However, I finally decided that self-trimming bleach damage just wasn't worth it. So, I made an appointment with Ashley. I was nervous at first, but she was super easy to talk to and I was feeling pretty calm in no time. I decided to cut off five inches of a layered V cut, trim my grown out bang into a short blunt crescent bang and add a facial frame. Ashley also made sure to ask lots of questions for clarification before cutting and even used a ruler to measure out the five inch chop. Although my preferred bang style can be a bit harsh she respected my preferences and did a great job getting my thick bangs super blunt which is not an easy task. Knowing that my goal was to grow it out, Ashley even readily offered up advice on how to reduce damage during the process. This was, by far, the best salon experience I have ever ever had. Ashley was kind, funny, a good listener and has some major skill with a pair of scissors. I walked in to the shop a bit scared but by the time I left Ashley had me feeling calm, confident and beautiful.

Their location is convenient, in a good part of town, and esthetically speaking has a great design. On the inside it's very open with vaulted ceilings, has plenty of natural lighting, and I felt a fresh neutral and youthful vibe. The dedicated desk person was very welcoming; she took my coat, offered me refreshments, and made me feel like I have been coming there forever. I worked with Mariah and I hope to continue being a regular client of hers. She was very receptive to what I wanted, she had great intuition, she was knowledge about the products being sold in the salon, she was able to answer all of my questions, and most importantly, the results are perfect! I had let my hair go without any cuts or trims for a year --- it was awful --- shaggy and 3/4 length. I kept it up in a ponytail for months. Zoe was incredibly flexible with scheduling and was able to book me for a mid-day appointment at the last minute. She really took her time to understand my hair texture and growth patterns, gave me great advice, and worked with me to settle on a sleek and choppy bob --- adding movement and more texture. I was so pleased with the cut that I scheduled a color later that week to do something a little edgier (I asked for purple). Stylists I've had before used to process my hair into crispy blond, whereas Zoe did her best to keep my hair healthy even through the bleaching process. It came out wonderfully --- she managed to make bright berry purple highlights look sophisticated. I'm no longer a doubter! A lot of people have done double-takes and complimented me on it. Never had this issue on the weekends usually really really good. Suggestion make them cut a few different hair cuts before hiring. Shouldn't be this complicated to fade a boys hair.
