No quote, no scheduled time to come out and look at any of the issues around the home. I responded to Cory that day letting him know about the siding and asked when they would get an estimate to me or schedule a visit. No response. I emailed Cory again saying I was still waiting a response and asked if Doug's Handyman Service was still interested in the jobs? No response. So I called their main number and left a voicemail, no response. I even filled out another inquiry on their site and got no response. I'm not sure why they ghosted me when I have many small jobs that I want to pay someone to fix. Either they are too busy or they don't want to jobs. Which is fine, but at least respond to the customers.

Adam explained that french doors are expensive and heavy, so he would need two guys to do the install. He quoted a week out. It took two weeks for the doors to arrive. I'm sure this was out of his control. Another week for him to come and install them. He said he was working on other jobs and then hurt his knee. Understandable. When he came to install the doors he showed up alone. He said his guys were tied up on another job so he might not finish that day. I thought I was paying for two guys? Anyways, he did get the doors installed that day by himself. He was very nice. I work at home, so I had to be there all day. He did a good job installing them. At the end of the day he explained to me that the door manufacturer had done a terrible job priming the doors, so I would have to sand them before I did a final paint job. Wait, I have to paint the doors for you? I thought I was paying for a complete job... I spent the entire next day getting paint matched and meticulously painting the doors, casing, trim, and surrounding drywall myself. Lucky I know how to do that I guess. Like I said it was a mixed experience. Adam was pleasant to communicate with. He was pretty good at communicating the day before and the day of by text and email. The price he quoted me was the price I was billed. So there were a couple of positives. I just don't plan on getting any more work done by this company.

Extra things come up on the job, like broken gutters and the installation of a bathroom rooftop exhaust fan. Only $800 for the 5 different extras. The boss and owner. Last fall, I reported that I felt they weren't working properly. When their service technician came out, I was told that the sashes were a quarter of an inch shorter than they should have been. He ordered new sashes. When they arrived, he installed them in two windows but in the third the latches didn't line up. He told me that he would order new ones and install the latches himself. On January 19th, one of the windows that was replaced in the master bedroom had a seal failure and there was ice in the bedroom, which I let Thebco know about. On May 20th, the service technician brought only one sash with the wrong latches. I called Thebco in early July and received an email apologizing blaming the manufacturer for the delay. I called again on July 17th and haven't received a response. Was Canadian wild fire smoke getting into our bedroom, and did I have increased utility costs with windows that may not be operating at 100%? Is this what you would consider good customer service?
