We celebrated my young niece's birthday at Painting with a Twist in Dallas and let me just say...we…read morehad a blast! The kids were happy, the adults were impressed, and even those of us who weren't painting had fun just being part of the energy. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. Dana, Tanishia, and our instructor Eva were warm, attentive, and full of great vibes. They created such a welcoming atmosphere that the whole event felt personal and joyful, even though there were other guests in the studio. We had our own table up front with plenty of space for cake, presents, and all the birthday extras. And the glow-in-the-dark private room? Major hit!!We sang Happy Birthday in there, and the staff even played the birthday song over the speakers...it felt like a mini concert moment for the kids. It was the kind of thoughtful touch that made the day feel extra special. I left completely inspired (particularly my inner child). I'm already plotting a return for a grown-up girls' night--but next time, we'll swap the birthday cake for cocktails and small bites. Pro Tips: 1. Check the online calendar to view upcoming paintings, pricing, and reserve your spot. 2. Parking out front and street parking in-back is limited, so consider valet next door. 3. The vibe is upbeat, fun, and easygoing: perfect for parties, dates, and hangouts. 4. Ask about the private room for special occasions if you have 8-15 people, the glow-in-the-dark setup is a total crowd-pleaser. Happy Painting :-)

She was fun, encouraging and very detailed in her explanation. I thought everyone's paintings looked so good. They have wine openers and cups for you to use!

HORRIBLE! They've gotten me addicted to a new hobby ;)…read more Staff is very knowledgeable and even more friendly. I took a pottery painting class and have every intention of booking an actual pottery class in the near future. There was another class going on at the same time as mine and it looked so fun. The workers are so sweet and accommodating. My piece turned out amazing after they provided this beginner with much needed advice!

New hobby unlocked (!!!) I had some of the most fun,…read morerelaxing, and engaging time trying pottery with the wheel for the first time a few weeks ago as I celebrated my rotation around the sun. It was a marvelous experience from start to finish, and that's all thanks to the awesome instructor, Corrie, who was super patient and oh so helpful in lending a hand (literally) to give our projects the pep they needed if they were looking a bit sad. The projects started off in the third stage (after being wedged and centered) which was a very nice of them since I heard that the first steps are annoying and time-consuming. They do offer a 4-week pottery class that meets weekly where you get to learn all the stages from start to finish, which I will absolutely sign up for once I'm in the area more consistently. We were able to mold whatever container our hearts (or clay, really) desired. I came in wanting to make a chawan (matcha bowl) and I think the shape turned out much better than anticipated, but I'm afraid it'll shrink in the kiln, oof. Their glazing and firing process will take about 3 weeks after we make our piece, so I've yet to see the final product but will cross my fingers it'll be functional for my daily matcha routine. You get to choose which glaze from a variety of options, and they'll do that step for you. But in the intensive class, you get to paint and do more detailed work, and I got to see some of the finished pieces that were on display after finishing up my piece. It's super inspiring to see the variety of pieces you can make, and I'm already dreaming of other projects to embark on~ What's even better is this studio also offers more than pottery, including painting, dyeing fabrics, sewing, and crochet courses too, all of which I lovelovelove.

Attended a yelp elite event with this group and it was so much fun! I'm not sure how the pricing…read morestructure works, or if wine and cheese is *normally* included, as these breakdowns weren't provided for us... however, it was a lot of fun either way! The experience included a topless server (male) for our party, an instructor and a nude model (also male). Something else that wasn't specified was if you had a female model if you would also have a female server? So not sure on that. I would guess she would be in a bikini or bra top as no nude photography is allowed and they walk around during the entirety of the event serving drinks and handing out pencils as needed. This would be a fun event to celebrate bachelorette parties (obviously), but you could also utilize their services for any type of gathering. I can so see a ladies night in with my friends doing this, but she also mentioned divorce parties (in which case can we have a group of male models I'll take 5 thank u), birthdays for the artsy friend, baby shower because clearly they've seen someone nude and nobody likes baby shower games (she didn't say that but I couldn't resist).... anyways, I digress. The only thing I wish I'd had more of was explanation. Some of them felt kind of rushed and I had no idea how to shade which was detrimental to my artistry (jk my hands are detrimental to my artistry more than anything else)... Would definitely do this again!

At our event, Bobby the server refilled drinks and took care of us during the drawing portion. The instructor and muse were fabulous at providing instruction and maintaining a sophisticated AND fun environment. It was fun to learn drawing techniques, but my skill was just alright! Each round went pretty quickly, so I wish I could have taken a bit more time to draw.
