Delicious pastries! Loved the pistachio chocolate croissant - so fresh Staff didn't try to push or make a sale as the display cases were starting to empty since we went towards the end of the day. They weren't super friendly, but also was not rude. Ambiance is clean - white, no seating. We went to eat across the street near the boats

Carissa has good food and some truly delicious pastries, but unfortunately the service is extremely disappointing. There's a woman who seems to be either the manager or the owner, and her attitude comes across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. A lot of people had warned me about the service here, but I still wanted to give it a chance. Sadly, I had the same experience, and I won't be coming back. It's a shame because the place has so much potential to be a warm, inviting spot, but the lack of hospitality really takes away from it. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

Charming spot for teatime. Satisfying cappuccinos and lattes. Friendly counter service for their baked goods. Of all that I have tried, well baked are their croissants and tasty are their tarts, however my absolutely favorite is Carissa's out of the ordinary in texture and taste, "Miso Chocolate Chunk Cookie"! CHEERS!

One place I'll definitely visit when I go back to the Hamptons is Carissa's - from the outside to the building and the simple minimalist aesthetic interior, I'm hooked. But first, let's talk pastries. Got the cake, croissants and pistachio croissant. Everything was delightful and oh I wish I were back there.

Stunning interior design. We dined and service was decently quick; pastries were available right after ordering, with the only wait being for the coffee and sandwiches. We tried the chocolate croissant, smoked turkey sandwich, and pistachio latte. Chocolate croissant was OK, but our friends absolutely loved the pistachio croissant. Pistachio latte was only OK, but they are probably not known for their coffee beans. However, the smoked turkey sandwich was fantastic. the ciabatta bread was perfectly crisp and crunchy with the nice doughy interior, and the turkey paired so well with the crunchy kohlrabi slaw. The tomatoes were also extremely fresh!! Highly recommend this sandwich, definitely would be on my top sandwich list.

Totally worth the drive from Montauk. Met friends for lunch. Had the salmon bowl. Crazy good. Great flavor and well prepared. Everyone liked their lunch. Tried some of the treats - shared: Lemon glazed loaf Pistachio croissant Chocolate croissant One better than the next. Had a decaf latte with pistachio milk. Very good. You can't go wrong here.

So delicious. The best egg sandwich. Worth the expensive prices. Dine in is seat yourself and order at the counter.

Excellent pastries! I love that they change them up as well so I've tried many different things here. Today ordered chocolate croissants, a plain croissant for my sister ("I could eat these all day"), fromage bread (favorite for today) and a pistachio croissant. The pistachio croissant had pistachio cream and chocolate inside. All 5 items cost approximately $26. I find their pastry and bread are well priced and not jacked up for the Hamptons. There wasn't much of a line to order even though the parking lot was packed. My server was friendly enough. Sometimes the staff tend to be a bit unfriendly or rather they just seemed bored/unhappy.

Came to Carissa's for a quick lunch and latte one afternoon while visiting the Hamptons, and quickly fell in love with the ambience. The coffee was definitely delicious, and for lunch I got their broccolini sandwich. I LOVED the sandwich. It had roasted broccolini with preserved lemon and aged cheddar. Absolutely delicious. I will say that the kitchen forgot my order so I waited a while, but the server was so apologetic and gave me a treat on the house. I chose a croissant and I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had. So incredibly flaky and buttery. Perfectly laminated. Again, it's pricey here but it's the Hamptons so what do we expect? Highly recommend this spot.

The vibes are immaculate. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I got the chai tea latte, lemon poppyseed scone, and the avocado toast with bacon. OMG. Everything is a 10/10. The chai is perfect. Not too sweet but still very spiced forward. The scone was not too dry and all the right amount of sweetness. The avocado toast is to die for. The avocado is perfectly ripped, the jammy egg has me questioning my egg making skills, and the chili crisp adds a nice kick without it being overpowering. The bacon I added add an extra layer of protein, which was perfectly cooked. My friends got a ham and cheese croissant, which I tasted and wished I got one to go. Overall, this is an outstanding place for bites that are filling and delicious. I can't wait to try their lunch goodies!!

Buttermilk Fried Chicken had super crisp skin and was executed and presented perfectly, great tasting together with the accompanied pickled vegetables and hot-honey butter. I really do take far too many photos, but it's helpful because then I remember there are spots I may have forgotten to write up like Macchiato Espresso Bar. I visited this cute Mattituck location back in late August and the results were pretty tasty. You see my wife and I were looking for some coffee and a place that's different than what we've often found on the North Fork and so MEB popped up as an option. Not a ton of reviews were posted, but from the ones on Yelp (and dare I say Google too) made it seem worthy of stopping. The worthiness is definitely there because Macchiato has a nice array of coffee options as well as pastries and more elaborate edibles (sandwiches, salads, etc.). You can find everything on their menus though you won't find too much else inside as the place is definitely small. A couple of tables, some fridge drinks and pre-maid foods, and an area of swag and other items is the entirety of the interior so don't expect any true cozy feels. But hey, you can't drink cozy (well maybe in the Fall/Winter), and so let's turn our attention back to the name of this place and focus on coffee. I went with an iced latte with vanilla while my wife tried the iced chocolate (as it was written on the menu). For me, I liked mine. Nothing negative to necessarily say about it as it had a good coffee kick, but when my wife felt like hers was a little too heavy in the bitter bang before the chocolate took over, I decided for us to switch drinks as I thought the iced chocolate was delightful (I do like my coffee a little stronger). Before finishing up, I do want to mention that we were a bit hungry and so one of the chocolate croissants in the display case made its way into our possession. The funny interaction my wife had with the friendly staff member ("Is that a chocolate croissant?" "You know it is!") added to our excitement and oh did it pay off as it tasted delicious. Overall, Macchiato Espresso Bar had a lot to like. Perhaps they're a little small, but they pack some good coffee and pastry/food choices in an area that really doesn't have a ton of options. I'd definitely return another time when out east and in search of my morning cup of joe along with a desire for a bite to eat. And with that I can now post some very belated pics with this review so the CMs stay off my back!
