I was going to go to an Urgent Care but thought if I could get an appointment that same day or the next I should probably go see my PCP. I called the office as soon as they opened to see if I could get in and was told there had been a cancellation and I could be there in the next 2 hours. That was a big relief. When I got there I didn't have to wait too long to be called back. After he came in and I explained what was going on he was very dismissive and acted like I was wasting his time for being there. He was in the room less than 10 minutes total and basically told me to go home and take a vitamin and eat better. He looked at some lab results I had taken just 2 days prior because I had an annual checkup already scheduled for the next week. He said he didn't see anything wrong in my bloodwork either. Later that day the issue I had seen him for started to spread to other areas of my body and I ended up in the ER because of it. Also after reviewing all of my bloodwork results from the ones taken just 2 days prior there were some things that were showing that there really was a bigger problem going on. I have decided that I will not be using him as my PCP in the future. He has a lot of 5 star reviews and only 5 star reviews. But after reading through them even the other patients who pretty much reported the same behavior from him it showed 5 stars. There is definitely something off about that. There is no way a patient treated like we were wasting his time coming to him with our petty problems would leave a 5 star reviews. That just made me not trust him even more. No doctor only has 5 star reviews So, I will have to try and find a new doctor who will actually care about their patients and be respectful to them.

My dissatisfaction stems from the fact that during my check-up I was asked if I had any concerns, at which point I mentioned some mild issues I had been having and the doctor simply confirmed that the steps I had already been taking or was planning to take were appropriate. I was then surprised to find that this interaction led to me being charged an extra $153 because speaking about an issue reclassified my visit from a check-up (covered by my insurance) to a level 3 office visit (not covered by my insurance). In my opinion, a doctor should not ask a question which if answered will incur an extra cost without warning the patient. When I brought this up to the staff, I was told most people have better insurance than I do and that is why they do not warn patients that answering the question could incur unexpected costs, which I did not feel was a satisfactory answer.

Following a review and tests of back pain, I was given a set of leg and hip stretches that eliminated the pain. There has also been little to no explanation of what is going on, even when asked. We have been given very vague answers. They were a little bit quicker to communicate with us in the beginning when wanting to set up testing AKA get our money. Still has yet to provide an explanation of test results after multiple messages asking (all appears to be fine from what we see on the portal - guess since they can't get more appointments and money we no longer matter). Current doc does not appear to have reviewed past medical records and took them into account when recommending a bone marrow biopsy. Disappointed that the nurse was congratulating the doctor for performing 2 biopsies in one day. Beginning to feel like my husband was put through unneeded testing to meet some twisted quota. When we arrived after booking our appointments online, we were promptly seen and triaged. The PA was thorough and conducted appropriate lab work. We left with appropriate care. This visit was much better than the first one I made with them. My son and I received great care. I would go back to them again for similar symptoms. When looking at their ratings versus other facilities in the area that were open today - they had the best ratings and once we arrived they got patients in and out quickly.

And they've screwed up my families billing to many times to count. We have 2, yes two forms of health insurance. When you try to call to fix the issue, you can't understand what they are saying except for "that's your bill, pay now?" "We bill you, you pay" Avoid the medical billing shakedown from these 3rd party mobsters. They'll have you in collections for thousands over a aspirin that you never took. They do medical billing code like they are playing a game of bingo. AFC, if you want to be a better place, ditch the 3rd party mobsters and con artists. Staff and doctors are great, not worth dealing with a shakedown for your money because they have no idea how to bill your insurance.
