After much deliberation, I bought a set of sheets at the Membership Box store. Love the softness, but everything else is not good. They were poorly made: strings hanging off the edges, less elastic than my other sheets so they don't stay on the bed as well, and they sag below the mattress since the elastic is narrow and not enough of it. Biggest problem: about a year out, the fabric is starting to fuzz and pill into little hard balls where the ends of the yarn/thread they wove the fabric with are breaking. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. Even at the box store, they are the most expensive sheets I've ever bought, and lasted about 1/4 the time of anything else I've ever bought. I ordered a set of sheets from Cariohla. I just received them and at the same time today, I received a BOGO offer for the same exact set of sheets they just delivered. I called and asked if I could take advantage of the BOGO and get another set of sheets. Although I am one of their good customers (we have several sets of sheets, many towel sets, underwear and shirts), the lady I spoke with said because I ordered it more than 5 days ago (it took 11 days to get here), in order to get the BOGO, I have to pay for shipping back of my new set of sheets and then I could buy two new sheets that they would send out to me for the price of one set. She would not budge even after I told her of all the items I had purchased. I offered to return the sheets to my local Cariolha store, but she said it would have to be returned by mail at my cost. Went in to buy a bath towel to replace one that I bought years ago from this same shop. The lone associate was finishing up a sale but greeted me and was very friendly. I told her what I needed and immediately showed me exactly what I wanted. I added another just because she was so nice. Great towels in fact the only ones my wife uses. I could not say enough good things about my first ever experience with Cariloha! First off, the products in themselves are like nothing I've ever felt before. RUN, don't walk to get yourself some sheets. They feel like butter AND sleep cool. I'm in heaven. Second, I have NEVER experienced a shopping experience like I did during my time in the Cariloha in Wailea, Maui. If you don't need to buy anything, then stop by just to have an encounter with the darling store manager, Olivia. (You will want to buy it all though) She was helpful every step of the way and answered by variety of Q's. I have never met such a beautiful individual so willing to help and in such a kind way. My mom and I went in here on Saturday, April 2nd and were told by whoever was working there that day (younger woman) that shirts were buy 3, get the 4th free. We picked out 2 shirts and didn't think we'd get 3 or 4, but while my mom was being rung up for the 2 shirts, I saw a shirt that I liked and brought it to her at the checkout stand. My mom was still in the process of checking out and asked if this meant that we could pick out a 4th shirt for free (presumably getting only the cheapest of the 4 for free) but the young woman said that we wouldn't be able to get the discount because we had already started paying for the first 2. She didn't even offer to cancel the transaction or do an immediate "return" so that we could get a 4th shirt for free, and my mom was too nice to ask, so we just paid for the 3 shirts and left. read more

Walked in store only one sales clerk Available which was fine. Absolutely no greeting from her. We shopped around for about 10 minutes and then went and picked out a T-shirt that we liked that had no pricing on the tags there was no pricing on any of the clothing. Tried to make I took contact with sales clerk to no avail she completely ignored us. I said excuse me what's the price on this T-shirt only to get an evil eye and then the quoted price. my husband proceeded to the checkout register and she walked over there to ring us up again with no greeting, no smile or any verbal contact with us. She rang it up my husband said thank you and she said " Yep!" She should've been thanking us. Maybe she was having a bad day because she look like she just rolled out of bed at 3 o'clock in the afternoon my husband loves the shirt and the fabric but the sales clerk and there will chase the customers away I will never walk in there again. that's too bad. Love shopping at Cariloha. I love their Bamboo T-shirts. This particular store was in the back corner of the Wailea Shops. Its on the first floor. This one is like their other stores filled with that bright green color and well lit. It's well stocked and came with good timing. It's a decent size; just not as large as the other stores in the Carribean. They had stocked athletic clothes here which i haven't seen from cariloha yet. It's a bit pricey. We had good service here. The young lady watching the store was very helpful, energetic and friendly. She was able to help us with our purchases and inform us of their sales and lightly promoted the cariloha brand. read more

We purchased sheets, comforter, duvet cover and king sized cool comfort pillow! The pillow was hard as a rock. When I called the store to tell them we needed to contact customer service and send the pillow back, I contacted customer service and was told it was the consumers cost in paying for the return. It would be soba but anything sent from Hawaii is expensive! The cost was half of the pillow! 60.00! I would never have purchased the pillow based on this and possibly the duvet cover! Buyer beware if you need to return, the store will not take the item back! For the cost of the items, the store should be taking the returns! Disappointed customer! read more

I love Cariloha! Everything in the store is made out of bamboo, so it's all incredibly soft! I have several shirts and I always try to get at least one when I am around one of the Hawaii stores. They have unique island specific designs. The product itself keeps me coming back. I wear the shirts everywhere. Its especially nice in the warm months to have a bamboo shirt because it seems to breathe better than my other shirts. I also have the bedsheets and I will not sleep on anything else. I bought two pair so when I am washing one, I can sleep on the other. The sheets are a little bit more than you would pay for normal sheets, but you definitely get what you pay for. All of the product has held up and still feels like new. The product is AMAZING! Good for the environment as well. The staff is another thing I pay attention to in stores like this, I have yet to have a bad experience in a Cariloha. The staff is so friendly from the moment you walk in to the second you walk. They seems to be well educated on the product and have answered every question I have. These people know how to sell! The store seemed to be very clean and taken care of. Well stocked and everything was in order. Great experience. read more

Purchased a set of King Resort Style sheets in Maui for our Santa Monica home. Last night was the first night my wife and I slept on them. All I can say is that these are the softest, coolest, most comfortable sheets we have ever slept on in our lives. We are in LOVE with them! And the woman that helped us at the store was incredibly helpful. I can't say enough about these sheets. We will never sleep on any other sheets for the rest of our lives - guaranteed. I go back and forth between our home here and in Maui. Can't wait to go back to Maui to get another set for our Maui home and some of their towels. read more

We bought a set of sheets from the Whalers Village location in March, and all I can say is that it was a complete rip off. The girls at the store told us that 'these will be the last set of sheets you'll ever buy!' because they will replace them if they're torn, stained, damaged by your dogs (the one girl specifically said that because she had 5 dogs that damaged hers more than once)...Turns out it was all a lie. They don't replace for any pet damage, or stains, or tears. When I verified this on their website less than 12 hours after I ordered, and told them what I'd been told (repeatedly, since I went back twice and questioned the warranty before I bought) by the girls working at the store, they offered no apology, nor could they stop the shipment and refund my money. I could return them at my cost. This company is dishonest and the customer service was way below par. The sheets aren't even that great-they are soft, but nothing special for the price. Beware what you're told and know that it's most likely a lie to get you to buy! read more

A complete rip off. Do not believe what they say about their clothing not shrinking because of the material (Bamboo) used. One wash and the shirt shrank so much I had to donate to goodwill. That T-Shirt was $39. I got one wear out of it. The young sales clerk swore it was pre-shrunk and would be very durable. I should have looked at the tag where the product was made (India) and had I saw that I would have known not to trust the clerk's feedback. So of course I got home from our Maui vacation threw the shirt into the wash and realized afterwards it was ruined because of the shrinking. Love how soft Caroliha sheets are. Have purchased four sets of sheets/duvet covers and one set of bath towels over the past 5 years at this store and the one in Kauai. The towels have held up and feel brand new. The duvet covers are also in great shape except for buttons falling off which happens with every duvet cover. My only complaint is the fitted sheets. After a while they loose their elasticity and don't seem to hold onto the mattress as they should. They slip off of the corners all the time and it drives me nuts. Have purchased the regular sheets and their resort wear or whatever they call it... (more expensive) and have had the problem with both. Other than that I love them and have had friends and family ask where I have purchased them. Love the product except for the fitted sheets. read more
