The planning process was seamless. I was so impressed with the attention to detail at the wedding venue walkthrough. We walked the entire venue, bounced ideas off each other for placement of every single item, and built a schematic. They even measured the venue to know exact placement of tables, chairs, etc. Planning the wedding was so easy/smooth thanks to the planning tools and check ins. Our rehearsal was straight to the point and very easy. We didn't need the full two hours allotted by our venue because they were on top of everything! Then came the wedding day. Our bridal salon overlooked the venue, so we were able to see the progress throughout the day. THEY WORK HARD!! and I mean, they pay attention to every single little detail to make sure the place looks beautiful and perfect. It was so impressive, we all couldn't stop talking about it. The wedding day went seamless, on time, and without a single issue. Jessica and LaShawna were there every step of the way, speaking to each other through their own personal headpieces. If anything came up or if I had any questions, they were there and ready to help where needed. My wedding wouldn't have gone as well as it did without them, I promise. I feel so grateful to have had the best team out there!! We also decided to hire the CLE House cleanup crew which was fantastic as well! All the vendors worked together seamlessly, which speaks volumes about both her planning skills and her professionalism. Janice is also extremely well-connected and has relationships with the most talented vendors--musicians, cake designers, calligraphers, florists, and more. She curated a team that worked beautifully together and truly brought the event to life. Above all, Janice is incredibly thoughtful--she thinks of everything and goes out of her way to help in any way possible. One of the things I also appreciated most was how budget-conscious Janice was--she focused on getting true value and never suggested spending money where it didn't make sense. That gave me a lot of confidence in every decision we made together. Thanks to her, we had an unforgettable celebration that felt effortless for us as hosts. As soon as we signed our contract Janice shared her list of preferred vendors and introduced us to everyone we needed to know. She seems to know everyone in Napa! She was then so helpful with any questions we had while we were booking vendors and coordinating with them over the intervening months. By the time we got to a month out from the wedding everything was pretty much already set! Janice was so incredibly helpful, super responsive, detail oriented, and extremely professional. When the wedding day came our day went off without a hitch! Before the wedding, during the communication with vendor, Lisa made several mistakes with what I communicated and cause extra wasted time for me to clarify back and forth. Eventually I jumped on the call with the vendor themselves and it was much easier to just get things aligned without Lisa in the middle. During the wedding day, she asked me if it's ok to not have the napkins folded in the way I previously asked for. I was shocked because she never said it was a problem until the day, when I'm literally stressed out and in the middle of putting on makeup. She treated it like it's not a big deal to never do the things we previously agreed on! And gave me some attitude like I'm asking a lot. During wedding dress change, she lost my makeup artist, left me with no one in the bathroom trying to change, confused and annoyed. Also, she made a few mistakes in the arrangement, missing decorations that we previously told her to. Seriously, I feel like the effort she put into my wedding is not worth the price she asked for.

I was a client of Amiee's over the past year, up until our wedding on September 20th, 2024. It's…read moredifficult to pick where to begin in writing a review for her, but I will start with that hiring Amiee was the best decision I made. When I hired Amiee in October 2023, I had only booked our venue, HMUA, and photographer. I was having a very difficult time finding a caterer. My husband and I were on a fairly tight budget. We were gifted money from both sides of our families for our wedding but would be covering a significant portion ourselves. I received a few quotes from caterers that were simply not feasible for our budget. Even ones my friends had recommended from pre covid and through 2021 had drastically increased their prices since then, and it seemed some had altogether gone out of business. At that point, I hired Amiee as I realized I needed a professional to help navigate this critical element of the wedding. We ended up hiring Amiee's catering team for our wedding, and they were our saving grace. Prior to the wedding, Amiee and her team set up a beautiful tasting for my husband and I, that felt like a romantic date night in itself. At the wedding, the food was fantastic, with my cousin exclaiming at one point during dinner "This food isn't just good for a wedding , it's GOOD GOOD!" It's been a few weeks since our wedding and my husband's boss was still talking about the food at work last week, same with my mom. I personally do not believe you will find any caterer in the Sonoma or Napa area that will provide the elevated dining experience and quality of cuisine for the affordable rate we had, and we are so grateful for that. Beyond the food, I deeply valued Amiee's breadth of wedding experience, spanning decades. A planner like Amiee has seen it all, and there is nothing she can't anticipate. She went above and beyond, helping me with some DIY tasks I simply could not complete myself due to the fact that I live 500 miles away from Sonoma. She stepped up and ensured that the day of my wedding I was not burdened with any set up tasks, and could just focus on sipping mimosas and enjoying my morning with my loved ones. Amiee also became a confidant and friend over the course of our year working together. She listened to my rants, provided wisdom, and shared many laughs. Ultimately, our wedding was everything we wanted it to be because of Amiee. We are forever grateful for the role she played during this chapter of our lives. If you hire Amiee, she will exceed your expectations. She is not only a professional, but deep down a romantic who loves love & her clients love stories. She will do whatever it takes to honor yours and ensure your wedding is everything you dreamed it would be. Thank you Amiee, we are so grateful. Cassidy and Ty

We had a few calls with different planners, yet the minute we hung up the phone with Sharon Burns of Napa Valley Custom Events, we knew it was a done deal. We called her back within minutes and basically proposed to her to be our planner! It was a decision that felt so right; it proved to be the best decision of our entire wedding planning process. Sharon's experience, expertise and outstanding reviews all speak for themselves. She knows the business. She knows all the right people. She is well respected in the California wine region. She demands excellence from all those she works with. She has the ability to know when to fully support your wants and desires, while also adding in a dose of reality to your wedding dreams. As a gay couple, one may think we posses a level of expertise on design, flowers and fashion. Sharon quickly found out this was far from reality. She filled in all of the spots where we were "weak" and supported or molded all the thoughts and wants we had in areas that were our non-negotiables. She helped us build, manage and stick to our budget throughout the 13 months we worked together leading to our wedding day. She maintained our vendor contracts, worked hard in negotiating hotel wedding blocks and even managed most payments throughout the whole process. So many of the stresses and mundane tasks of wedding planning and execution weren't even on our radar as Sharon took care of them all. We were already floored by all of her work done leading up to our wedding; then THE DAY came. Sharon delivered even more then we could have imagined! She was at our venue for well over 13 hours preparing, organizing, leading and even calming us throughout the event. We worried about nothing and got to enjoy everything. Sharon even made sure that we were eating and staying hydrated throughout the most memorable day of our lives. The day was simply perfect! So much of that joy has to do with Sharon Burns and Napa Valley Custom Events. We cannot speak highly enough about her; words do not do justice to the thanks she deserves. It's really easy to give someone 5 stars when everything goes "perfectly." But sometimes it's when…read morethings don't go exactly as expected that one finds out who really stands out, and in this case it's Erin. To give some context, we recently celebrated our son's first birthday (which is a huge event in our culture) and the initial meetings with Erin were spot on. Her ideas, taste and vision were aligned with mine and I was so excited to work with her. After our initial "idea board" meeting I couldn't stop smiling because the details she had said she would bring to the party were so cute and unique and I couldn't wait to see them brought to life on the big day. Throughout the planning process she was extremely responsive, detail oriented, kind and just awesome in all ways. We also threw her the curveball of working with the schedule of two small children with their naps and she approached it with calm and flexibility. I should also mention that I'm an extremely picky and detail oriented person and lets say I put the "A" in type A personality and am a perfectionist so my expectations are always high. Having said this, on the day of the event the party's timeline, vendors, organizational details, logistics went smoothly. However there were a couple of items that we had discussed at the initial "idea board" that didn't happen and unfortunately they were related to significant cultural and family tradition aspects of the event so suffice to say I was saddened and frankly a bit shocked on what had happened. Mind you that the guests had an awesome time and it was a magical party and no one else noticed except mama bear. Usually at this point it would go downhill with most vendors, but I'm someone who likes to ask people "what happened" when things don't go according to expectations so I contacted Erin. First off, I could tell she was deeply affected and saddened and took it to heart that the event had not met my expectations. What I found impressive was her passion and heart in this party was genuine and she took it personally that I wasn't completely happy. Additionally, at no time was she defensive or coming up with excuses. She listened and asked without prompting "what can I do" and understood where I was coming from. We ended up doing a redo of the missing elements and while not a replacement for what I had wished happened at the party, it ended up being perfect. Additionally her professional conduct, authenticity as an overall sweetheart of a person and personal investment in her events speaks volumes. So would I use Erin again? In a heartbeat yes! If it wasn't clear, she has the most amazing style and taste that really is unique and personal. My husband is the rustic, natural type and I'm the whimsical, styled, elegent type and she was able to combine both. I also know that we ALL make "boo boos" for one reason or another and sometimes things happen and I know I wouldn't want to be defined by something that didn't go quite right. I know that Erin has been in this business since 2008 and based on her other reviews and what I did experience from her she is stellar at what she does but as with all things, sometimes something just falls through the crack and in this case it was some elements from our event. And honestly, I think we were that 1 in a million and any and all future events with Erin would be pefect :) But what defines someone to me is how they react/respond when confronted with it and Erin's response couldn't have been better. So 5 truly deserved stars for Your Event by Erin.

We initially spoke with several other planners, but after our first call with Kimberly, we knew we wanted her to be the one helping us plan our event this past October in Sonoma. We insisted that Kimberly was our go-to with ASE. ASE has several levels of planning packages depending on what you are looking for. My Husband and I decided to go with the partial planning package and it was the perfect balance for us. We are from the Chicagoland area so having a planner in California where we were getting married was essential. Kimberly is also well-connected in wine country/the wedding industry and has relationships with many of the vendors who ASE has worked with over the years. This is a major perk, since she was able to point us in the direction of some of the best vendors out there! We always felt like we were in the right hands and were provided high quality recommendations by Kimberly. Throughout the past year of planning with Kimberly she was always kind and had such a positive attitude. Aside from being our wedding planner, Kimberly felt like a friend. Not only did we hear from several of our vendors how much they loved working with Kimberly and how organized she was, even several of our friends asked who she was because they noticed how on top of everything she was at the wedding. Everyone tells you how stressful wedding planning can be, especially since our entire planning process was virtual and during covid, but ours was carefree and fun! You also hear "something is going to go wrong the day of" but my husband and I can say that our day was flawless. If something did go wrong, it was nothing made known or visible to either us or any of our guests. When my Husband and I returned to our hotel room at the end of that night, Kimberly and her assistant had already returned all our signs and personal belongings to our room. They laid out my veil on the bed with our welcome sign so beautifully (see pic). Although this was a small gesture, we felt it was so thoughtful to walk back to at the end of what was already the perfect day! One final touch if you will! I have said to my husband on numerous occasions recently that I wish our wedding planning wasn't over and how I want to experience our day all over again and he agrees!
