Raw chicken on my pollo saltado

Was craving Peruvian food. This location popped up near work. Went and it had its cliental. The man at the register stated they ran out of beef that chicken plates were available. I decided to get a pollo saltado since my go to plate is lomo saltado at all Peruvian restaurants. Waited about 30 minutes for my food. Place was understaffed, music was loud. Finally got my Togo order arrived to work to eat it and to my surprise a raw piece of chicken on my rice! RAW chicken just on top of the rice. There goes my lunch and no time to go get food elsewhere

    Silly drawing with the specials

This is as close to Peru as you can get in LA. The aguadito de pollo sent me into a ratatouille style flashback of my grandmother beating me with a vine of the pica pica plant. The fresh and crispy roll was complemented by the spicy aji verde. the lomo saltado was elegantly presented and mouthwatering delicious. The space is welcoming and the service is friendly. Will be coming back for more.

This place has a huge variety of Peruvian snacks/ treats + great food. The service was 10/10, our server was very friendly and attentive to our table. It's a casual sit in or take out location. Right when you walk in, you get to experience a bit of what Peru is about. The complementary soup and bread was delicious. I ordered the ceviche de camarón which was my first time trying it and I highly recommend. And my husband ordered the lomo saltado which is a must try as well! The plantains were so soft and fresh. The lemon pie was sweet & tangy, 8/10. And the cookies!! The cookies were delish.

food was nothing short than amazing. great food and great service. will be coming back for the lomo saltado

Oh man, so my dad is a trucker and saw this new place pop up about two months ago, we finally got a chance to visit and will probably head back again at some point! It's a small mom and pop shop that offers, like there name states, antojitos (cravings/snacks). No big meal items which my dad was hoping for, but everything we got was worth it. Everything is deliciously delightful. I don't know much about Peruvian food but what I tasted fantastic! Especially the empanadas de lomo, arroz con leche, and the choros a la Chalaca (muscles.) They had run out of tamales so we'll be trying this another day. Service was quick for the amount of food we ordered. From what I saw it was just a mom and her son working counter and cook stations. We got there a little late so they might've been getting ready to close soon. They also sell Peruvian Souvenirs like scarfs, hats, and adorable stuffed llamas! Very friendly service and delicious antojitos. Will definitely be back soon!

It was a hole in the wall and had relatively good reviews for lomo saltado so I had my hopes up thinking the food would be amazing. My chief complaint is that it took almost 30 minutes for my single order to come out because the kitchen was busy prioritizing to-go/delivery orders. Had I known this, I wouldn't have eaten inside the restaurant; I would've actually gotten it delivered. My next complaint is that no receipt was given as customer copy, and no itemized receipt when asking for tip. The total for this dish came out to almost $30 including tip, and the waitress/cashier didn't mention the lunch special at all. I brought it up to ask about it after I paid, to which she replied, "Oh, you probably don't want that cuz it's smaller. But it comes with a drink and soup." The fact that she assumed I wouldn't want the lunch special (when I'm there at lunch time) that would've been a much better deal at $17.99 and perfect portion size for me, and yet charged me for the regular dinner price was a bit presumptuous. It's also weird that they would ask for a tip (which I gave anyway) before I even received my meal. It's less about the price but the principle! But I was just hungry and needed to go to my next appointment, so I didn't argue, but again, the food took way too long to come out so I had to ask her about it after the 25 minute mark. Food came out after 30 minutes, and I had to get up and ask for the aji verde sauce when most restaurants usually serve it to you with the meal. The aji verde sauce which is really important to me to complement this dish, unfortunately missed the mark as well. I really missed Sol Inka's aji verde sauce that's well-rounded in every way. Lomo saltado should be balanced between the meat, tomatoes, onions, and fries, but it was definitely heavy on the fries with only two pieces of tomatoes. I would've preferred more meat too if it's the regular plate, but it felt like a fries dump. I wouldn't have had complaints if this were the lunch special order. Anyways, if you don't mind the headache & having to be extra proactive to get what you want, this is the place to be, but it's definitely not my cup of tea. $30 for a sub-par lomo saltado where well over half of it is fries does not sit well with me, considering I waited 30 minutes for my meal. Unfortunately, I'd just have to stick to Sol Inka for my regular Peruvian food fix, as the flavor is more robust there anyways. Oh, and Sol Inka also gives complimentary warm bread and butter, while there isn't anything like that here.

When I finally logged into Yelp to do just that, I was genuinely saddened to see that this place has since closed. It honestly broke my heart, because this was one of those dining experiences that truly stayed with me. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning--beautiful rooftop vibes, warm energy, and a space that immediately made you feel like you were about to experience something special. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention behind each bite. The Peruvian inspiration throughout the menu was both authentic and elevated, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the chef herself coming out to introduce herself. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate. You could tell she truly poured her heart into her food. She took the time to explain the inspiration behind the dishes, and it made the entire meal feel even more meaningful. That level of personal touch is rare and so appreciated. Looking back at these photos now just reminds me how special this place was. Delicious food, a talented and thoughtful chef, and an overall experience that left a lasting impression. It's such a shame this spot is no longer around, because it truly deserved all the love and recognition. If the chef ever opens another concept, I will absolutely be first in line. Thank you for such a memorable meal--this is one I won't forget.

The Yuca Fries are a must! Fried and topped with chorizo. All of the sides sounded really good, but these are the best! The thigh meat chicken skewers are perfectly sauced, and can be ordered as an appetizer to be shared by two. All of the main dishes are meant to be shared. The prices are up there for the portions, but it's all a real treat for the taste buds, and the view is great! Highly recommend.

We waited around 20-25 minutes total and the line moved pretty efficiently, plus it gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and high quality. We ordered the smoked kanpachi taco, taco de pulpo en su tinta, shrimp aguachile, ceviche mixto, sea urchin, kanpachi & uni tostada, and lenguado tostada. My absolute favorite was the sea urchin, it comes in its shell, cut in half so it feels like two small portions, and the combination of fish, uni, and the light sauce was amazing. The kanpachi & uni tostada was another standout (clearly a must if you love uni). Overall, such a great experience. Amazing fresh seafood, efficient service, and every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly. Definitely worth the visit.
