I came here around 10:30 and there were 2 cones in the drive through for no reason... I know you aren't closed. I thought ok the sign says "open" so maybe dine in is available? Nope door won't budge. The worker inside saw me though and came to the door but offered nothing for an explanation just looked at me and then went to hide. Garbage customer service, at least leave a sign out for customers to see if you are not available to serve, you are supposed to be an all night location for crying out loud! Spent extra to supersize my hubbies $6 burger combo so I could steal some fries to go with my "healthy" charbroiled fish sandwich. When I got home the charbroiled turned out to be charcoal and there were NO fries to mask the nastiness. If I hadn't arrived home to a hungry new born I'd be headed back to speak my mind and get my fries. So this review will probably be updated in the next few months, once they have been opened for awhile and get the swing of things down. Carls Jr opened today 1/10/14 in the old Taco Bell spot on Patterson. It has decent parking but getting in and out can be a pain. This review is just on dining inside. Since today was the grand opening there were lots of folks going thru the drive thru and the inside wasn't to busy. But had more 'corporate folks' inside then customers. We ordered to meals for here and staff was pleasant and smiling. Inside was of course sparkly clean and the big wigs were making sure customers were enjoying the food. Now, we got our cups and number . Chose drinks and sat. We literally waited for our food for 8 minutes. Now for 'Fast Food' that was way to long of a wait. But hey, they just opened so it was understandable. Hubby ordered chicken sandwich and I tried out the new philly cheese steak burger. His was good, but mine... Let's just say I don't recommend. Food was hot when it arrived but the fries and zucchini not so much. All in all I'm happy with another choice of fast food in Riverbank, and even more so that it's 24 hours. Since jack in the box is the only other place open 24 hours. Breakfast served till 11am and next time will try the drive thru, but all in all. Carls Jr is a welcome to the City of Action! read more

They apparently have survived their growing pains. I went over to the skate park, waiting for someone who was delayed. Turned around and came here to get something to eat. I wish that they had a small cheeseburger, like sister company Hardee's has. I end up with a Famous Star combo, but it's huge when I only want something lighter. The person who took my order was friendly and handled it efficiently. I got my drink, sat down, and not long after that, a manager came out with my food. She proceeded to tidy up around the area, which is amazing to me because so many people will just walk back and never think about a mess needing to be fixed. The food was fine but it really was too much. I'm not being cheap, but I threw away too much of it, when a smaller burger would have been enough. read more

The burger had obviously been cooked a long time before it was served to me and the lettuce looked like it came from a under the seafood display at the supermarket . I never eat at Carl's Jr. The menu usually looks too greasy for me, but my friend and coworker recommended the charbroiled chicken salad. At my lunch I ordered at the counter 2 charbroiled chicken salads, two medium drinks and an order of jalapeno poppers. I also order two packets of balsamic and two packets of house dressing. I saw two salads go into a bag, I never order here so I didn't know better. I left, drove back to work and settled into lunch. What I ended up with was two side salads, no balsamic for my coworker. I am not one to demean anyone in the job they have, if they are working then good job...but really. All you had to do was listen to your customer, provide customer service to that customer and give them a correct order. None of that happened today. First off I wanna say this is the worst Carls Jr I have ever been to! Tonight we ordered 5 meals and asked for ranch. We pulled up to the window paided for our meal and then the Carls Jr employee tells me "i can only give you 1 ranch. I have to charge you $0.25 for each extra ranch". Are we on some kind of ranch shortage? I told the Carls Jr employee never mind about the extra ranch. The Carls Jr employee then opens the window and I see 1 large overstuffed bag. I asked everything is stuffed into that bag? The Carls Jr employee answers "Yes. The entire orders are in this bag. We are trying to save money by not giving out to many bags". While the Carls Jr employee is attempting to hand over the food the bag rips and EVERYTHING falls out onto the floor. I had to pull over in front while they remade our entire order and again they stuffed everything into 1 bag. I told Carls Jr employee who handed over the 2nd bag "why would you again stuff everything into 1 bag?". They again tell me about saving money and how the owner is cheap. My problem about this is the customer service is terrible the places food is overpriced tastes horrible and when I got done watching a movie today from galaxy theaters and I had to go pee and I was already driving so I stopped there and I looked at the bathroom door and it was locked! When I tryed to open it the employee yelled out "25cents!" I said "what?" "25 cents" I was extremely mad why would you charge your customers 25 cents to go to the bathroom?? The late night crew always screws up the order . It's about a 95 % chance they will get it wrong. I think drugs are involved because after I tell them what I want 5 times and they finally repeat it back to me correctly , I still get my order wrong . Worst customer service I've experienced in a while! The supervisor named Rosa is extremely rude, probably shouldn't work in a service industry with such a terrible attitude and customer service. How does a restaurant sell you burgers and not give you sauce to go with it? I bought two burgers and fries and she only gave me one bbq sauce. She wanted to charge me 25cents for any additional. And I quote "the sauces are only for the fries". Are you kidding me? The bbq sauce is only for fries?... Not to mention the burgers were overcooked. Never coming back here again! There's plenty of other restaurants. Carls Jr you need to get with the program and retrain your employees to be more friendly and accommodating. read more

Ordered a western bacon cheeseburger. They were "sold out" of onion rings but didn't bother to tell us that. They served a western bacon cheeseburger (which is expensive because of the onion rings that come on it) without onion rings. My fiancé went up there to ask them to put some on his burger. That's when they told us that they were sold out. Well thanks for the heads up! I guess they thought we were idiots and wouldn't notice. Where do i even begin? First of all let me say that i hardly ever give reviews..i dont have time to do it and i make the time if it was extremely good or in this case exremely bad. We had to repeat ourselves in the drive through a couple of times (fine i get it the speaker sucks) we get our food and it seems to be all there (i made the mistake of not taking every single item out of the bag)..we get to where we are going to eat and my moms meal is wrong which means she wont eat because shes very particular about her food..so she calls to let them know they got it wrong and as shes on the phone (which by listening to her convo it sounded like they were already giving her trouble) my dad takes a bite of his itty bitty $6 buger and finds a hair...NOW my dad wont be eating because thats freakin disgusting. Anyway the guy on the phone tells my mom he will refund the money for those 2 meals. Fine. When we go back the "manager" "shift leader" human being they left in charge (i think his name is gustavo or something) tells her he will only refund her for 2 sandwiches not 2 meals. ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME? We even took back the burger with the hair...and one of the fries. His excuse was that because we didnt bring the 2nd fries back he couldnt refund the meal. My mom was VIVID. she asked him for his boss' name and he refused to give it to her. She yelled at him and im sure used some not so nice words but at this point she was over this situation and beyond angry. After im not sure how many times of going back and forth he gave his boss' name: claudia (im reading other reviews and she has several complaints as well). As my mom is storming out she sees the corporate number and snaps a photo of it. She will be calling 1st thing monday morning. But what i still cant believe is that there are so many terrible reviews and why are these same people still there? Sounds like the need to clean house of employees/managers and get some with a better understanding of customer service. I wish there was a 0 star option. And i really hope that the owner or somebody with power over these people see this and all the other reviews on here. They are going to cost this business a ton of money in the long run.
