Booked an appointment for highlights, paid beforehand and when I got there they argued with me, didn't refund me and told me I could only get a hair cut, so I left because they wouldn't give me my money back and not what I wanted. 0/10. Service quality was bad from what I got out of that. Also, the air felt musty and stuffy which was annoying with my sinuses. They were also racist. I am Muslim, they let a white guy come in 15 minutes late, I wasn't even late, and she declined me which isn't acceptable. Never again will I go there. read more

Booked an appointment online for a shellac manicure with a simple French tip design. I walked in, got check in and follow the employee back to the nail station. She showed me the colors and I show her the design with colors I want. She looks at me and just says "we don't do designs here. It should've said that online." Well it doesn't, anywhere. Had an amazing experience for both trial and day of my wedding!!! Their makeup station is small but they had the schedule set so as one girl got her hair done another got makeup. The staff did such a beautiful job especially accommodating the photographers. Make up turned out beautiful, all of the girls looked amazing. Staff was great and super friendly!!! I went to a casual bridal shower here. I can't speak for their hair or massage services, because I only had a pedicure. If you are looking for a Girls Day Out, a bridal shower, or another group thing, I would recommend it. However, if you're simply looking for a good pedicure, please see my review of "Judy's Nails". Overall, I had a lot of fun. I'm just bitter because I usually get a better pedicure for half the price. The pluses: - They were able to fit about 8 of us in the back room at the same time for mani/pedis. - They let us bring in bagels, fruit, & mimosas - Polite, friendly staff (laughed with us, took photos, felt like part of our group) The minuses: - $50 for a below-average pedicure. The polish is already coming off a few HOURS later. - Forgettable massage chairs. Comfy, but they just vibrate. I like the "kneading" kind. I know that sounds picky, but if I'm paying $50 to sit in a chair & be pampered, I like a good chair! Here's what to expect if you get a pedicure: - You'll sit in a massage spa chair in the back room & soak your feet. (I don't think they used any salts in the water) - They'll do a sugar scrub on your legs & feet (my favorite part - that felt really good!) - They'll file/cut your toenails if needed - Calf/foot massage with cream - They'll paint your toenails & give you separators & disposable sandals to dry with. read more

Yes I'm writing a review from the parking lot. Just finished a 50 minute deep tissue massage with Fernando. Ahhh-mazing! I knew within 5 minutes this was going to be a top notch massage. He's not kidding about deep tissue; he GETS AFTER IT! Adjusted when he could tell it was a wee bit much but did a great job. Offered names of physical therapist and chiro as I think I'm out of alignment a bit. Scheduled a follow up for two weeks later. Looking at this like any other health maintenance regime. Only have one body, gotta take care of it! There are lockers and robes available but I just changed in the room. Table was uber comfortable. All around great experience!! read more

I made an appointment for a massage. It got cancelled a day before because the person quit. I then scheduled a haircut during my lunch break. 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment the stylist still hadn't came and got me because he was still with his last guest. I walked out. I then scheduled a color service and showed a picture of what I wanted and got nothing near of what the picture is. We are new to the area and I decided to check this salon out. My son was the guinea pig for this trip. The salon is beautiful looking and your impression is that you will be treated well. Wrong!!!! We arrived for my sons appointment a few minutes early and we were the only ones there besides the staff. I had to wait for them to finish what they were doing on the computer before I was helped and there was 3 people behind the counter. I was ignored and not offered anything to drink such as water but she was busy chatting with her coworker. We finally go back for his appointment and the stylist barely says anything to us. After she is done we followed her to the register to pay. Again barely any words from the receptionist and zero words from the stylist. The whole experience of being in that salon was awful. I will never return there. They sell a special line of product that I use and I still wouldn't step foot in there just to buy the product. This is a very cold place. read more

Just got my hair done by Beth Bellows and I have never been so happy with a color! I immediately received so many compliments and other blondes asking who colored my hair. Beth is great, she took her time and is very knowledgable. She listened to what I wanted and executed it better than I even knew I wanted. I highly recommend to anyone of any color. Not only is Beth great, but I've heard great things about Tranquility in general. The reception gals are polite and they offer a great variety of products within a very nice atmosphere. read more

Rating Nail Salon Experience: I've been to this location for hair services several times in the past 2 years, and have been very pleased. Although I'd recommend the hair salon, I do not recommend the nail salon. Recently I decided to try out the nail salon...and was sadly disappointed. The technician, although nice enough, did a terrible job on my nails. They were trimmed back, but not filed, so all the nails had sharp edges and were uneven (even with asking her to fix them); the paint job was inconsistent and left visible streaks; the following day I was picking off cuticle skin that was still remaining. I was so disappointed that it didn't seem worth my effort to complain to anyone of influence, and didn't want to have to take any more time out of my day getting them fixed. Not at all the quality I was expecting based on my prior experience with my hair. read more

My personal experience at this salon was not one to make me come back. I was so excited to use my gift card towards something new and fun with my hair, but then it turned out to be not worth my time or money frankly. For one, my hairstylist was so rude when I came back for more hair color because it wasn't done right the first time. She was very curt and bossy towards me but then I would literally see her being so pleasant towards the regular clients. It was easy to tell she was being conversational just because she felt like she had to be. Her conversation skills were lacking and that's really too bad to hear from an 18 year old. I came here a few times when I lived in Lincoln for brazilian waxes. I highly recommend this place! The rooms were very comfortable; there was a place for me to stick my clothing and a comfortable table to lay on. There was also a sarong-type "garment" to keep me decent throughout the whole process. The esthetician gave me privacy getting undressed and getting dressed after the fact, and she was great at distracting me from the painful parts! I usually don't respond to writing reviews but after reading the last one and the Probs I have had I had to write- I have been going there for 8 years plus only for the Facials Catherine is one of the best I feel in Lincoln Nebraska she knows her stuff and can work with anyone's skin I really respect her talent and her comfortable personality she also does Pedi with a positive way, my Problem is just about every time I call to make a appointment I am put on hold and I only wait 5 min. hang up wait a couple of days and try again even there answering service is lame to leave a message , Once in there a lot of times the young girls that are behind the desk are not the most pleasant it makes me think twice where my money is going but I love Catherine.. I have tried one of there hairstylist who has been there for years and she was talking to everyone else but me even her neighbor came in and they chatted 1/2 the time I was in there about there garage sale in there neighborhood I felt very cold and taken back with my time with her. There is a lot of positive going on with Tranquility but I thought the negative should be worked out at least with what I have dealt with over the years. There are many components that can make/break a good spa. At tranquility, you don't have to fight for parking, you're greeted cordially and are offered water or coffee. I had a facial and was directed to go to an area separate from the main lobby. The facial was amazing; the esthetician asked me about my specific concerns and recommended the brightening facial which ran about $90. Overall, the experience was great, although it is pricier than other salons. However, I was relaxed and I would gladly pay extra for the experience. read more

I love this spa. The ambiance is relaxing and it's a great place to unwind. Katherine gave me a wonderful facial that included a light scalp massage. They carry Guinot skincare which is what Katherine uses for her facials. I also get eyelash extensions from Mikayla, who does a nice job at making the lashes look natural with some oomph. read more

As far as waxing goes, I have gotten my eyebrows reshaped and done by Kirsten a few times now and I am totally hooked! After moving here I have gone to a few places for my eye brows and have never been truly satisfied. After letting them grow out for a few months after plucking them myself (BIG MISTAKE!) she totally fixed them and made them even better than before! I can definently recommend her! As far as hair goes I have gotten it cut and styled a few times by a few different stylest there, the one that by far impressed me is Missy! After bringing in pictures of what I wanted she helped me with her professional opinion as what would fit my face the best. My review is two-fold: Tara. I made and appointment with Tara. I was sent a text the day before my appointment asking to confirm the appointment, which I did. I was pulling into the spa when I got a phone call from the spa stating that they were going to have to reschedule me for the following week as Tara wasn't going to have time. I proceeded to explain to the receptionist that I had scheduled family pictures that evening and that calling me 10 minutes before my appointment was unacceptable. I could here someone in the background of the phone call asking how long my hair was. To me that should not matter. I made an appointment and should receive the same service no matter the length of my hair. The receptionist told me she would call me back as they were going to see if someone would stay for me. A few minutes later I received a call back. They had found someone to stay and asked if I could come in 30 minutes later. I was not happy, but I had planned my day around this and was running out of time so I accepted. Tara's customer service was terrible: -She should have been the one to call me. I was her customer and she needed to explain to me why I was being bumped 10 minutes before my appointment. Involving a third party was unnecessary and unfair to that individual. -When I arrived at the spa she never apologized to me for the inconvenience. A sincere apology can go a long way. Kaydra. Kaydra was the name of the lady that ended up doing my hair. She was fantastic. I explained to her how excited I was to finally have photos taken with my husband and baby boy. My hair looked great for the photos and I have her to thank! She gained a customer every 6 weeks for her good deed. Thank you Kaydra, Tara could learn a lot from you and your customer service skills. My girlfriends appointment was at 10am and at 830am that morning, they called to tell me that the masseuse would not be there that day and that they were unable to fulfill the package. Most of the times I have called, I am immediately put on hold from anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes. One time I'm not sure if they forgot about me or what but it ended up going from hold to some woman's voicemail, with nothing on the recording said about the salon so I hung up and had to call back... Another thing is that in my experience and friends & relatives who have tried out Tranquility, it feels like the hairdressers are distracted and have conversations amongst each other nearly the entire time. This is especially if you are new. I would say they do a nice job with color and with hair cuts for long hair. However my relative who has short hair tried Tranquility twice, trying a different stylist each time, and neither did a very good job. She said that on the second one which was just a few days ago, the hair stylist even asked "does that look even to you?" which was a bit alarming... overall it's not worth it unless you have long hair and plenty of $$ read more
