couple of weeks later, our own personalized binder arrived in the mail -- and because I had mentioned wanting a Bridgerton-themed wedding, they even included a little themed insert just for us. That small but thoughtful gesture spoke volumes. Honestly, the reason we picked Carmel Fields wasn't just the venue itself -- it was the people in that office. Leading Up to the Wedding Throughout the planning process, communication was consistent and reassuring. Each of the coordinators worked so hard to answer all of my questions. I sent tons of emails every few weeks, and they always responded promptly -- even on busy weekends with other weddings going on. Whenever I made changes or added upgrades, they stayed positive and made sure everything was captured in their notes behind the scenes. One of the biggest burdens brides feel while planning is that constant self-doubt: Am I being too much? Am I asking too many questions? Do I even know what I'm doing? But Anahi, Angie, Alycia, and Sophie never once made me feel like I was overstepping. They reminded me that no question was too small and no request was "too much." That reassurance was priceless and kept me grounded during the process. The Day Before Our rehearsal ceremony was exceptionally seamless. Sophie was already at the venue, fully prepared to walk through all of the details with our entire bridal party and families. Her calm presence made the whole process so easy, and because of that, we had zero hiccups during the actual wedding ceremony. It gave us so much confidence going into the big day. The Wedding Day I don't even know where to begin because our wedding day honestly felt magical. Every detail we had discussed and fine-tuned was executed beautifully. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food -- at least 20 people came up to us to say how amazing it was. Nobody left hungry. We also created two custom signature drinks -- passion fruit margaritas and cherry mojitos -- and they were such a hit. One of my friends admitted she had six margaritas because they were that good! One of the most thoughtful touches was how Sophie and the staff made sure we were taken care of. Since we missed cocktail hour while taking photos by the arch, they surprised us with a huge platter of appetizers and food assortments on our sweetheart table. It included everything we had selected for the day, and it meant so much to us not to miss out. We were also worried that, with a daytime wedding, people wouldn't dance. But by 2:00 PM the dance floor was packed -- parents included! Seeing everyone so full of joy made our hearts so full. And finally, I have to give a very special thank you to Sophie Tomlinson, our day-of coordinator. She was truly the calm in the storm. The only hiccup of the day was that my bridesmaids spent about 40 minutes trying to figure out how to pin my bustle (my vintage Carolina Herrera gown didn't come with a hook). I was panicking about delaying lunch for our guests, but every time Sophie checked in, she gave me the kindest smile and assured me we had plenty of time. In those moments, it felt like time slowed down -- exactly what I needed to stay grounded. Final Thoughts If I could give one piece of advice to other brides, it would be this: treat your coordinators and vendors like true partners. While the planning team was friendly, the entire experience felt like dealing with a cold, corporate machine. The constant staff turnover throughout our year-long planning process made things feel disjointed and unprofessional. Important details were repeatedly lost between staff members, and there was a clear lack of internal communication. You don't even get to work with your banquet captain ahead of time -- they're just assigned to you the day of. We had a two-day event. On the first day, the captain never even showed up. On the second day, he introduced himself and then vanished for the rest of the night. He also told the team we'd be returning the next day to pick up our items -- something we never agreed to. As a result, items were left behind, some were lost entirely, and one of our favorite pieces came back to us broken. He provided no help when it came to packing up or making sure we left with everything we brought. The bar service was a complete disaster. During a one-hour cocktail hour, the bartender disappeared for 30 minutes to get more alcohol. For a wedding of our size, the bar was severely understaffed -- guests stood in long lines, and many didn't even get a drink before being ushered to the reception. Worse still, even though we paid for a top-shelf package, they were serving bottom-shelf liquor until we called them out on it. To their credit, the event staff tried to make the venue look nice, even reusing some décor from the previous wedding that day. But no amount of effort could cover up how disorganized everything was. Even after our contract was signed, important details kept changing right up to our final 10-day meeting -- it was chaotic and unnecessarily stressful. Flexibility & Customization: Wedgewood provided the structure of an all-inclusive venue, but they also allowed us the flexibility to bring in our own touches and vendors. I worked with their florist for the larger pieces (like our split ceremony arch and upgraded centerpieces) while also bringing in my own DIY florals for things like bridesmaid bouquets and bud vases. They were accommodating when it came to letting us customize certain elements, like our bar setup and décor, which helped us make the space feel like "us." The Food: The appetizers during cocktail hour were a hit--guests really raved about them! I didn't get as much feedback about the main plated meal, but our vendors mentioned they loved it. We met with their team several times before the big day to go over every detail -- the timeline, layout, design elements, and more. They offered so many opportunities for customization, from the color of the tablecloths to the choice of cake at their vendor (where we selected our favorite flavors and design), lighting adjustments, and an extensive variety of food options. We were also able to bring in many of our own custom-made items, like signage, a memorial table, personal letters written for guests etc and Anahi, our coordinator, incorporated every piece beautifully. On the wedding day itself, Anahi was also incredibly helpful. She kept the timeline running smoothly, handled every small detail (setting up a memory table for guests who couldn't make it, helping pin my boutonnière, guiding guests to the ceremony site, adjusting lighting for our first dance, and more), and ensured that everything flowed seamlessly--even when we had to make a last-minute change from a beach ceremony to a garden setting due to unexpected weather. Our custom cocktails, made exactly to the recipes we provided, were a huge hit, and the food was excellent--we received so many compliments from our guests. The tables looked stunning and exactly how we had envisioned them. Choosing Wedgewood also helped keep our costs down without sacrificing quality. The workers are so friendly and always there when you have any questions (and I had A LOT). They were timely with their responses and never hid any costs. I just had the most AMAZING wedding on 10/10/24 at Carmel Fields by Wedgewood Weddings. This was honestly our dream venue. All of the renovations they have done made this venue so dreamy and you really can't beat the views! Our wedding coordinator was Annie, with whom we had the initial tour and 2/3 of our planning meetings. She was INCREDIBLE! We had so many friends and family raving about how amazing Annie was between the rehearsal and the wedding. She is so knowledgeable and kept everyone organized and the wedding moved along schedule. She has such a chill energy that helped calm my nerves the day of the wedding. I'm genuinely sad I'm only having one wedding because I would 100% work with her again and I'm sad we won't see her anymore! Went here for a wedding recently, great venue. Plenty of parking, only about a mile or two out of Carmel while feeling very remote. The team at Carmel Fields made planning our wedding as easy as possible, and our wedding day literally could not have gone any smoother. Wedgewood was very accommodating in any questions or changes we had leading up to the day, and both the ceremony and reception sites looked beautiful. Alycia was our on-the-day coordinator, and she was super helpful in just letting us enjoy the day rather than having to worry about organizational work. In particular, bringing us hors d'oeuvres and drinks while we were bustling the dress was very nice. We would highly recommend this venue to others! If you choose this location, we would also highly recommend going with their standard photography vendor, A Perfect Impression. It was so much less stressful to go with Carmel Fields and things went almost perfectly the day of! As someone who gets stressed out or overwhelmed easily, I appreciated the staff who made everything simple and low stress with great attitudes. Only a couple things went wrong like not everyone getting the cake or the food coming out late. But otherwise the venue, timing, decorations, were great! At the trial, we didn't like the food, but somehow on the day of it was great! Overall while it was not cheap, I don't think we could have done better for the same price point on our own, plus it would add a lot of stress. Good luck to everyone planning! read more

My husband and I got married here in July 2022, and we had a wonderful experience. We were initially hesitant to choose something that looked more "cookie cutter" for our wedding, but in all honesty, I think this was the most flexible, user friendly, transparent, and accommodating wedding option out there. The aspects that they provided were not set in stone, and we were able to bring our own ceremony setup, additional catering, wine, and any other additional details we wanted (like a popcorn bar and a kids corner with toys and coloring books). We also had the world's best coordinator, Priscilla! She made everything happen seamlessly and exactly how was wanted it for the ceremony setup. She was so knowledgeable and kind, and I attribute our wonderful day to her hard work and expertise. If you are getting stressed out by venue shopping, limited options, and pricing that seems confusing (and sometimes purposefully so) I would recommend this service and this venue. All the vendors knowing the venue, other vendors, and order of events made things go so smoothly and everything was perfect. Definitely worth it to pay for the beach ceremony . My wife and I just got married at Carmel Fields Wedgewood on 7/19. We had our first meeting with Wedgewood and Annie about a year prior when we toured the property. After seeing the beautiful property, amazing amenities, all of the options for catering to our needs and wants for our day and the just amazing personality of Annie and everyone in the office, we decided that Carmel Fields Wedgewood was the place we wanted our day to take place. Throughout the entire process of planning and leading up to our wedding day, the Wedgewood staff was so responsive, helpful, a pleasure to work with, pushed us to make decisions when needed, and made the entire experience as stress-free as planning for a wedding can be. Come the day of our wedding, holy shit, was is everything we were promised to the T!!! During our last wedding review, Wedgewood had offered to get a piece of each kind of cake and set it aside so we could take them home and try all of them. Me being a picky cake person, didn't care to try all three and instead wanted 3 pieces of the strawberry cake with strawberry mousse (BOMB btw!). Sure enough Annie and Aloha made sure that happened. Might sound like a little thing but it is just a perfect example of the services that Annie, Aloha, and the ENTIRE team at Wedgewood Carmel provided to ensure our day was exactly what we wanted and what they promised it would be. Overall, my message to people considering getting married here is, our favorite day ever would not have been what it was - if it wasn't for all of the beautiful people at Carmel Fields Wedgewood. We had our wedding in the Merienda Room at Carmel Fields on 6/8/24 and the garden arbor ceremony. My husband and I have zero bad memories or negative things to say. Anahi, who provided our tour when we first visited, did our sales intake, and was our day-of coordinator, was AMAZING. 10 out of 10, she was so on point. Huge thank you to Anahi. We live in San Francisco, and planning from out-of-town was super easy. Wedgewood sent a huge binder with checklists and notes, and we had several remote planning calls. They are all pros, we would highly recommend Wedgewood/Carmel Fields to anyone looking for an all-inclusive wedding venue in Central Coast. All the vendors were fantastic, especially CCE, the DJ and upgraded photo booth team. I'm a huge music person so wanted to make sure the music was perfect, and it absolutely was. Lupe (our DJ) was awesome! Plus the Merienda Room is gorgeous, the surrounding hills look like Switzerland. We could not have been happier with how our wedding went. Thank you again, WW! read more
