This is a great solid shop normally. Had a great cut from Mario for our 7yo so .. Was short side with a part on each side and combed over to the right, originally. Had lightening bolts on the sides. Awesome cut! Went back for a touch up of the same cut. Didn't get Mario, a different barber. Our fault! Ended up with a buzz cut. The barber said 1 and 4 (no clue) as a touch up should be the same cut touched up. Am I to know blade sizes? Does the barber know English or French in cutting quilts? Called to bring to Carlos' attention. Next time go to Mario or Carlos, and bring a picture and ask what length is a blade size. So Moms, Dads, Aunties and Uncles before you go know your clipper blade sizes and bring a picture. A trim or touch up is not the same as the original cut. Great shop if you get the right barber, make an appointment, and don't walk-on. Ended up with a blade size 1, 10 minute, $25 buzz cut. Front is uneven and back is not even. It's just a one time incident. Normally I would highly recommend this barber. read more

Mother of two boy's 11 & 13 here. My boy's have been getting their hair cut by Carlos for a couple years now. We ABSOLUTELY love him. Not only is he very outgoing & professional, he has an amazing eye for detail. Carlos alway's makes it a point to ask my boy's questions and go so far to remember important events in their lives. I'm extremely picky about my boy's hair. I've never once had to tell Carlos to blend or even anything out. The atmosphere is very relaxed and other customers seem to appreciate this setting as well. I usually go to Northglenn barbers, but I made the mistake of coming here because it was Sunday and Northglenn Barbers is closed on Sunday and I'm leaving town tomorrow. HUGE MISTAKE on my part. Got home and noticed my hair is way crooked. It's like an inch longer on the right than on the left. What a joke. The stylist rushed through my haircut like she was running from a fire. Totally chopped up, very sloppy, and she had the personality of a plane crash to boot. I wished I would've gotten her name, but I did not. On top of all that, their haircuts are 2 to 3 dollars more expensive than any other place around that does a way better job. What a joke. Worst place to go. Customer service sucks. If you are not Hispanic you will be discriminated against. My son and I waited 1 1/2 hours for a hair cut. I was sitting next to a gentleman who was also waiting to get his hair cut. My son and I arrived about a 1/2 hour before this gentleman. My son was called up to get his hair cut and I was next on the list. Well since the gentleman was Hispanic they called him next. I went up and said "excuse me but I believe I'm next". They told me no this gentleman had an appointment. Wrong, little did they know I had talked to this gentleman for an hour and knew he didn't have an appointment. Not only did they outright lie to me but I know I was discriminated against because I am not Hispnic. Ownership and most of their employees only give good service to Hispanic customers. Stay clear of this discriminating establishment. Oh it should be a negative star but was able to rate it that way. read more

We usually just take whom ever is free next. We drive 20 minutes to come here and are happy to do so. Friendly family owned place. Carlos Barbershop has the potential at being a good barbershop. I went at around 3:00 PM on a Monday and went in as a walk in. Prior to my visit, I called on the phone asking if they accepted walk ins. I was greeted with an angry person, and clearly did not want to be in the phone. Upon arrival, I was met with screaming kids with no parents inside to supervise them. I wrote my name down on a sign in sheet, and noticed that there were only two barbers. The floors were very dirty, and the shop was simply cluttered with all sorts of stuff. When it actually comes down to the haircut, I had the blonde female cut my hair. The hair cut was very average and was rushed. The overall quality of the cut was not up to most barbershops standards and was not worth $16.
