I have been a Yakima customer since 2018 and both the food and service were exceptional. Now I do not know if ownership has changed, but within the past month their hamburgers and chicken strips have become substandard. The french fries and chicken strips are made ahead of time and just sitting there. Before the food was always made fresh when I placed my order, not now. Their chocolate milkshakes were rich and thick, but now you might as well go to the store and purchase chocolate milk. Hats off to Carl's Jr. for being the first fast food restaurant that I've come across to offer Beyond meat burgers, as well as offering any of their sandwiches with lettuce wrap instead of a bun. Not a good experience today ........ ordered "New" item Black Angus Beef & Steak with cheese . we ordered extra cheese ...cost @ $7.79 (ea). . got home and sat down to eat , first bite seemed dry so I opened the burger and this was my surprise . Pitiful amount of cheese , onions were globed onto bottom bun , no sauce, no mayo, no nothing ... just a dry burger . At $7.79 ea . this is a total scam. Easy location, plenty of parking, I've been in here many times and it's always been clean. Consistently good food. I know, it's a chain, but you want to know if it's a good one and it is. No children's play structure. No TV screens! This review will probably fade into oblivion as other, newer, reviews take it's place, but since you're here why don't you add a nice rating if you have some nice words to say (and remember what your Mom always said, "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything"). Great to see businesses thrive in Yakima. Let's support restaurants here by being Yakima-friendly. It's on a street with all the rest of the fast food in town. I got a salad - i know - a salad at fast food burger/mexican joint - but it was what i wanted. The lettuce has some wilty peices and the bottom of the romain lettuce head was also in the container - sigh. The bacon cheddar fries were super salty, the bacon wasn't fully cooked, and the cheese was only on the top - meh... Staff was pretty friendly, but when my MIL indicated the ice was empty to one staff member, they yelled that ice was needed, the gal in the back told the original worker to try the ice maker to confirm... Apparently there is a new owner and he has jacked all the prices sky high.(what the manager said today) What used to cost me $13.00 will now cost me $26.00! That's right, $26 for 2 meals..... I've come here for years. I bring my associates, my family... The air is stale and nasty. We had lots of smoke from forest fires here but the place really needs aired out now. Food is ok, the prices keep going higher and higher. The person coming and asking you how things are while you are eating is extremely annoying. The country "music" on the PA is bad enough but it keeps cutting out too. I'm outside of this restaurant right now writing this review because I just walked in waited about 5 minutes for someone to take my order at the register a man went to the register took a receipt off the machine looked at us and walked away. Instead of saying someone will be with you in a minute he just ignores us as if we were invisible. The manager looked at us as well and didn't even bother to say anything. I walked out of this place immediately if that's how you keep customers from coming in then I won't be coming back here anytime soon. The Carl's Jr has gone down in quality. Had another chicken sandwich the other night with a different bun (baked in store), and the chicken was a little dry. Still big pieces but disappointing. I had my order remade twice because they couldn't understand what I was asking. What's more frustrating, I had no apology at the end of it. They were looking at me as if I was the bitch. My order wasn't too complicated, I just have cheese because of a dairy allergy. Twice they put cheese on it. Now I understand why the ratings here are so low. read more

We had a coupon for a two-for-one Carl's Bacon Cheese Ranch Burger. Thank goodness it was 2-4-1!! Regular price is over $7.00!! The bun was toasted, but just barely. So by the time we finished, the buns were compressed flat and barbecue sauce was everywhere. Fortunately, there is a napkin dispenser on every table, because you're going to need it. Meat flavor was nonexistent and smothered by the not-very-tasty barbecue sauce. Bacon was not fully cooked and transparent in places. It seems weird to try just one item on a menu and decide to never return, but I'd much rather save some money and get a much better burger at Miner's across the street. read more

As soon as i walked in it reeked like dirty oil that hasn't been changed in years. No joke. The tables were dirty the floor looks crusty. Now lets talk about the food. COLD meat old tomato. When we travel, we like to stop at Carl's Jr.'s because we trust the quality of the food. This Carl's Jr. on first street just outside of Yakima was the cleanest, friendliest Carl's we've ever stopped at. The food was good too. Had a fish taco and a cheese quesadilla. Service was fast, the food was excellent, and everyone was very, very friendly. I would absolutely stop here again. read more

Wish we had stuck with Jack in the box. It is a shame we changed our mind and went here. You would think with this business still being relatively new in the area, they would have higher standards. We had only one car infront of us, apparantly they had a large order. Ordered two burger combos and zuchini DO NOT GET THE ZUCHINI! They were nasty and soggy, if we hadnt read the name and ate them, we would have thought they were deep fried circles of mash potatoes loaded with oil. They also made us wait behind this cars large order and then made us pull to the side and wait some more after we got our sodas. Most good places would have offered a free side for the inconvenience... not here. You would also think with such a long wait we would have fresh fries. Not a chance, most were cold and damp. Blegh. So dissappointed, not only did we not get anything for waiting 15 minutes for food, we got crap food that would have dissappointed if it was fast. The portion size of the zuchini was also a small fry box, comes to maybe 8-10 small pieces of soggy oily zuchini for almost 3 bucks. Lets not forget the price you pay for a combo and an extra buck to make it large, most of that going towards the fries. We will not being going back anytime soon. Too long? 15 minute wait in drive through, damp and cold fries, small mushy and oily zuchini. No compensation for inconvenience, $20+ cost. edit: chaning from 2 to 1 star. fresh made bun? cold and soft, burger patty? cold and hard. we will be calling corporate.
