This is a very shady dealership. They buy messed up cars, slap on some cheap makeup, and try to pass them off as good. I bought a car here a few years ago, it looked fine at first, but the problems showed up almost immediately. The very first night, the lights stopped working. The tires turned out to be cracked and worn out, the brakes were completely shot, within a few weeks the starter failed, and on top of that car was leaking oil. They pressure you to sign everything as fast as possible so you don't have time to look over the numbers. I would not recommend anybody come here to buy a car unless you are mechanically inclined and can spot the problems through all the shine. read more

We recently purchased a car from Carmate thru CarGurus. I bought a car yesterday for my kiddos. I wasn't looking to spend much as we had a VERY STRICT BUDGET to work with. Unlike all the other reviews, Nicolas was extremely nice, extremely professional, the kind of guy that would be "the cool dude at a BBQ", not a smarmy used car salesman we all think of. The car we were thinking of didn't have much gas, so he had one of the lot porters add more gas before we test drove it. Very appreciated. Now the car is a USED 2005 car. It's 2024, there's going to be issues! It's NOT brand new and we don't expect it to be. The alarm is weird, the lock actuator needs replacing there's dents and scratches in the paint. Not to mention it'll need a timing belt. ITS A 2005 USED CAR. This is to be expected. Lucky for me I'm married to a 20+ year Nissan tech. So whatever it dishes out, we can handle it. This is a perfect deal and car for a kid that just graduated high school. Our last name isn't Trump, so no one gets a brand new anything! But we were on a time crunch (my bad) and weren't planning to get a car anyways. But we did. It was very quick as we were paying in full--no financing needed. I'll update the if we have issues with receiving the title, but so far I'm really happy with the whole thing from when we walked in the door, test drove it, paid and left. I was working with a guy named Cody, and he was so professional, incredibly nice, and not at all pushy. He was very honest with each vehicle I looked at and I ended up getting a different vehicle than the one I wanted to see because of his honesty and it was even cheaper than the one I was originally looking at. He even let me know they will help with any car issues as well. Every time I had called the office and briefly dealt with someone, they were always nice and professional. The Owner is Horrible hes definitely lack Customer Service Skills. With only 2 remaining payments left after doing in-house financing The Owner had my car repossessed after being 20days late. I advised him I loss my Father and Mother so I had to cover funeral expenses out of pocket. I informed the owner I will be making a payment in full which included 2 Late Fees and the final 2 payment. Today the Owner repo my car and now adding extra charges to the balance after agreeing to accept payment on Friday. In March 2023, I purchased a used car from carmate in which i spent over 10,000$ including taxes and what not. As of June 21st 2023 the vehicle was paid off and I was contacted via text from the dealership stating that my title was going to be mailed out and that it would take between 2 weeks and 90 days to receive. On August 15th I reached out to the dealership because I still had not received my title. The dealership asked if I had a po.box listed as my address in which I let him know I did not. The sales associate then let me know that my title had been sent to an incorrect address that I did not have on file. I was contacted by a DMV rep for CarMate on August 16,2023 stating that they did send my title to the wrong address and the dealership was sending out the duplicate and were taking care of any fees for the duplicate. On August 22nd, 2023 The DMV Rep texted me to confirm my address again in which she confirmed it was being sent out. I reached out to the dealership again in Oct 2023, The financial person "Roman" stated that my title was sent to a P.O box. After explaining to him that he is saying the same thing they said in August he became very rude and started yelling and hung up the phone. Roman called me back 5-10 mins later saying that he apologizes, they did a duplicate title and the DMV was processing it so I should receive it by mid November. Here we are at the end of December and I contact the dealership one more time only to get a different Financial person to tell me the whole same story about it getting sent to the wrong address and them having to send a duplicate to the DMV and I should be receiving it in January. I told him I feel like im getting the run around and he said " F you, do whatever you need to do" and hung up in my face. This place clearly is a shady dealership that have alot of awful reviews . I bought a 2012 Kia Sedona when I got home with the car I tried to lock it and I could not lock the back tailgate on my Kia Sedona would not lock nor would the side doors but I could do those manually however it cost me $1300 to fix. I also had to wait 2 weeks to get into a dealership. They kept it for 6 days to fix. It also needed a headlight, I fixed that right after buying. Then after getting the oil, coolant, brakes all done. Not two months, not over three hundred miles, the head goes! Now I've spent almost 1,300. And now for the head another 4,300. The dealership CARMATE willfully denied know about the doorlocks which along with the headlight, shows they do NOT care of person who comes on their lot.I SUGGEST ANYONE ELSE!!! read more
