We said was it okay to walk around and if we knew exactly what we wanted could we just pay for it. The sales associate who was at the door looked us and down and said no they would not have time. It was so upsetting to be racially profiled as a black woman yet again but this time my daughter got to witness the disrespect her mother was experiencing. My daughter was so angry and told me just go get your tote mom and don't allow the sales associate to stop you from treating yourself. I explained to my daughter it was the principle of it all to me and that the Louis Vuitton Australia store did not deserve my money because they obviously did not want or think I was a viable sale. I have purchase 4 bags from Hawaii to California to Oregon, but I guess being black in Australia I was not deemed fit to be served. Louis Vuitton do better!

I hadn't visited this store until a couple of days ago and I have to admit that I was quite impressed. The fashion is very feminine with flattering cuts and bright colours. I saw gold, tan, blue, and white dresses and skirts and I really liked the different cuts and textures that were used. Preap and Coutts is a little restrained and not so much a trendy label. What it offers is timeless pieces that are made well at an affordable price. The sales assistant wasn't very friendly, and I think that for a boutique like Preap and Coutts that is a little out of place on Gertrude Street they really need to build up a loyal clientele. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

I rang the store, they had my size, they also held the particular dress for me, and were very warm about it all. When I arrived in store - which is very easy to miss when you've never visited before - I was very pleasantly surprised by the wide range of clothing they had to offer. All of it had a lot of character, a very different feel to it. I didn't spend a lot of time there however it looked like they may of had vintage clothing as well as some current local (well Australian anyway) brands. The employee who served me was also very friendly and seemed very passionate about Australian clothing and designers. I therefore left without a second hesitation to my very poor bank account (the dress wasn't really expensive but I still couldn't afford it), and walked away very happy and satisfied indeed. I went home and re-tired the dress on, it did not fit well at all. I called the store within 24 hours of purchase and they refused a refund. I contacted the head office and they took over a week to get back to me and they still refused a refund, despite my request meeting consumer affairs guidelines and the dress in perfect condition with tags. Do not purchase from this store, horrible service for any grievances you may have.

I found it to be not that different to a normal Kate Hill store - that was on sale. Except it was more messy. The staff, of which there were three when i was in there, were far more interested in having their own conversation - than helping me - they only seemed to acknowledge my existance from an anti shop lifting standpoint (as in, we know you are there so dont steal anything) than actually helping me. I did in the end buy a purse and a handbag - but I wont be heading back to the DFO store any time soon. Expecially since we now have a store at Harbor Town in Adelaide :)

I returned them immediately and requested a refund. The online store refused and offered a credit note. I explained I requested a refund. They bluntly refused - over $260 wasted on inferior frocks.. better quality and service at Target!! Beware - shocking customer service. Spend your money elsewhere!
