After moving to the Chicago area, my Caribou Coffee visits are few and far between. This means I take any opportunity to get my Bou on when I find myself near one. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were a few of them inside the Denver International Airport. I made it past security, located my gate, and then went to claim my bounty! There was one lady working the shop and who appeared to maybe be another employee on break or maybe someone from another shop. They were chatting, but she stepped aside to assist me and was very friendly. I got an Iced Honey Lavender Latte (Large). It was prepared in practically no time. Because it was so large, it wasn't fully chilled when I got it, so I wheeled on over to a bar and let it cool down before brining it to my gate. When I finally got to try it, it was quite tasty and I'll be missing all their delicious drinks until I'm near a Caribou again. read more

Stopped here last week on Thanksgiving morning and couldn't have been more impressed with the good energy and level of service from the baristas. The person working at the register was so pleasant and the rest of the team turning out drinks so fast. I was a hot mess express trying to manage my luggage and my hangover, and when I got my drink I immediately dropped it and it spilled all over the floor. It is inauspicious to be traveling during these COVID times, but sometimes it's mandatory. However, for a coffee spot to be open this early is commendable. The guy who took my order (twice) was FANTASTIC. The cramped little nook in the middle of C Gates was very clean, well organized, and well stocked. The poor rating comes from the terrible product. I ordered a chai latte against my better judgement and a chocolate croissant. As a kid, I loved Caribou's mocha drinks but wasn't feeling that this morning. The chai was plastic-y and all around off and the chocolate croissant was unbelievably stale. Really wish this had been a Starbucks instead. read more

Oh Caribou, what amazing memories you'd given me as a child. I love your fireplace, the rustic furniture, and the special little chocolate covered espresso bean I always get with my mochas. And since you're not on the west coast, I plan my layovers to give me extra time for campfire mochas and turtle mochas. Yes two mochas. Don't judge me. There was a new cashier behind the counter that day and for some reason, she just couldn't get the register to ring up the drinks properly. Her shift supervisor (an older gentleman that gently walked her through the steps again and again) had to erase every modification-soymilk, extra shot, light chocolate etc. and by the time I finally paid, a line of testy caffeine deprived people formed past the tables. I hate being that person who holds up a line but there was just nothing I could do about it. When I picked up my drinks, I sat down to read a few chapters of my book and relax. I got a hell of a shock when I opened it up and found a short black hair. My stomach kind of churned and my appetite was definitely lost. I tossed out both cups and got a Jamba Juice smoothie instead. I can't imagine how messy and dirty the counter must be in order for hair to find itself in a cup but I'll definitely have to go without Caribou unless I'm back home at a real store again. read more

The service here was terrible. No one knew what was going on. One of the staff members, a woman with a hair bun on the top of her head, was extremely rude. People coming in to this coffee shop are tired from traveling. The last thing they need is someone who is rude. If you choose to work in the customer service industry your first priority should be your customers. She was laughing and joking with her coworkers in front of customers and it was very rude. You've got me as a lifetime customer. :-) In all my years of traveling around the country (20+ years), I have never seen a line at a coffee shop... in an airport... move so quickly! The line was 15 people deep. I ordered my coffee at 9:00 am and my coffee was ready at 9:04 am!!! The Caribou Coffee morning team (9am) was extremely efficient, communicated well and were so friendly. They really know what customer service is all about. I definitely recommend this coffee shop! I paid with visa and she used it on the wrong side and gave it back to me saying it got declined (with an attitude). I asked her to swipe the card instead of using the chip: she did it again and inserted the card on the wrong side (chip was outside when card was inserted). I had to ask her if she knew what a chip was and told her again to swipe. I would have expected from a cashier to know what a chip is and to swipe the card by herself if the chip doesn't work for some reason. You can't make a customer leave because he/she only has one card with them for travel. Not to mention an hungry customer that will think for 10+hrs that his card doesn't work and won't eat. Giving 3 stars because coffee was amazing and because it is only this employee that seem to have an issue which i believe isn't something usual from them. read more

I will admit it, I am a Starbucks addict. I love (and need) decaf espresso and it is hard to find it made properly almost anywhere else. But this place did a good job. Hard for me to say, but it tasted just fine. The people were nice, there was only one other customer so it is hard to know how they would handle a crowd, often a test that many coffee shops fail. But I sure will give them another try. It's upstairs on the mezzanine above the big hall at the main terminal, just above the exit for the train passengers on the baggage/security level. read more

Probably my favorite place to get a cup of coffee at DIA. Since I work at the airport, I am usually always in desperate need for a cup of joe, and Caribou always delivers. It's honestly gotten to the point where I've classically conditioned myself to not have a good day at work unless it begins with some coffee from Caribou Coffee. Now, I'm no coffee aficionado or anything like that, but I personally enjoy Caribou's brand of coffee. It has caffeine in it and it's hot, so it definitely gets the job done. The pastries are all pretty okay as well. My personal favorites are their cookies. Chocolate chip seems like it'd be pretty generic but their cookies are jam packed with big chocolate chips. Delish to the max. I also enjoy the chocolate croissants they have but these get pretty messy cause of all the flakes. Now it is a little on the expensive side of things, but hey it's an airport what do you expect? The employees are always nice and friendly and they seem to always have smiles on their faces. As long as I'm still working at DIA, I'll always continue to be a patron of Caribou Coffee's! read more

I've had Caribou Coffee plenty of times back when I was in school in North Carolina. Fairly good stuff. I stopped at this Caribou while waiting for my layover flight. Needing a bit of refreshment, I ordered the Mint Condition Mocha cooler. I asked for soymilk and the cashier told me they couldn't do the cooler with soymilk...but they could if I had it over ice? How strange. So I had it over ice though I really wanted a cooler; I told her I needed soymilk for sure as I'm milk intolerant. Guess whose drink had milk in it? Right after I took a sip, I knew. My head got a little woozy and my stomach twisted itself into a knot. My flight started lining up for boarding but I had to make a bathroom run. I paid 65 extra cents for soymilk that I didn't get, and I ended up having a very uncomfortable 3 hour flight back home after I managed to make my way to the gate. C'mon people! read more

Tried the Cold Pressed Iced Coffee at this DIA location, it's nothing to write home about, but they were nice to give me water. There's only two little tables so good luck finding a seat! Two weeks later I found out my purchase of this time helped me earn a reward of a free drink, not too shabby! And when I found out the reward expires too soon than I can make it, I e-mailed corporate and asked for an extension. Two days later they wrote back granting that request. So I would say they have pretty good customer service at Caribou Coffee. read more

The price of the coffee here was pretty good, an iced latte with an extra shot of espresso came to a little over 3 dollars when I was paying over $4 at the Daz Bog while I was at UCHealth. Really tasty coffee with a bold pronounced flavor and it wasnt overly sweet. I was on the hunt or something on the healthier side and Ill say their menu was totally limited. It seemed like all they had was a few kinds of oatmeal and a baked goods case that was half empty. The barista at the machine made up a bit for the rest of the experience because she was able to inform me that Caribou had just bought Einstein Bros. Hopefully that will amp up the pastry side of things and I would be happy to give another star because the coffee itself was pretty saistying and priced well. read more
