Critical issues persisted after their second installation, such as: - Continual Leak Around Water Heater Vent: Despite their efforts, the persistent leak has led to consequential water damage in the surrounding area and inside of our home. - Poor Installation Around Fireplace and Electrical Pole Vents: -- --- Inadequate sealing has potential for moisture and air intrusion, demanding immediate repair to prevent further damage. - Ponding Water and Damaged Gutters: Significant ponding of water on the roof indicates improper drainage, coupled with damaged gutters and insufficient support. Craftsman Exteriors' inability to address these concerns after multiple attempts to contact them (on November 8th, 9th, 10th, 17th, 21st, 27th, 28th, and 30th, 2023) has led to unresolved issues. Their disregard for industry standards and failure to rectify issues, even after a failed city inspection, is concerning. Ultimately, you have choices - and you have every reason to expect to get what you've paid for. This ISN'T that. If this is your only option, modify the contract to partial payment and total upon SATISFACTORY COMPLETION. Otherwise Jim Muir will leave the promises in the past and you won't see him again... I had to hire another outfit to get the place presentable; Jim couldn't have cared less... Our HOA had its own approval layer on top of the city permit, and Sun Vault Roofing helped us navigate a two-week back-and-forth over approved shingle colors (side salad: ridiculous that HOAs have this kind of bureaucracy). Despite the complications, Sun Vault Roofing kept us updated through every delay and milestone without us having to chase anyone down. That alone was worth the price difference. The crew showed up on time, worked two full days, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The roof has now been through 2-3 major storms since installation, including the crazy hail in April and there is not a speck of damage. Everything looks sharp and clean. Extra things come up on the job, like broken gutters and the installation of a bathroom rooftop exhaust fan. Only $800 for the 5 different extras. The boss and owner. My back yard is on the edge of a conservancy and always mostly in shade and the ground stays soft so when a previous service had used a standing mower it left deep ruts in the yard that had to be filled. I told David this and asked not to use the standing mower but his guys used the standing mower anyway. The front of the house really cannot be done with the standing mower. David will no longer be doing anything in my yard.
