I'm on a trip with some friends from college and I will say the best part about eating at Carl's Jr was our discussion on how absolutely disgusting and lifeless this food was. The food smelled like 23 year old barbecue sauce that was left out and farted on repeatedly by a Carl's Jr regular customer. The bathrooms were absolutely horrible, I would rather poop on the side of the road. The guy serving our food had like 1000 hickeys on his neck, and this food is not digesting well. We ordered the big Carl. The meat was gray and tasteless and had obviously been cooked ahead of time. The lettuce was limp and the burger looked as though whoever made it smashed it down with their hand and flattened it. About 20 minutes after finishing it I felt very sick. I had stomach cramps and still have some nausea 2 hours later. I definitely don't recommend the Carl's Jr. in Walsenburg Colorado. read more

The restaurant was very clean and organized. A young man behind the counter recommended a number 11, I was looking for a good chicken sandwich and they bread their chicken sandwiches by hand. I ordered a chicken sandwich with bacon, Swiss cheese and vegetables. It was as good of a chicken sandwich that I have ever eaten in any restaurant. I was with a friend, he ordered a double cheeseburger, all of our food came out, hot and delicious. I wish I had a Carl's Jr. restaurant close to my home. It was a great experience! Best crew at a fast food. I was greeted by Jon. He managed to say hello to me when I entered and gave a big smile while working. It was nice to see how he was keeping up with having a tidy floor. Being a small town, there aren't many options when we choose to eat out. This Carls Jr has become our go-to when we don't feel like cooking. the staff has always been friendly and personable. Our orders have always been accurate and the food has always been cooked to perfection. The store has always been clean and presentable. In the last month or so I've noticed a huge decline in the way the food is made. I went the other day for a cheeseburger and my beef patty was raw! It was absolutely disgusting! I went today and got a spicey chicken sandwhich with frys and sprite. My spicey chicken sandwhich was fine but had a huge chunk of Mayo on it and my sprite is flat.... it's sad. We stopped here while driving through on a road trip. I haven't been to Carl's Jr. in a long time (for a reason ) but decided to give it a try since there were not many options in the area. Coming from a big city and being pretty picky (no this, add this) I was shocked bc my order was perfect which almost never happens! The staff was pleasant, the bathrooms were clean. The staff were all wearing masks and had the tables set up for social distancing due to Covid-19 precautions. Great job to who ever is managing this restaurant! read more

My husband and I were going through this town from Pagosa Springs to Castle Rock and decided it was time to get a bite to eat. We were glad that Carl's Jr was in town as we never eat at one, cause we don't have one near Castle Rock. My husband ordered a jalapeño burger and I got the Big Carl. We didn't get meals as we knew their burgers are large. We both enjoyed our burgers very much and wish they were in our town! The staff were very friendly, we didn't have to wait long for burgers, and well definitely put this on our list of where we want to eat whenever down that way again. I'm From Texas and have seen a lot of commercials for this place so my friends and I decide to give it a try. Complete honesty the barbecue chicken sandwich tastes like the inside of a cats butthole. I've been going almost every morning for coffee for a couple of months now. Staff has always been great with me. The girls know my coffee order before I even make it. The manager of the place is just as great and friendly. The orders always come out quick and have never had a mistake. I greatly appreciate the awesome customer service I receive!! Horrible customer service! Arrived at 9:40 p.m. from a late trip (sports tournament) stopped to get dinner. Sign on the door said open until 11pm. We weren't greeted at all... had to ask if we could even order. After ordering, we were handed a "to go" order number. When I explained to Destinie we would like to eat there, she informed me that they were closing in 10 minutes, and we had to take it out of the restaurant because they locked the doors at 10pm. Several people were still ordering, and eating inside. We received our order (in a bag), my salad was wrong - when I brought it to her attention, I was told that's how they make it, to deal with it. So we proceeded to eat inside, because we had "10 more minutes" before 10pm... DESTINIE, the girl that worked there, announced again that everyone inside had to leave. We were almost finished, when she now walked over to the tables demanding that we leave. Another older gentleman was trying to finish his meal as well, and he kindly reminded her that we will all finish shortly. She threw a fit, telling her coworker that he threatened her, yelled at her (all of which was b.s.) and said she was going to call the police. Why?!?! All we wanted to do was eat. 5 minutes in peace, seriously! What's the harm in that? Now, upon exit, Destinie reeked of marijuana as she sat on the phone with someone, discussing the posted hours on the outside of the store... So, risk it as you will, but I will never eat there again. read more

It really is true, if you've been to one Carl's you been to them all. I guess that's what's comforting about it - you know exactly what it will be before going in. While traveling, sometimes it's best to simply take the obvious path and be on your way. I'll save the memorable, new and exciting meals for my actual destination. This was mostly utilitarian and based on limited choices. Carl's Jr came through with a completely predictable fast food meal. No complaints, no rave reviews either. read more

Well there's not much else in Walsenberg where you can get a quick bit to eat on your way home to Denver or down south to New Mexico. This location was clean and the service was quick. The employees all smiled and they kept the dining area free of all trash. The burgers tasted fresh - or at least freshly made! When heading to Pueblo or Denver this is where we stop to get breakfast in Walsenburg. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The restaurant is very well kept and clean. My wife had the Biscuit with Sausage & Egg Meal. The biscuit was tender inside and had a great crust on the outside. The egg was not over cooked and the sausage was juicy. The hash brown potatoes (tater tot type) were crispy and fresh. I had the Gravy and Biscuit meal. The gravy was very tasteful and the sausage pieces in it were just right. The biscuit was also tender on the inside and had a great crust. We have tried most restaurants in Walsenburg for breakfast and other than Georges on the north end of town this is the best. New $5 boxes are great. What a bargain. Red headed kid that waited on me was very polite. Restaurant was clean and employees were nice. Not a huge fast food fan but there is not alot in Walsenburg on way home to Pueblo so I was surprised that the food was fresh and not overly expensive. read more

Nov 26, 2016: 6:30 PM Ordered fries for a hungry toddler kid on drive-in. The guy told us we don't have fries. Tried to ask more and he ignored. Remained in line and asked the lady there. She willingly gave us the fries. She was surprised we had been denied fries. Very nice lady. I believe they denied us fries because of our foreign accent and assumed we were blacks.....aaaagh! read more
