He takes his time, I felt absolutely NOTHING during the procedure-NOTHING!!!!!. I honestly didn't think the root canal would fix the issue but he really knew what he was doing! I didn't feel that he was even trying to sell me anything but do what was right for me in my situation. His "bed side manners" are very attentive/relaxing and that means a lot when this type of surgery takes place. So, the experience was great and it was of course hugely expensive (this practice is out-of-network on my insurance policy) but the end result matters. and I had almost zero pain after the Novacane wore off. How did I end up at Endodontics of Atlanta?…read more I had some dull pain on my left side of my teeth, not sure which tooth :( I texted my dentist and he asked me to just come in for him to take a look. My dentist Dr Bob Feil who has been looking after my teeth for the past 10 years and super nice of him to stay behind on a Friday night to check on my pain. There was no cavity or crack. He took an x-Ray and said he would refer me to an endodontist to have a better look and if perhaps the nerves on my #15 tooth were dying. Ugh!! I just really did not want to hear the two words : Root Canal. I called up Endodontist of Atlanta and got an appt on Feb 4. Staff was very helpful when I was making the appt. Miraculously, the pain sort of subsided as the day went by before my appt. That morning I was dropped off at the midtown 1375 Peachtree building. The front door was locked. I was like great, i hate talking via any intercom when wearing a mask. I pushed the button and a gentleman (possibly security) said 1375 something and unlocked the door. I tried to open the door, still locked. Then a guy walked past and told me try the middle door. I like oh, thank you. Me the dummy!! Upon stepping in, there was a gentleman asking if I had an appt at the Endodontics of Atlanta. I nodded, I wondered how he knew. Hmmm.. nevertheless he was very nice and said the female security would show me to the elevator. She decided to take the elevator with me to show me the direction. Super nice people! I finally found the office A-19. The cheery staff at the front desk greeted me when I opened the door. I filled up some forms but have completed majority of them prior to my appointment. Oh, he also took my temperature. The sitting/waiting area was really nice. Very classy, very relaxing. I was hoping to relax a bit but it got cut short when a female staff (Angie?) called my name. She too was very friendly even though she served me a cup of hydrogen peroxide. It was so nasty! I just had my first taste of hydrogen peroxide when I went to my dentist the day before. Ewwww!! I did just whined a little and said I had to have this two days in a row? :( Another staff took over and did a number of scans on my teeth. I was then seated in the room where I placed my coat and purse. The same staff took a few more X-rays. Shortly, Dr Jeffrey Waters came. He was very cheery, friendly and he has a very calming voice. He tried to explain and asked me a series of questions. I told him the pain kind of came and gone, though sometimes they would come visit. On a scale of 1 to 10, the dull pain would probably be a 1 or 2. He did a number of tests and in the end he concluded it was not necessary to do a root canal at this point but to monitor it. He said my current condition did not check all the boxes deemed necessary to do a root canal. I am glad though I would not have any doubt I would be in good hands when Dr. Waters would be handling the procedure. So here's a solid 5 stars from me to all the staffs and Dr. Jeffrey Waters for the superb service I received when I was there. Thank you :)

He is incredibly skilled and knows how to handle very anxious people like me. He is very warm and personal. People sometimes say that " I'd rather have a root canal then..." some awful thing. But when you are in horrible pain because you need a root canal, it is a huge relief to get numbed and get that root canal for what takes the pain away forever. You will not feel a thing once you're anesthetized. There is no better endodontic practice in the area. You cannot go wrong placing yourself and your mouth in their hands. Sometimes the body will close it up with calcification, she said. Since I never had pain or problems with the tooth after that, I didn't think any more about it. Fast forward to two weeks ago when the tooth suddenly became very hot and painful one evening. My dentist sent me to Dr. Bath for a root canal retreat. The panoramic x-ray showed the missing canal, a tiny sliver barely visible. It twisted strangely and showed partial calcification. The x-ray also showed an extensive abscess. I have excellent oral health habits, so the abscess was likely due to the missed canal. Dr. Bath retreated the other canals but initially could not find the third canal. She packed the area with medication and said, "I don't give up easily." She scheduled me for a return appointment, determined to find that canal. A week later she spent over an hour working on the tooth, but she found that canal and treated it properly. I am so relieved! Thank you, Dr. Bath! You are now my favorite endodontist!
