    I came to Car Max with my brother to get car. There are a few things that we really liked about his car shopping experience but a few that we didn't. The likes: 1) The sales people are not pushy, they don't try to up sale you to a bigger better more expensive vehicle for a bigger commission (I think it's a standard commission for the sale), 2) They will send you a pre approval in advance to let you know what kind of car you qualify for. 3) You can walk out with your vehicle that day. The dislikes: 1) Everything is done via computer so you view an online gallery to pick your car, you purchase it then you see your car. 2) The car buying experience here seems kind of impersonal, kind of like robots trained to do one job one way (I guess that can be taken either way). I guess it was an ok process; I'd use them again .

We made an appointment to go in and sell the car after he gave us a quote. The car we were selling had some major issues so we were a little skeptical about getting the money for it. Appointment day came and we went in and met Cody. He walked us through the steps, checked IDs and title, explained the paperwork step and step and let us know he would have the check in about 20 minutes. The entire process took less then an hour and we walked out with check in hand. No photos as it is a car dealership and you don't really need much imagination to know what it looks like

A few bucks for it wouldn't hurt. The car was located in Waxhaw and out of the 3-4 other junk car buyers, neither would pick up in Waxhaw. I called Pro Tow and Neil gave me a quote but let me know that its possibly someone closer who would give me more. I called the people he referred and was told I would have to wait until next month. Needed the car moved from my mother in laws home I called Neil back and informed him of what I had been told. He set up a date for pickup on Tuesday(the next day). Well in the process of a kitchen renovation I LOST the car keys. I called Neil back Tuesday to reschedule for Weds, giving myself more time to find the keys. After 24 hours of looking, I called Neil back to cancel. He said he would be at my mother in law home at 430 as scheduled and not to worry about the keys. **Thank You God!** Neil was there at 4:19(before I arrived), had already introduced himself to my mom and was in the process of loading the car. He was able to use his lock out kit so I could get some items out of the car. We had problems with loading the car bc of the steering wheel being locked and the wheels turned in one direction slightly. Throughout the hour ordeal, Neil remained patient and ensured me that he would be able to get it today. He had great conversations, told old stories which were pretty cool, and taught me a few things about loading and pulling a car with no keys. He gave me a fair price for the vehicle even without the keys which I was ready to say just take it. I would definitely recommend Pro Tow to anyone. And to add, he quoted more than anyone else and stuck by his quote.

On my very first interaction, I was paired with an excellent service specialist, David Owen. His courtesy, efficiency and attention to detail are unmatched. I have used other service reps at this dealership when David is on vacation, and while all the reps have been polite, David goes the extra mile. On my last visit just before the Thanksgiving holiday, I told him about everything that was happening, but I felt I was forgetting something. After picking my car up on Thanksgiving day, I realized I'd forgotten to get a state inspection. I texted David, who told me to drop by anytime within a specific window. I came first thing on a Tuesday morning on my way to work. I told David that if I needed to pick it up after work, I would. He assured me he would let the technicians know that he needed an expedited inspection and get me off to work on time. Sure enough, David delivered. The inspection was completed promptly, and I made it to work ahead of schedule. Always a great experience here with David. They have a fantastic lounge with hot and cold self-serve beverages if you ever need to wait with your vehicle. They also have an excellent shuttle service and loaner program for service on the go. Carmax (CM) offered us $3,400 but lowered it to $3,000 when I brought the car in. EchoPark (EP) offered $4,700. Mind you this is an 18 year old Honda. I'd never heard of EP, so I was skeptical that the offer would also be significantly less once I brought the car in. I texted with Chentel about the necessary paperwork and options since my MIL is in Assisted Living. I talked to Chrystal the next day and scheduled an appointment. Ben processed and evaluated the car. EP honored the Online Offer even though they found a chip in the windshield even CM hadn't seen. I called my MIL to come sign and we were in and out within an hour (I don't remember the name of the young lady who processed the paperwork, but she's learning Korean). I've bought / sold 13 BMWs in my life and the experience with EP rivaled my experience with the best BMW Dealerships. When we left about 7:00 pm on Valentine's Day, I was impressed to talk with the Sales Manager and General Manager...both had been working the Front Desk on the "Holiday." Kudos to all!
