I had other inquiries regarding related issues and he helped me identify other work that should be done in conjunction with a roof replacement. I had him compete with three other companies nonetheless. He made every effort to win the contract but he wasn't pushy and only replied when I initiated contact first. I felt like I was dealing with a neighbor, not a salesperson. It was a tough decision but his personal touch closed the deal. When the day came to do the work, the crew was onsite right away and went straight to work. They were not disruptive and got the job done in less than one day. They didn't damage my lawn with their equipment and they checked multiple times that they cleaned up properly and didn't miss anything. They are a local company that I highly recommend.

We had Frey work on our house on a fairly substantial remodeling project, and I would summarize the…read morework they did as excellent. The project we did remodeled a huge section of our kitchen and dining room building a second story even. They helped us through every step of the project. From the initial design estimates, to iterating on our ideas and providing feedback, to helping select trims and finish, and then building the entire extension. They were always patient with us when we needed more time to think about the project, but they were always immediately responsive when we needed their input. They are certainly a premium contractor, but for a project of that scale, it was not something that we could have ever hoped to accomplish on our own. It certainly made sense for us to pick a excellent contractor who would be prepared for every scenario. And that is what we got with Frey. With a project of this size, I think common knowledge would cause the average person to assume that there would be substantial delays and setbacks. but the entire time we worked with Frey, there from the day they broke ground to the day it was done, they didn't slip a single deadline. Their staff was always incredibly professional. The subcontractors that they worked with were top notch. You could tell that the people who were here working on our home really cared about the project and wanted to make it good and make it right, and they would redo parts of it if they weren't done correctly. we really appreciated the attention to detail. There were many times when I thought that they went above and beyond to help make the remodeling project go smoothly. Notably, they helped move all of our appliances and counter surfaces into our living room so that we could continue to live out of our living room while our entire kitchen was being demoed and remodeled. It wasn't work that they needed to do, but they were more than happy to help. If we ever needed to do another large scale remodeling project, they would be the first people we would call.

We chose J & V based on reviews and personal interactions with Jose. His estimate was complete,…read moreinformative and professional. But what we got was SO MUCH MORE! The supply company delivered the wrong shingles (similar to those we chose, but hard to tell). The roofers were so efficient that they had the old roof off and the new installed before Jose could make it on site. He halted his crew immediately and contacted the supplier. Without any hesitation, he informed us of what had happened and recommended that we wait for the shingles we ordered (much higher quality) regardless of the additional cost to him. The very next day his crew was back removing the incorrect shingles, Jose personally delivered the correct ones, and finished our roof the same day. It looks gorgeous (and SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL DELIVERED SHINGLES DID)! J & V not only does a great and timely job, but Jose's integrity, honestly, and professionalism are second to none. He took full responsibility for the mistake even though he ordered the correct shingles from the supplier (he had the original order and showed us). We would not hesitate to recommend J & V Roofing.

Our house has a complicated driveway and parking situation which their crew was able to work around seamlessly. Our HOA had its own approval layer on top of the city permit, and Sun Vault Roofing helped us navigate a two-week back-and-forth over approved shingle colors (side salad: ridiculous that HOAs have this kind of bureaucracy). Despite the complications, Sun Vault Roofing kept us updated through every delay and milestone without us having to chase anyone down. That alone was worth the price difference. The crew showed up on time, worked two full days, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The roof has now been through 2-3 major storms since installation, including the crazy hail in April and there is not a speck of damage. Everything looks sharp and clean. You can tell was done right all the way from the street. If you're getting multiple bids for a roof replacement in the Madison area, make sure Sun Vault Roofing is one of them. Just don't let the price be the reason you go somewhere else, if they are not the lowest. The quality they provide is worth it.
