My roof was done less than 5 years ago and is in great condition. I called to ask what they saw and the slick saleswoman on the phone tried to tell me I "misconstrued" the meaning of "it looks like it's reaching the end of its lifespan" and that it really meant that they were simply offering a free inspection. I have been in professional construction for over 50 years, and it is sleazy operators like this who give honest roofers a bad name. Just say NO to Storm Guard Roofing and Construction!

This past spring we had our roof completely replaced with an Owens Corning roofing system. I had requested bids from just about all of the major contractors in the Madison area and Storm Guard came out on top. The speed at which the job was completed was unreal. There was always someone checking in to make sure everything was being completed as expected and kept us fully informed throughout the process. The roof on the house and garage look great and after a summer of rain and wind everything is tight. Great warranty from Storm Guard and Owens Corning - nice to know they stand behind their work. I would go back to Storm Guard for any of my future projects and would happily recommend their services. A well deserved 2 thumbs up and 5 stars (+).

Our house has a complicated driveway and parking situation which their crew was able to work around seamlessly. Our HOA had its own approval layer on top of the city permit, and Sun Vault Roofing helped us navigate a two-week back-and-forth over approved shingle colors (side salad: ridiculous that HOAs have this kind of bureaucracy). Despite the complications, Sun Vault Roofing kept us updated through every delay and milestone without us having to chase anyone down. That alone was worth the price difference. The crew showed up on time, worked two full days, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The roof has now been through 2-3 major storms since installation, including the crazy hail in April and there is not a speck of damage. Everything looks sharp and clean. You can tell was done right all the way from the street. If you're getting multiple bids for a roof replacement in the Madison area, make sure Sun Vault Roofing is one of them. Just don't let the price be the reason you go somewhere else, if they are not the lowest. The quality they provide is worth it.

Not only was Benji and his team great to work with they took the time to explain the process, answer my questions, and even keep me informed through out the process from scheduling to installation. Benji even helped me navigate the insurance process (since this was my first home owners claim) and explained next steps to make sure my insurance company was kept in the loop and on board with our solutions. They were quick, clean and very nice. When they found some construction mistakes under the old roof, Benji talked through my options, explained the costs (which was very minimal) and made sure I was comfortable with proceeding with the repair. After the roof was replaced it looked nicer and more finished than the original roof I had when I bought the house. Ace Exteriors took the time to install edging that completed the look and hid the hardware underneath. Extra bonus! Overall this team went above and beyond my expectations. I've had many contractors work on my house (large companies and small) and Ace Exteriors was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I feel good about the work that was completed, and the cost was very reasonable. Super happy to work with them again.

The supply company delivered the wrong shingles (similar to those we chose, but hard to tell). The roofers were so efficient that they had the old roof off and the new installed before Jose could make it on site. He halted his crew immediately and contacted the supplier. Without any hesitation, he informed us of what had happened and recommended that we wait for the shingles we ordered (much higher quality) regardless of the additional cost to him. The very next day his crew was back removing the incorrect shingles, Jose personally delivered the correct ones, and finished our roof the same day. It looks gorgeous (and SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL DELIVERED SHINGLES DID)! J & V not only does a great and timely job, but Jose's integrity, honestly, and professionalism are second to none. He took full responsibility for the mistake even though he ordered the correct shingles from the supplier (he had the original order and showed us). We would not hesitate to recommend J & V Roofing.

Three firms came to the home to give us a detailed quotation. We decided on Ridge Top Exteriors because they gave a competitive quote and offered no-interest financing. The work was completed in August 2019. The following comments are our observations: Dave H., our company contact, was responsive to our concerns. He was knowledgeable and professional. The gentleman who did the soffits/fascia, Te**i, was fantastic! I would suggest him to anyone to 'bend tin' on their home. Our home had some interesting corners, he completed the work expertly. As for the sub-contractor who installed the gutters (T**y), I would NOT say the same. The gutters were rolled and installed correctly, as well as function (for the most part). Significant gaps were left behind where the roof flashing and the gutter apron overlap (meaning did not overlap). Since they are 'low profile' style gutters, now my discolored roof flashing is visible. I mentioned this unsightly new development to Dave H., who informed me that the roofing company should have installed a new roof flashing with the new roof (meaning there was nothing to be done, except painting). In addition, I have two small rivers, which now run down my roof valleys and over the new gutters during rainstorms. When you hire a company, you pay for their labors and expertise. I would suggest Ridge Top Exteriors to others, however, the gutter sub-contractor, T**y, I would NOT recommend, as it seems they do not possess the expertise. Thank you for reading my review and I hope you found it informative.

This two-star rating does not reflect the quality of work performed by the individual sub-contracted companies, which final product was satisfactory after timely repairs. The low rating is due to a significant lack of communication with Ridge Top, and unfinished work. Sub-contracted crews showed up on-site unannounced or changed their work schedule without notice from Ridge Top. We were informed we did not need to be home on days only outdoor projects would be completed, and yet crews were ringing the doorbell asking for instructions about installation that was not provided to them by Ridge Top (window orientation, down spout locations, etc). This interfered with work-from-home meetings. During siding work, the doorbell circuit was closed by poor nail placement causing it to run continuously. This resulted in both the door bell and transformer to become overheated and melt the bell chime cover inside the house. This was replaced by an electrician in a timely manner. Significant work-site debris was left in the yard, and Ridge Top's project managers shared our alarm at the final walk through. Together, we picked up roofing brackets, pail-full of nails we have collected with our own magnet, trimmed pieces of fascia/soffit/siding, and whole shingles. When we signed with Ridge Top we specifically asked, and were assured, that the new window trim would match the existing size, eliminating the need for additional significant drywall and paint repair. After 2 separate measurement appointments before installation, the finished trim installed on 13 windows was significantly smaller. We raised this concern during installation and at multiple walkthroughs, but it was repeatedly ignored. At the final walkthrough, Ridge Top acknowledged the extensive repairs required to both drywall and painting, and offered to provide compensation if we could get a quote from our own painter. Unfortunately, 2 weeks after the quote was shared with Ridge Top and multiple un-returned phone calls, they reversed this decision citing generic contract terms. This situation would not have been an issue had Ridge Top honored their initial assurance of minimal repairs or addressed the problem promptly. Instead, the lack of transparency and follow-through has resulted in unnecessary additional expenses and frustration.
