Was HUNGRY and it hit the spot. Had a green chili smothered hamburger & fries, was so good I ordered a 2ed. Dinner rush started at 6pm and filled the restaurant quickly. Friendly service. The German chocolate cake looked delicious. Support your tiny local diner.

Service is very family oriented, super sweet wait staff. The inside has 7 booths & 6 tables so very homey. The food was made to order yumminess. The average plate between 10 to 12 dollars. So economical too, especially if traveling with the family.

Sadly hundreds of cars, trucks, & semi's. Drive past this little hole on the side of Interstate 25.... You must stop!!!! Salsa is to die for and so is the Mexican Hamburger ( I order smothered half & half). The service is amazing! It's the BEST!

What really blew me away about TCs was the not just friendly but just plain nice good people who work there- thank you Heather and Cindy!! The food was good diner style fare- I had the heuvos rancheros and my eggs were cooked perfectly. I ordered half green chile and 1/2 red chile. I didn't care for the red- it was more chili than chile if you get my meaning. My husband's burger was tasty and the fries were perfect crispy diner fries. My son had a pancake, to which they very generously added chocolate syrup and a bit of whipped cream. He was over the moon about it, saying it was the best pancake he'd ever tried. He's brought up TCs a few times over the past couple of days and is very much looking forward to going back. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Traveling partner spotted a full parking lot with a couple of LEO's there. Figured it had to be good. Humble establishment and we had to wait a few minutes for a table. Typical cafe decor. Waitress was quick with our drinks and food. Both of us ordered beef burritos smothered in green chili sauce. This was great! The flavor and heat was what I expected of a green chili dish in Colorado. Highly recommend! read more

This place a year ago was 5-stars. No steak for protein, only ground beef. The red and green sauce very well seasoned but the salsa was way off; too thick, more like a paste. More heat than flavor. A star deduction for selling chips and salsa for almost $6 and extremely too salty. read more

What an amazing treat on our road trip! My boyfriend and I stopped here to grab a quick bite on our drive and were so happy we did. First, thank you to Our waitress for being so kind and welcoming. (Everyone was) Second, our meals were amazing! We got the beef taco dinner with homemade salsa. I am drooling thinking about it. And my partner got the chicken enchiladas. Not only did he clean off his plate but he said they were the best enchiladas he has had in a while! Definitely a lovely hidden gem and will be hitting this place again on our way back! read more

Very friendly people! Stopped here on way from Santa Fe to Denver. Wife and I both had omelets, very tasty. Didn't have the German Chocolate cake available so can't speak to it but the Butter Pecan cake looked delish. Would recommend. It's a small roadside diner but the lot was full of cars - good sign. It did not disappoint. read more

Stopped by on the way home from Texas. An unassuming building with very good food! Home style Mexican food. Excellent green chile and pinto beans. Husband declared the smothered beef and bean burrito as "delicious." I had a Kid's meal with a choice of 2 items out of 4 - I didn't think I'd finish a regular meal - chicken enchilada and a taco with rice and beans. The guacamole was okay - did not taste homemade. Rice was okay. The chicken breast inside the enchilada was plain, not very flavorful but the green Chile was spicy and delicious. Service was friendly and fast. read more

A great family diner. The service was friendly and very helpful. Our food came out quick, hot, and it was tasty. Excellent burgers are sourced by a local butcher. Anytime we make our way through we'll be stopping in for a good meal and friendly service. read more

Quite possibly the BEST Mexican food we've ever had! The food is all made from scratch (even the chips and salsa). And even though you'll be full, you have to try the German chocolate cake. This tiny cafe will definitely be on our must-stop list the next time we're traveling on I-25! read more

Best little local serving Mexican/breakfast/burgers!!! My son and I both had Cheeseburgers that were easily a 10 in my book, and both chose fries. Those meals only 8 bucks each. My husband had the beef and bean burrito dinner w green chili. It came w pinto beans and mex rice. The pinto beans were so good they tasted like my mom made them!!! I tasted everything on his plate. He ate half of it, and then said he HAD to eat the rest. Is was too good to leave on his plate! We saw a plate of breakfast food go by and it looked delicious. The small restaurant stayed full the entire time we were there w our waitress running hard to keep customers happy. What a great surprise, and best choice we could have possibly made for lunch. Forgot to mention that the restroom was the cleanest I've seen anywhere in a long time, and I've been to lots of restaurants. read more

Heard this was good and went in for lunch. The place was packed so I asked if I could sit at the counter. Waited for a menu or something... Talked to both waitresses about the yummy cake on the counter. A table of folks left and I was asked if it was ok if a party of 2 could have the table. I said sure. They were waited on and I was still ignored. So after being there 15 minutes and not even given a menu, I left. Guess I'll never know if the food is good or not. read more

When we did need anything (to-go box) it was easy to ask for help and even with no wait staff we were checked on twice. The decor is very cool with the old gas station theme and a retro vibe. I do not get to Walsenburg often but may have to make a trip over just to stop by from time to time.

ok so my husband and I have lived out in Walsenburg co for two yrs and good hot is hard to come by, and the other places around Walsenburg act like people don't wanna go out and eat for dinner with there husband\ family so my husband was looking up places on line and found TC diner best choice we ever made we both ordered the bacon cheese burger with fries & them my husband started reading me a review, about some one else that had went there and tried there home made pecan cake everything was so good so for who ever put that you don't get enough to eat in the portions they serve is very wrong, that was the best burger I have ate in many yrs, For the little time my husband and I where sitting there the waitresses seemed very friendly, it located right off the interstate and if you stop in the small town of Walsenburg and cant find it I sure that someone will direct you the right way. read more
