I want to Mount Regis for Medical Detox and rehab for Alcoholism. I worked, but... 1st, the clinical staff were fantastic and very supportive. I got more out of one on one sessions and small group sessions, then large group sessions. Most of the large group topics applied to coping mechanisms and trauma therapy. (Which for me helped very little) 2nd, the food was 3 star cafeteria food, processed meat (mostly chicken) and ok veggies. The cafeteria staff were great (minus 1) you will definitely form a bond with them (ask for Auntie, he will make you day...and yes it's a guy...you'll get it when you meet him) 3nd, Admission and case management. Very sub par. Grant I was there when they just extended number of patients they could hold. But, first going in went well (minus, me starting to detox while speaking with them. Nothing I of them could do about that). But trying to get information, requests in was extremely difficult. Between lack of availability of the staff in discharge planning and getting a go to the person and that person telling you go to the person you already talked to... 4th, Nursing staff, same as the administration staff, but they didn't even seem to care. They acted like, I'm here for a pay check. Overall, I went there to get help, mission accomplished. But I would recommend a smaller facility.

This is now day two, and I have yet to speak to anyone that can assist with getting my wife a rental car and speaking with an adjuster to start my claim. For a business of this magnitude, this is totally unacceptable. Frustrated in Roanoke!

They are ALL kind and non-judgemental to ALL of their patients. If you've had experience trying to get help for someone you care about, you probably know how rare this experience is. You've likely witnessEd the person you love - or you yourself - treated unkindly, disrespectfully, judgementally, and often even in an ugly manner. You will not find that here. Not from the doctor, the nurses, the receptionist, counselors, or even the clinic director. They ALL sincerely want to help people struggling with addiction - and it shows. They even want to help the people who love someone that is struggling with addiction, because addiction is hard on everyone involved, not just the patient. If every clinic, hospital, or medical office treated patients so respectfully and kindly, anyone suffering from addiction would have an excellent chance fighting it. I am 00001 and I'm so happy to transfer from Pulaski medical. The Director at CCTC is super nice and Alla one of the counselors is also nice. Actually everyone there that I meet was super nice. The dr miss Qoral is awesome and she is a Lady of color. Her name is pronounced like the word coral but with a Q. She takes plenty of time with you at the appointment to thoroughly listen to and address your concerns, never makes you feel rushed or ignorant. She doesn't mentally 'check out', either. I've always loved taking our children to Dr. Kim but just now when she called me the day after an appointment with our new baby to let me know some ideas she had when she got home that day sealed it for me. That my baby was on her mind even when she was 'off the clock' says to me that she's a keeper, and I highly recommend her to anyone, especially families, who might be on the hunt for a doctor who actually cares.
