His skills and attention to detail are entirely worth the drive. Its weird to thing if a barber as having attention to detail. Today, it's common for a hairdresser to pump through as many clients as possible, rushing through and doing a poor job. Brian takes his time, talks through exactly what you want, and cuts every hair with an exacting precision. Brian's the best, no two ways about it. Plus, the first time I walked in, j could see he was wearing a Wu Tang T-shirt under his white barber smock. That, and the Biggie poster in the waiting room, sealed the deal for me. Brian is super knowledgeable about hip hop and a bunch of other things and is always pleasant to talk to.

I highly recommend you make an appointment, as they have limited availability for walk-ins. I've called and they've been able to get me in with as little as 15 minutes notice. You get a great shave,…read moreyou get other manly guys that know how to cut a man's hair, and you feel like telling all your friends to come see how good you look when you get done here. I went to here looking for an old-school barber shop that knew how to trim my moustache, and couldn't have been pleased. If you have ever grown a handlebar moustache of epic proportions, you know what a decision this is. I couldn't trust any "super-cuts" beautician school to take care of this thigh-tickler. I set my appointment for 20 minutes after I called, got a trim and the shave of my life for $20, seriously got like a dozen compliments on how good my moustache looked later that day. TL;DR -If Ron Swanson lived in Lincoln, he would get his grooming done here. Enough said.

For some reason, my barber (Gary's partner) felt that buzzing my sideburns upward---creating an unsightly hair-buzzed line on the sides of my head---is a good look. (Is it 1994?) This blunder was particularly troubling because I had instructed the barber not to go too short. I asked for "a fairly light trim." I guess we were using two different dictionaries. So, now I'm impatiently waiting for everything to grow back in order to try a different place. The shave, too, left much to be desired, which is odd considering a professional was using a straight razor. I get a much better shave with my Fusion Power and plain Barbasol. If you're merely interested in moving from a Neanderthal look to something that will allow you to avoid frightening small children, well, perhaps you could worse, but if you have even a hint of a metrosexual bone in your body, and you care at all about how your hair looks, go elsewhere.
